Delboy06eu
Going mad for ninja and shogun films at the moment. I've already seen Shogun assassin, ninja assassin, azumi but you guys know any other cool cult films? Please and thanks
tehapoc
So you've seen all the 'Lone Wolf and Cub' movies or just 'Shogun Assassin'? Some notable films: Yojimbo, The Hidden Fortress, Sanjuro, Harakiri, Throne of Blood, and The Seven Samurai. Delboy06eu
I saw a trailer for this movie called The warriors way. From producers of LOTR i think. It had the Real Stylish visuals, but wont be out on blu ray till March. You heard of it? Mixed reviews on IMDB
HoraceVanBasten
Technically not shinobi/shogun but check out Seven Swords by Tsui Hark and Zatoichi by Takeshi Kitano.
Ebonix
I'll be honest. If you go into any Cash Converter or whatever the other shop is, you'll generally find some in their for quite cheap. I bought a film called Shoalin Killers which isn't great but its got some decent swordplay in it. Also if you can find the Lady Snowblood movies too, I got both off eBay for £12 a few years ago which is cheap considering how rare they are. They were also one of the many films that had an influence on the Kill Bill films.
SUBJECT BK201
Shinobi: Heart Under Blade (based off an anime series called Basilisk) Kamui: The Lone Ninja 14 Blades (epic!) If you watch only one of those three make sure its 14 Blades, Donnie Yen and Wei Zhao make a weirdly nice pairing on screen, even though i think Chingamy Yau would have been better instead of Wei.
