hmp bogeet
The lead designer on Prey 2 for some odd reason thought it would be a good idea to take out the 2 staple gameplay features of Prey, the portals and the crazy gravity. I for one loved those features and really can't wrap my mind around why they would get rid of them. It made Prey...Prey and not just another shooter so I personally feel this was a horrible decision and have lost interest in this sequel unless they pull something out that amazes me before release. http://www.shacknews.com/article/67989/report-prey-2-ditches-portals
F Swan
I agree, after playing through the first one at the moment, I find without those 2 features it will reduce Prey 2 to a typical generic space fps ... boring.
Drewdude1023
Actually, I can kind of see the point of taking these away. In the original game, the reason that there were portals and gravity was because that was how the ship worked. In this game, you're on a distant alien planet and it is open world. softerxsin495
I would've liked to seen these features kept as well - even if they did not want to do it for the entire game, perhaps for part of it, here and there. I agree that it definately brought a new perspective to shooters. I am not a huge fan of shooter games, I am more of an RPG and MMO kinda gal, but I really did enjoy the game, and I thought all of the portals and gravitational features were interesting and rather unique. I am interested to see how Prey2 goes, however, looking forward to it.
