E11I077H
How do i get a decent smithing level, throughout my whole game, i never really stuck to smithing and i am now only level 30, and i want the Daedric Armour. Is there a good method for smithing, that is fast or profitable Thanks in Advance
GeneralCurry726
The mostly widely used method is probably crafting iron daggers since the ingredients are readily available. If you want, enchant them after you make them to raise that level, and then sell them to make money.
Apple2Forever
If you have Hearthfire, you can level up fairly quickly grinding out hinges.
t3rm3y
didnt think the daggers worked anymore? better to do gold ingots and make jewelry, the more expensive the item the higher up you level / more xp you earn.. regarding the hinges - how quick do they level you compared to the old way with daggers? ICT Venom
If you have dwarven smithing, just make dwarven bows. You can make alot of ingots from just picking up the scrap dwarven material in dwarven ruins. If I remember right, you can get close to 100 ingots per ruin. I find this method works much faster than the old iron dagger method since the patch that changed how it levels.
Nitnoid
You could always clear your cache and reload the game. When it asks for you to update, decline and play offline until you get your smithing up.
ChickinOnaChain
I did quite a few daggers at first and it helps but the Oghma Infinium book glitch was my choice in the end. Saves a lot of time.

You either read a post I made about my first save glitching and me doing the book gimmick or you have ESP. And yeah, I still love the game. Slaughter.
Go to Whiterun and buy leather materials from the blacksmith. Then go over to the forge and craft leather gauntlets until you run out. When you run out, wait 48 hours (Skyrim time) for her supplies to restock. By making these, your smithing skill should go up very fast.
