This is my first attempt at a proper achievement guide to XBA - I have made many threads and posts over the years, but time to give this a go :)

Overview:

- Estimated achievement difficulty:7/10

- Offline: 24 [1000:gsicon:]

- Online: 0[:gsicon:]

- Approximate amount of time to 1000:gsicon::3-10 hours - Depending on skill (Healthy Zone Achievement)

- Minimum number of playthroughs needed:1 full of ALL 20 levels - Replays of certain levels to not lose health

- Missable achievements: None

- Does difficulty affect achievements:YES - Cannot be on CASUAL MODE

- Unobtainable/glitched achievements: None

- Extra equipment needed: Patience and maybe a spare controller :(

Introduction:

Welcome to Magnets : Fully Charged - This is an arena combat collect em up game by an ID@XBOX developer Total Monkery. It features 20 levels across 4 zones,on the 5th level of a zone are a type of boss level.

The enemies in the game are called Bloxbots, Polarity cities maintenance bots. Unfortunately have gone mad and the whole of Polarity city is in crisis.

We play as Ranger, the worker in charge of these bots. A robot himself, he must use his magnet to cast a net over these said Bloxbots to destroy them, and place the scrap into the recycler. With each passing level we get one step closer to finding out just why this is happening!

Abbreviated Walkthrough:

Play through the 20 levels and you will earn almost all of the 24 achievements that are currently available. Challenge mode did not at the time of writing unlock the Healthy Zone, or Healthy Level achievements - So this must be attempted in story mode.

The downside to this: There is no way of knowing if you have been hit at the final screen in story mode. Whereas challenge mode has a star spefically for "Lose No Health" - Therefore you need to be 100% you have not lost health before marking that level off your list of done.

There are several ways to know if you have been hit.

1.Your character will go transparent and flash slightly

2.Most of the time a sound effect will play when hit too.

3.If you are carrying scrap, then get hit, you will drop the scrap to the floor.

Multiplayer:

There is a multiplayer mode, but isn't available until after release and does not have achievements tied to it at present.

Mop-Up:

More than likely you will need a few more scrap to earn the "King Of Recycling" achievement and more than likely "Healthy Zone" - This is where we are going to have to perfect a zone and not get hit, luckily you don't need to do them in one run. If you get hit, back out the the menu and start again.

The scrap total of 8000 may sound a lot, but should pop not long after finished the 20 levels and trying to do a zone without getting hit. If not, do a level you like and ie Z1 L1, max out your gauge (100 scrap) and put the lot into the recycler. On level 1 you can do this 2 times to get the fuses, before placing the 2nd fuse, max out your scrap gauge again, place the fuse and finish the level.

I will be putting to the developer a few possible changes. Currently the "START" (3 lines) button on the Xbox One it sends you to the main menu, and there is no quick restart that I could find if you fail and just want to retry.

Conclusion:

MagNets : Fully Charged is a fun title from an indie developer based in the UK - The 1000gs should not take too long, and apart from the not getting hit in a zone it is pretty straight forward.

As you progress through the zones, the difficulty does increase a little bit, but with a bit of perseverance you should be fine and with most achievements being earned within a few hours. If you just want some quick gamerscore without the completion "then fill your boots" - I will have videos below showing how to complete the first zone without getting hit. May prove useful, and I have came up with a strategy for the Zone 1 Level 5 Boss too, hopefully it will help you out.

Here is a "What is" video I have made which should tell you a bit about the game, developer, and have a look at some gameplay and my thoughts.

Try recycling some scrap

After using our MagNet during the tutorial you will be told to take the scrap from the recently dismantled Bloxbot the the recycler. Each scrap chip is worth 5 scrap.

Finish that tutorial

On beginning the game and heading to the single player menu, begina new game, after a short dialogue, you will be asked if you want to play the tutorial. It is very straight forward and just gives you some clue on the way the game works and what they want you to do.

Beat the first zone

The first Zone is called : Park. Play through this zone, not worrying too much about not taking damage, just focus on destroying Bloxbots and recycling them, get the fuse/switch and finish the levels.

The hardest level is "Party" but if you need extra health, add 10 extra scrap into the recycling machines' target score to get a health pickup as well as the carrot. This extra scrap can be used on any level.

The destroy the boss in this zone we need to destroy the Bloxbots, collect the scrap, feed the machine to get a carrot. Take the carrot to a vegetable patch and wait for the rabbit to land, then hit him quick with 3 small MagNets and he jumps away, repeat this 3 times, but the last carrot; and if getting 3 hits in previous turns, will only need 2 hits.

During this level you can also earn the That bunny needs cleaning up

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113299-lo.jpg Rank 2 50:gsicon:

Complete the second zone

This zone is called Museum - Make your way through these levels, again, in the final level we take on another boss. This is just known as Menace. Destroy bots, take scrap to the machine on the left, get a ball, put the ball on the thrower, the menace dives in to the central circle of water and loses some health. Repeat.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113300-lo.jpg Rank 3 60:gsicon:

Complete the third zone

The third zone is called Factory, the final boss here is a cat. Destroy the Bloxbots and use the scrap on the machine. Once enough has been put in, a bottle of milk will appear at the machine. Take this to the bowl in the centre and wait for the cat to jump to it. Stay away from the bowl in the beginning as when the boss lands, it cracks the floor, and also damages you. Use your MagNet to damage said boss, and repeat until all its health has gone.

During this level you can also earn the The cat won't need all this wool. achievement. See that achievement for details.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113301-lo.jpg Rank 4 70:gsicon:

Complete the fourth zone

The fourth zone is called Tower. Use scrap to destroy the terminals on each platform. Then use the light on the final boss!!

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113302-lo.jpg Scrap Master 30:gsicon:

Why scrap one at a time?

5 bots scrapped in one go - Should happen naturally

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113303-lo.jpg Minor Scrap Master 30:gsicon:

Take out a group of minor bots.

You will more than likely unlock this without really going for it.

Minor bots are about a quarter of the size of a regular Bloxbot and are a greyish white colour, that seem to attack in larger numbers.

They are easily taken out with the MagNet in one hit. They appear in the later zones. I actually earned this towards the end of the game, during the Zone 4 mission "Labs" - If you do not unlock it there then n likely unlock this without trying to. If not, the final level of Zone 4 has plenty of them. Use a large net and try to get a few in there. Around 10 seems a good number.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113304-lo.jpg You Da Bomb 30:gsicon:

Take out the bombs.

According to my achievement list I earned this in Zone 2 - Bomb bots are a little different to the regular Bloxbots. When we are in the vicinity of Bomb Bots they count down from 3 and at 0 then explode.

Get 3 in your net and destroy them as you would any other Bloxbot.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113305-lo.jpg Bot Smorgasbord 30:gsicon:

Mix up that bot destruction.

In the final zones it can get a bit chaotic, but cast larger nets will obviously increase your chances of getting a variety of bots in your net.

There are

Regular Bloxbots

Bomb Bots

Minor Bots

Rocket Bots

Shielded BloxBots

How much scrap can I put in this thing?

This is for recycling 100 scrap in one go. This can easily be done on any level. Zone 1 Level 1 is probably the easiest, keep destroying bots and collecting the scrap until you max out the bar. Each scrap from a bot is worth 5 scrap. Once you have your 100, deposit it and the achievement will unlock.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113307-lo.jpg Going Green 40:gsicon:

Keep on scrapping.

This will unlock when you recycle a total of 1000 scrap. You could farm this if you wanted, but all of these scrap achievements will be just about finished by the time you complete story mode and more probable before you have perfected a zone for the "Healthy Zone" achievement.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113308-lo.jpg Eco Warrior 60:gsicon:

More scrap needed.

This is for recycling 2000 scrap.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113309-lo.jpg Grand Master Scrap 80:gsicon:

Feed me more scrap!

This is for recycling 4000 scrap.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113310-lo.jpg King of Recycling 100:gsicon:

All the scrap!

This is for recycling 8000 scrap.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113311-lo.jpg Max Recycler 50:gsicon:

Be generous to the recycletron

For this you need to pay 100 scrap for each gift.

Can be any level in story. Collect 100 scrap by destroying bots, spend all 100 in the machine at once. do this for each item you need from the machine and you are golden. Most of the earlier levels require 2-3 uses of the machine, so would be better suited to try for this then.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113312-lo.jpg Lots of Wool 50:gsicon:

The cat won't need all this wool.

During Zone 4 Level 5 called "Control Room" you encounter the cat boss. At the very start of the level I walked forward and stood directly below him. Due to our proximity to it, the cat begins to fire balls of wool from its eyes. After 10 seconds or so of firing the achievement unlocked.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113313-lo.jpg Beaucoup de Poop 50:gsicon:

That bunny needs cleaning up

During Zone 1 : Level 5 : Party you encounter the rabbit boss. When it stops bouncing it is about to attack. It attacks by firing its dropping at you whilst it spins also.

I have unfortunately accidently deleted the footage. But, when the achievement unlocked, I was ground pounding its poo in an attempt to try to figure out how to unlock it.

I have a feeling it could be the amount of balls on screen or a total number fired, or amount stomped etc. Not an exact guide, but what was happening when mine popped.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113314-lo.jpg Healthy Level 30:gsicon:

Perfect a level

The easiest level to get this on is Zone 1 : Level 1 - In essence the tutorial level. In oder to perfect a level, you cant get hit. Use your magnet and jump stomp together to get out of any tight spots. Video below - made by me.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113315-lo.jpg Healthy Zone 50:gsicon:

Perfect a zone

The easiest Zone is the first Zone called Park. Each zone is 5 levels, ending in a Boss fight of sorts.

Below is the videos made by my, with commentary explaining and showing how to do it. This is possibly the last achievement you will get, and advisable to leave until then so you have knowledge of the gameplay and mechanics a bit better.

Zone 1 : Park is recommended

Level 5 : Lose No Health Video. I will leave this as a video so you do not need to have another tab open, and I dare say most of you will want a little bit of guidance with this.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3383/113316-lo.jpg Used MagNet 20:gsicon:

Try using your MagNet

To use your MagNet you hold :1lt: or :1rt: then move your character out to make it bigger, or in to make it smaller. Once the MagNet reaches a certain size it will automatically activate.

Had a couple of days chill out , when I added this to my site and formatted differently I noticed a few typos, grammer etc.

http://www.ntagameguides.com/magnets-fully-charged/

I will update it later tonight.

I had a nightmare writing it here, I wrote it live in a sitting. Kept being logged out and losing it all , yuck.

I know now not to write it live to this site. Went over 10k words too, Hopefully next guide will be easier as I learnt a few lessons.
