Chimera tips?

Maybe someone can help me out: the quest I'm on requires me to escort a merchant to an outpost, which I can see just off in the distance, but the only path there that bypasses a swamp full of harpies is blocked by a chimera with even more health than the one you fight in the prologue. I've been able to get this thing down to half of it's last health bar, but at that point it just won't take any more damage from my attacks. Being a warrior I can't block it's attacks and even when I jump on its head and hit it in the face a few times before it roars and knocks me off it doesn't seem to be doing any damage. What do I need to do to kill this thing once I've got it down to just the lion (goat and snake heads are dead)?

What level are you? try to level up a bit more by killing simple enemies like wolves, goblins and small groups of bandits or you could try changing one of your pawns to be a mage/sorcerer with healing and heavy fire magic. Once you have killed the snake and goat like you said then the only thing to do is attack the main body by either jumping on it or letting the pawns do the hard work, I've killed around 4 or 5 of these altogether and hardly got hit because I was a strider then ranger using bows far away but because you are a warrior you have to be up close which requires lots of hp and high defense.

if your a fighter/warrior i must take the snakehead tail off first then work on the goat head and then when its just the lion attack its head for the most damage. also i noticed that levin or high levin used by a mage (its a lightning attack) can stun it and make it roll over. yeah the ranger attack works as well. you should also try to climb on it as much as you can if your a fighter/warrior.
