How can I connect my XBox to XBox Live through my laptop? Is this possible? I connect my laptop to the internet through the wireless network signals it picks up on and I tried connecting the Xbox ethernet cable directly to the laptop and then trying to log onto xbox live but it cannot establish the connection, when I open the network discovery (Vista) I'm able to see my computer connected to the network and connected to the internet but the Xbox only has limited connectivity and won't connect to the same network I'm on it says

"Unknown network". Help?

To 'bridge' your internet to your xbox on vista follow the step below:

-Connect an ethernet cable from your laptop to the xbox

-Right click the little computer(s) at the bottom right of the desktop next door to the time

-Select 'Network and Sharing center'

-On this window click 'Manage network connection' found along the left hand side

-Right click on your wireles connection > properties

-'Sharing' tab

-Check the box for 'Allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection'

-Click 'ok'

Now turn on your xbox and ty connecting to xbl and it should work, atleast, this is exacally what i did.

If this doesn't work trying setting your to 'private', on the 'Network and Sharing center'.

-Click customize next to your network

-Check 'Private' then click 'Next' then 'Finished' then try again.

Hope anything i said was useful. Lemme know if it works.
