DannyAwesome
I had my xbox upright and while I was playing kinect my cat nuzzled it and it fell over and made a funny noise then the screen said the disk was unreadable. I took it out and there is one circular scratch going around the CD like a ring. Any way to get this out? Lol next time I think I am going to keep my 360 flat. Neverender
You can try, but circular scratches are generally less repairable than linear ones. The best thing to try is furniture polish. Spray it on the shiny side, let it soak 10-15 minutes, rinse it and dry it with a soft cloth, and try again. If that doesn't work, you're just out of luck... Method
If your disc looks like the one below then you're more than likely SOL. starfreak586
If you can get another copy of the disc from a friend, you may be able to save the game to the hard drive and then run the game with your scratched disc
RichXbox360
At the risk of getting flamed, I find the best way to repair scratched discs, is not to let them get scratched in the first place, keep them in their boxes. Also, don't let the cat near your Xbox, lol.
mini696
I did this to one of my sisters discs. I was lucky she had a disc repair/cleaning station, the cleaning did nothing. The repair (polishing) worked after a couple of tries. Failing that the ones a DVD hire shop use are great and would work on all but the worst scratches, maybe ask them to help you out. My local games store offers a lifetime scratch insurance for $5 each time I buy a new game, you didn't happen to have that did you? I never buy it but probably should

Hoy1989
Try not to leave it standing up, that will get ride of that problem. You could also get rid of the cat, it is its fault anyway, right?

uundercover pir8
Some shops have disc cleaning machines. I believe these work by taking a light layer off the disc, without harming any of the data

IDiivil
A lot of video stores have a machine that cleans discs up. I go there a lot since my friend works there and he does it for free for me.

Most deep scratches are laser burns where the console has been knocked and the laser which reads the data has come into close contact with the disc and burned it. RwHu
Ive heard 2 ways that work. Furniture polish is one of the best ways but Ive heard that Toothpaste works good too. The toothpaste works because of the little grit in the paste makes it good. Not sure though, I keep mine in pretty good condition.

bukimichan
My Fable II disk got murdered like that. We took it to Game Traders and they buffed it but it still doesn't work. The scratches were just too deep. I'm just going to have to buy another copy.
Delboy
It cost £2 in Gamestation for me last time.....Also if you regulary get scratches on your XBox like I do, you should invest in a DVD lens cleaning tool, I bought one just for.....£1. !
