Brambledamble
Quick question: Do I need to collect 40 flags or survive 40 rounds (that would be 80 flags, as I'm getting 2 flags per round)? I'm at 42 flags ATM and still no achievement
Woozle
40 rounds. I can only get to
Brambledamble
No, it's 40 flags actually. Got the achievement when I died at about 65 flags. Number 15 in the leaderboards now Used this setup: http://s1.hubimg.com/u/1428272_f520.jpg P.S.: Zamboni zombies suck. Whenever I loose at Survival Endless it's usually due to Jack-in-the-box zombies.
bbrandy
Can you get the achievement on co-op? I got to 40, and didn't get it???

Those would really help I think.
brenttiscool15
So I have to beat all the survivals just to unlock survival endless? And then earn 40 flags on that for the achievement?
ShortyTHEone
So I have to beat all the survivals just to unlock survival endless? And then earn 40 flags on that for the achievement? yup, thats right. Day night garden fog roof day hard night hard garden hard fog hard roof hard and then you finaly unlock the endless mode. i gues Brambledamble found the same site i did, i tried it with Cob cannons and died around flag 38, then i tried without cob cannons like he did and finished with flag 45 only cuz i got bored, i guess i would have survived much longer. i used this one, cuz i guess its better against the bungie zombies. i also used ice mushrooms like he did and sometimes, cherry bombs, chilli and squash http://s2.hubimg.com/u/1455997_f520.jpg

This is so awesomely effective that I am done with my achievement I haven't planted or used anything new since I completed level 40 and I can't die!!! I am at flag 47 and still going strong. I have walked away from my tv and I think I might fall asleep with this damn thing still on lol edit: I was curious to see how long this would hold up. But I just ended up deleting my plants. It seems as though that would be a better setup because the the zombies would actually stop on the rocks. And they could better help against Zombonis and Catapults. Komrade Vasilevsky
May I ask why the Spikerocks are in front of the Cob Cannons instead of near the trees where the Zombies come out? It seems as though that would be a better setup because the the zombies would actually stop on the rocks. And they could better help against Zombonis and Catapults. I tried doing as you suggested. The Spikerock is effective against everything, and the only thing damaging it is the Gargs who need to hit it several times to destroy it. This seems to be very beneficial to the set-up. However... A) By the 25-30th flags, there's so many Gargs coming at you they very quickly destroy the Spikerocks when you're not looking. They are very expensive to replace, and they're taking up slots that could go to things like replacing bungie zombie losses or explosive plants. B) Those Spikerocks that I placed in front of the cob cannons never saw a Garg (you're cob cannons should be taking care of them long before they reach that point), but were still very beneficial against the odd jack-in-the-box, football player, or back-up dancer that made it three squares into the field. So, if you find you've got the spare sunlight and the attention for them it might be worth putting them right up next to the screen, especially on levels with zombonies or the catapults. But if you're strapped for sun, save it for something more effective.
asdf123
http://home.halden.net/bubba/5.jpg used this setup, almost a ripoff of one of the above ones but it worked much better imo dont really need the spikes but did it just to be safe start out with double sunflowers where the cannons are, build two when you have everything else set up and the other two asap, after that keep fixing the pumpkins when needed and 40 flags is easy Edited September 24, 2010 by asdf123
Komrade Vasilevsky
The umbrella plant covers a 3x3 territory, so I'm not sure why everyone posting pics of their setup has them on the edges where you're losing 1/3 of the umbrellas effectiveness. True Marvellous
I only made it to 26. I was never able to get a pumpkin over all my plants like in the picture. Use the imitator so you can have 2 pumpkins.
Tapion
Used the setup TornShaun posted, I made it up to 42. Somehow, maybe was careless or just irritated trying to get the damn achievement. But, some of the zombies got through, only had 3 cob cannons left, and got through a few waves like that. F this achievement.
MissPatatie
thanks so much for everyone's tips, couldn't have done it otherwise. of course, didn't realize how helpful the cattails and gloom shrooms were until I tried it this way
Black Barney
do you have to wake up iceshrooms or once the zombie eats the sleeping one, it explodes?
