Deadsea 1993
Is ''Too much'' a good answer. ZING. In all seriousness I would guess thousands including NES, PS1, N64, Game Cube (That abomination lol), PS2, Xbox, PS3, and 360. @ Dragon. WTF 1,000 on Skylanders. I never could get into that series. My nephew wanted Giants badly on PS3 for Christmas when It came out. Despite having tons of the toys he never plays it. I always loved JaK, Ratchet and Clank, and Spyro growing up but this game turned me off. Now he wants Swap Force and Disney Infinity. Hes 10 and I told him to get a job lol. I said ''Nope they are a huge waste of money. All you ever play is COD on your PS3 and my copy of GTA V on my 360. I guess I'll buy you the new COD as a Birthday and Christmas present since you were happy that I bought you Ghosts for Christmas last year. The kid is spoiled I spent over 100$ on him during Christmas last year buying him Uncharted Trilogy, God of War Saga, Infamous Collection, and Ghosts. He only likes playing COD and Gta V so I'm just gonna get him COD every year.'' Edited March 21, 2014 by Deadsea 1993
EmporerDragon
There's a few reasons I have so many Skylanders 1) I like the collecting aspect. Trying to get a complete set is always rewarding, moreso when what you're collecting can actually be used for something. I've been that way ever since I got into the Star Trek CCG 20 years ago, and I've sunk far more into the various CCGs and Miniatures games than what I've put into Skylanders. 2) I enjoy the games. The characters are fun and interesting, and the game itself makes for a nice change of pace compared to some of the other popular titles out there. 3) I have a niece and several young cousins who stop by the house frequently and like to play on my systems. Skylanders is one of the more popular games they like to play. Surprisingly, none of them are really interested in games like CoD or GTA. The games they want to play the most are Skylanders, Mario Kart, and Disney Infinity (Which yes, I've got a crapton of those too). 4) I've sort of cemented myself as one of the leading experts of Skylanders, so there's a little bit of pressure to keep up to date with everything. If you go on True Achievements, you'll find that I'm one of the first people to complete every game and most of the guides for Giants and Swap Force are mine. Heck, I even get random messages from people asking Skylanders questions. 5) A minor one here, but it helps with my job. I run the electronics department of a retail store and we sell Skylanders. A large amount of people have no idea what the game's even about or how it works and are grateful that someone can explain it to them. The adults also like it when I can help them decide what Skylander to pick up as a gift. The kids tend to be blown away when someone actually knows what they're taking about and can answer questions about each character's powers and such. 6) Despite being a generally fiscally responsible adult, I have spent my money in far worse ways and on far stupider things before. That's why I own a set of presidential Pez dispensers. One funny thing about my collection is that it's far from complete. I tend not to get Lightcore or Series 2/3 skylanders. If I did, that'd almost be another grand right there. And that's not factoring in those stupidly rare chase variants that go for $150-300 apiece. UT Austin
That is tough to say as I don't remember before the 360, but on the 360 I would say at least $3000 on everything combined. I have 3 consoles, a lot of controllers, and at least 100 games.
PiixL
A solid 5,000 - 6,000 Euros.. Maybe more I'm not to sure. I already spent 500+ On the Xbox One so far, but I im only counting 5-6k of my own money.
The Elite Elite
I really am not sure. Between receiving a lot of games and consoles as gifts, and not remembering what I spent on some of the older PC games way back, I can only give an estimate of maybe around a couple thousand dollars. Tom115
Really have no idea. Upwards of £5,000, at least. Quite sickening, really.
xRaW CaRNage x
Wow been gaming since the 90's and have owned basically every console since ps1. And some older consoles before my time. I have a ton of ps2 games and xbox. I would estimate in the 8-10k $ range. Maybe more or less. Not sure.

PS3: $300 Games (60@ $60.00): $3600 PS Vita (x2): $600 Games (6 @ $30.00): $180 PC: $2500 Games (according to Steam gauge): $1691.07 + $360 (Origin) + $1140 (MMOs) PS4 (With camera): $460 Games (7@ $60/00): $420 Xbox One: $500 Games (2@ $60.00 + 1) $135 Total: $17,286.07 ...Well then. *EDIT* Totally forgot stuff! Wii (x2): $500 Games: $500? PC Peripherals: $1650 Console accessories: $1000? New total! $20,936.07 A lot of money, but over the time period, it's really not that much when you think about it. It's a lot of money but over the period of time, I kinda know what you mean. For me, even if it's over a period of time, it's still way too much money. Kairi
I have been gaming for a vast majority of my life, so I know the amount is...a lot. XD I'm not sure if it would be countable since I do not remember the prices of half of the things I bought, but I most likely spent over $5,000 if not more. PerpetualDeath
You only buy new? Brutal. Yup. I pretty much just get games on the day or week of release, unless i was late in getting the system. I think that the only used games i got last generation were Disgaea 3 and some Dragon Ball Z game.
