Propaganda Tag List Locations

Guide Written By IDiivil & Auburok

=---=

Introduction

Before I go into the details, please read the following:

THIS GUIDE IS FOR THE PROPAGANDA TAGS ONLY AND DOES NOT CONTAIN THE BUSINESS CARDS ALSO NECESSARY TO GET A 100% FOR THIS GAME. FOR BUSINESS CARD LOCATIONS, PLEASE REFER TO THE VIDEO GUIDE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS WRITTEN GUIDE.

Now, on to the non caps'd warning!

Syndicate's collectibles achievement, while difficult, is designed in such a manner to be far from impossible. Here's a few reasons why:

1. Syndicate has a chapter replay feature that allows you to pick difficulty, so you can always go back to specific chapters on easy and just pick up the collectibles you may have missed.

2. Once you pick up the collectibles you need, you are not obligated to finish the mission for it to be counted. In other words, you can pick up your collectible and drop back out to the main menu and rest assured that it's counted towards the achievement.

3. Not sure where you might have missed a collectible? In your chapter select menu, each chapter will show counters for your business cards/propaganda tags, so if you weren't sure where you missed what, the menu will be sure to help guide you to what you need.

So what are propaganda tags? They generally tend to be random marks throughout the world (and this guide will let you know exactly what you are searching for/what these marks look like). As you come across your propaganda tags, you overlay them with your dart chip, and a hidden message appears. These messages are filed into your Infobank, then, and enlighten you a little more about the world of Syndicate should you choose to read them.

There isn't too much to note otherwise! Please note, though, before you begin reading this guide that there are some potential spoilers. Auburok and I tried our best to keep things vague in that regard, but if you want to play it safe, just don't read too far ahead.

Good luck.

=---=

Chapter 1:

Tip: Find the yellow poster with the man on it and a phrase beneath said man. These posters are your recurring theme for this chapter for your propaganda tags.

1. TWB: Future

Found at the beginning after you charge through the door at the start of the game. Same room as a hobo. The game should prompt you to use your overlay to find it. The poster is on a billboard slightly to the left of the hobo.

2. TWB: Control

After your first ambush when you first get your assault rifle, you should go down a hallway. Keep an eye out for a poster. You should find it before you hit your next open room area.

3. TWB: Surveillance

Right before you finish up the level, you encounter an area that is basically like an apartment/hotel complex. Before you go up the stairs, make sure you check the bottom level of this area for a poster.

Chapter 2:

Tip: Focus on the symbol that looks kind of like an A. They mark all the hidden propaganda for this chapter.

1. Aspari: Sparrow/Hawk

When you first begin the level, go towards the back of the helipad or whatever that huge thing is and look at the red board to the left of the doors. Hidden Chinese text is written on here.

2. Aspari: Failing to Plan

Found after you get the Gauss gun. Break the door with the cryogenic freezing, and once you get into the hallway with all the bad guys to kill, go down the stairs and to the right into the big open room. Look to the right of the room at the Chinese language with your overlay. Bam. Done.

3. Aspari: Work Harder

Literally right after you find #2, go to the back of the room to a double glass door. Look through it and overlay at the symbol beyond that looks kind of like an A. Bingo.

Chapter 3

Tip: Focus on the symbol that looks kind of like an A. They mark all the hidden propaganda for this chapter.

1. Aspari: No Life

This is literally right when you begin the level. When you do your very first tutorial based sprint/jump move, look behind you at the A symbol drawn on the wall. This should be to the right of the platform from where you started. You can also find this again after you override your first elevator, walk through it, and look slightly up after you pass the elevator.

2. Aspari: Sticks Out

When you enter the room with the crashed ship, go straight across to some double glass doors. Look through it with your overlay. The glass doors are straight behind the two guards you have to kill.

3. Aspari: Clear Conscience

Right after you get #2, go down the stairs. There are several guards. At the red sculpture, turn left, and past two glass double doors that you look through is a golden Aspari symbol. Overlay it. Done.

Chapter 4

Tip: Focus on the symbol that looks kind of like an A. They mark all the hidden propaganda for this chapter.

1. Aspari: Mistake

Right after you go through the toll booth/security booth, you'll be confronted by two security guards. After you kill them, look to your right to the wall. Overlay the Aspari symbol.

2. Aspari: Upgrade Today

Go through the door labeled "Safety Deposit Boxes." Right after you go through the door, turn around and look above. Overlay and done.

3. Aspari: Money Speaks

At the bottom of the stairs in the middle area where you're holding off an onslaught of men while waiting for the train to arrive. The glass doors are shut that lead to the bottom of the stairs but that doesn't prevent you from looking at the A on the wall.

Chapter 5

Tip: Focus on the symbol that looks kind of like an A. They mark all the hidden propaganda for this chapter.

1. Aspari: Mirror

When you get off the train and finish killing the guys, look straight back. There, on the right on the wall, near a set of stairs, is your single propaganda tag.

Chapter 6

Tip: Your recurring theme is now the Eurocorp logo. It's a grey/goldish coloration symbol.

1. EC: Belong

While you're going up on the elevator, face the building behind you and look for the Eurocorp symbol and use Overlay. You must do this before the elevator stops moving and the doors open, because at this point, your overlay goes into standby mode.

Chapter 7

Tip: Your recurring theme is the Eurocorp logo. It's a grey/goldish coloration symbol.

1. EC: Remember

Right when you go down the stairs after you see the spraypaint tag of the agent, you go past the door on the left and continue to the door on the right. Go forward, and you'll see a Eurocorp logo. Overlay it.

2. EC: Good Consumer

Once you open the shutter doors, go down one flight of stairs. You'll see a pipe to your left. Climb up the pipe. If you follow the walkway, there will be a Eurocorp tag above.

3. EC: Report

Right before the end of the level before you find two security guards, there will be a logo on the left wall above eye height.

Chapter 8

Tip: Your recurring theme is the Eurocorp logo. It's a grey/goldish coloration symbol.

1. EC: Stay Calm

Keep an eye out when you enter the room with a small bar counter. After you eliminate the enemies in there, look at the left side of the room near the windows. There will be a Eurocorp logo.

2. EC: Upgrade Now

After the breach-able elevator, go up the stairs and to the right. Head through the door you see, which will reveal an opening with yellow/blue signs and a view of a civilian being killed. Look behind you and above, and you will see the logo.

3. EC: Obey

After you acquire the minigun and head to the next room, you'll see two monitors to the left. One will have a Eurocorp signal, and the other will have a hacked Eurocorp signal. Overlay the hacked one.

Chapter 9

Tip: Your new symbol to look for is the Cayman-Global symbol. It's reminiscent to a C.

1. CG: Improve

While you're flying on the ship, just as you start to turn right, there will be a Cayman-Global logo on a corner edge of a building.

2. CG: Strength

When you enter the building, look to your right. Next to the table there is a Cayman-Global sign on a video monitor. Overlay.

3. CG: Victory

When you get to the hologram, walk in front of her and look up and to the left. It's on a glass side of a terminal.

4. CG: Domination

Continue breaching the hologram over and over and over until you can no longer. This will reveal your last Cayman-Global logo. Just overlay where the lady was previously floating all holo-y at.

Chapter 10

Tip: Cayman-Global logos are what you are looking for.

1. CG: Depend

In the large courtyard area, there will be a whole bunch of enemy troops. Near a flag, there will be a Cayman-Global logo on the wall on the second floor. It'll be right above the door you need to go through once you've cleared the area, so make sure to snag it with an overlay before you move on.

2. CG: Superior

After the drone section, go down a flight of yellow stairs and look back up the way you came. You should be looking at the wall at a Cayman-Global tag.

3. CG: Power

After lowering the landing pad bridge, make your way across. When you take a turn towards the left passed a breach-able door and go around the bend, look to your right at the building. You'll see a Cayman-Global logo.

Chapter 11

Tip: More Cayman-Global logos.

1. CG: Profit

Turn right towards the dead end at the very beginning of the level and look through the windows towards the base of the building. The logo is huge, so you probably won't miss it.

2. CG: Conform

When you drop down through the vent and land on the catwalk, you'll see you are above a very large hangar. Look above you next to the Maintenance Bay sign. You'll see the Cayman-Global logo to overlay.

Chapter 12

Tip: There are multiple things to watch out for in this chapter, so it may be wise to just read ahead and get an idea of what you need to look for. Basically, you'll be overlaying posters, text written on walls, and some corporate symbols.

1. TWB: Unterdrunking(? Needs translated)

After Lily opens the door for you, step into the room and take a left through a door. Go through it, take a right, then look right. Overlay the poster. If you break through the grate or whatever, you've gone the wrong way/too far.

2. TWB: Data Vessel

When you hear Lily say, "You should be able to make your way up to the floor above," look around you. You should see two metal shelving units. Walk in between them so you go behind the left shelving unit. Overlay the poster.

3. Verse 9:11

You will lose Lily Drawl's chip signal. Soon after, you should be heading down a flight of stairs. Keep moving forward, then overlay the text by the hobos warming their hands near a trash fire.

4. Verse 27:8

You should soon enter a bit of a tunnel-like pathway... you'll know you're in there when you hear a guy ranting about jabs and a Jackey. Find the ranting man by navigating the hallways, then look to the left after you locate him (there is also a business card here to help you identify your location). There is some text in the wall that you can overlay.

5. TWB: Prey

You'll clear the corridors into the outside. After you pass some sexy hologram strippers, look down the proceeding pathway (don't actually move). To the right is a poster stuck to a building. If you can't find it, try to find a hobo trash fire as you pass the strippers... poster is visible from where you can spot the hobo trash fire. Anyways, overlay the poster.

6. TWB: Fight Today

Look to your left now, and you should see a Bar, an Open sign, and a hobo chilling out. On the door is a poster. Overlay it.

7. TWB: We Own

Once you get to Rich Jayden's Buy and Trade, turn left. There will be a bum next to a trash fire and a poster near him. Overlay the poster.

8. Verse 9:45

Once you enter Rich Jayden's, immediately turn left and overlay the text written on the wall.

9. EC: Love

When you enter the area with a Eurocorp sign and a wanted sign of an African American man, stop immediately and look left. You should see a faded Eurocorp sign near some old wall mounted mailboxes and a Prohibited Zone sign.

10. TWB: Corporate Power

Immediately after finding #9, head up the stairs and enter the door. You should be confronted with more wanted signs. Ignore them and just turn left. Walk straight and past the Eurocorp sign so that you are behind it, then look to your right. You'll find a poster. Overlay it.

Chapter 13

Tip: Posters and an EC logo.

1. TWB: Help

After you force your way through your first door at the beginning of the level, go up the stairs and look right. Poster!

2. TWB: Destroy

After you crawl through the elevator you were riding up on and kill the single guy, go straight and to the right to a room. You'll be ambushed by two more people on the way there. Once you are in, you will come across a machine where there is a prompt to hit X. Look to the right of the machine and overlay the poster.

3. EC: Vertraue(? needs translated)

Once you reach sublevel seven (this is easy to tell since Lily Drawl will be mentioned by the lady voice), clear out the enemies. Then, look at the elevator. Turn 180 degrees around, now, so you are facing behind yourself. Look up at the Eurocorp symbol on the wall and overlay.

Chapter 14

1. TWB: Know Everything

As soon as you drop down after a chip extraction at the beginning of the level, the female voice in your head should mention something about an uplink connection being established. Don't move. Look around you to find a poster. Overlay.

2. TWB: Fatal Thinking

After you enter a dark, blueish tinted room with pipes, lots of metal grates, and an old hotel style elevator (marked elevator), pause and look around. To note, there's a hard to find business card if you jump the fence to your left and go up the pipes. For the propaganda tag, though, go down the stairs and straight across. You should see some text, and to the left of the text, a poster. Overlay it.

3. TWB: No Tomorrow

Right after you get #2, just look to the left of THAT poster, and you'll find another to overlay. Yay, two in a row!

4. TWB: For Profit

After you go through the EMP minefield and through the door, continue on until you battle a guy with a flamethrower. Now, you should be on the lower area of the room, and if you are, just look along the walls to find a poster. Directionally from the door, it is right, forward, left, and then the poster is on the wall to the left. Alternatively, you can fall down the opening between the fences and look behind you at the wall.

5. EC: No Doubt

Continue on as per normal. Shortly after #4, you should come across big opening doors that lead to an open area with combat. Don't go through. Instead, look to your right and overlay through the grates/door, and you'll get this tag.

6. TWB: Mind

After your combat through those double doors I mentioned, you should have noticed an overlay to a fuel thing. To the left of the overlay of the fuel are some more doors. Go through it (there is also a business card in this room), take a left, go down the corridor, and overlay the poster on the wall to your left.

7. TWB: Exploit

After another big battle, you should go through a door into a corridor and see some pipes to your right. Follow it forward, but rather than going through the grate with X, take a left and follow the corridor until the end. Overlay the poster.

Chapter 15

1. TWB: History

As soon as you kick the grate and drop down at the beginning of the level, you can look behind yourself and overlay the poster there.

2. TWB: Soul

Midway through the turret room, when you power it to your own side, check the small room you have ran into and look for the poster near the couches.

3. TWB: Corpse

A computer with green text on the screen should alert you that you are near your next tag. Look to the right of that computer screen and go through the door you see after you overlay the computer. Follow the path all the way back, straight, then look right when you can go no further. Poster.

4. TWB: For Freedom

180 from where you are viewing #3 and walk straight back. Keep an eye on the wall to the right for a poster. Overlay it.

5. TWB: Hack

After you kill the agent and go up the elevator, go through the door and look to your right... you should see some dark writing on the wall (it's very big, so if you can't find it, you might have to go one room ahead), and beside it to the right is a poster.

Chapter 16

1. EC: Need

As you're following Lily immediately after the vitruvian to exit the area you woke up in, look past her at the EC logo as you're heading out. Overlay it.

Chapter 17

1. EC: Desire

Once Lily breaches through the doors, head straight, then to the right. Once you get to a circular bar-like counter, look above it and Overlay the Eurocorp symbol.

Chapter 18

1. EC: Orders

After you reach the outdoor roof area and clear out your first big batch of enemies, you'll come across a large bridge crossing the gap between two buildings. Cross the bridge, but stop halfway and look back and down at the building you came from. Overlay the symbol.

Chapter 19

1. EC: We Know

This is after you go through all the outside stuff... you'll eventually get into an indoor area. Start paying attention when you see the "90" sign indoors and a big shiny earth. Go straight to the back as you enter the next room and scan the Eurocorp logo on the wall.

2. EC: Correction

You'll encounter a couple of long corridors with some enemies. When you finally hit the end and go up some stairs, start paying attention. As you finish heading up the stairs, a Eurocorp logo will be directly in front of you. Overlay it.

Chapter 20

1. EC: Miles Kilo

Scan the door before you go through it at the very beginning of the level.

Video Walkthrough

If you are having trouble finding these propaganda tags from description alone, this video was shared to us by Predni. Check it out! As a bonus, the business card walkthrough is also included in this video, so if you missed them during a general playthrough, you can check out where you may find them here:

... the quick chapter switches are really throwing us off, so please let us know if you see errors. We keep not realizing when we're on a new milestone, haha.

Also, if you see an error in the names... you only get a split second to check the name, and with all the other info we're putting down, it sometimes gets lost on us. We'd appreciate a correction on that also :)

Aspari: Money Speaks

The 3rd one in Chapter 4 is at the bottom of the stairs in the middle area where you're holding off an onslaught of men while waiting for the train to arrive. The glass doors are shut that lead to the bottom of the stairs but that doesn't prevent you from looking at the A on the wall.

Well at least you tried, and a good effort is always appreciated! However, I still do look forward to the finished written guide, those are easier to print out than a video; also, since I don't enjoy going back and forth to the computer for every location =).

The 1st and 3rd tag names for Chapter 1 in the guide are reversed. The 1st should be "Future" and the 3rd should be "Surveillance". The names are reversed, but not the locations.

Just a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up! I always derp out on the names since it's not easy to go back and check 'em :)

You're so sweet! I'll go back and finish it, no worries. Will still keep chuggin' away.

--------------------------

Everything up until Chapter 12 so far has been confirmed, so feel free to trust what's up there currently. Shouldn't be much longer till the written guide is done.

Maybe you could bold and color stuff to make it stand out and easy to read, example below:

Is it possible for me to just color code the chapter names only? I'm always really, really cautious in color coding since there are so many people I know that are colorblind, and color coding just makes things harder for them to see :S

Any way you would like is fine, I just suggested it because I find it easier to scroll through. Size of font helps too if you think that would be better. Let me know if you need more room!

Thanks! I gave it a nudge with red/larger font for chapter titles. Is that better? I don't mind going through with more breaks or whatever to make it easier to read if necessary.

Looks good as it is. Good job getting it done so fast, it will help a lot of people when they get the game.

Also in your title picture at top, it shows your name with a missing "i".
