KillTheft Gator
Personally i mute the annoying little kids and racist people. You assume that racists are people. Um, depends on my mood. Normally I'm up for talking smack.
Deadly Moves
I mute about 90% of everyone that talks. so i can only here my friends. Bcos most people that talk, talk trash and have squeaky, childish voices that really annoy me
Hanzo Zer0
well KillTheft Gator you would even be a liar if you said you havent encountered some type of racism over xbox live.from Halo 3 to COD-MW2.
Bags1987
mute those that insult & annoy - silence speaks a thousand words. Occasionally I come across a few like-minded gamers & can hold a civil conversation with - but come to think of it this rarely happens, shame. HansVonWarmuth
I mute shit talkers, people that constantly hum into their mic, and people that are just plain annoying. So I mute pretty much everyone except my friends that are on Xbox Live.
CLB Fight Club
Usually i'll talk some smack but its often completely useless if you come up against a clan of annoying children who just won't shut the fuck up.

phatmuther
I don't mute the trash talkers since some of the stuff they come out with is down right hilarious and doesn't bother me. Now people singing or screaming or humming or sounding like 5 years olds I mute, it just hurts the ears.
DRCL
When not playing with friends I don't use my headset and I mute everyone that talks. Um, depends on my mood. davhth4
I tend to mute people if they are being idiots and then after I mute them if I feel they diserve it then I go and report them also.
Freddie Bateman
I always just mute anyone apart from my friends, but back when I played CoD4 a lot one of the funnest parts was a good bit of banter/trash talking.

LilGurgi
I usually go into the matches giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. During the first match or so, if someone is being annoying I'll mute them. In general I don't say too much though, so I'm not involved in too many trash talk sessions. I'll give the needed compliments on play or info on where the enemy is, but not really into talking trash to people not on my friend list.
FateofVengeance
Some trash talk never hurt anyone. The only people I mute usually are the little kids and the annoying teenagers...
Eternal Rhage
I usually start off being quiet and giving everybody the benefit of the doubt. If I start hearing some loud mouthed kid carrying on, then I'll usually mute them. I have been known to shoot my mouth off in return a time or two, though. AgeOfOrton2009
i dont mute them , because i like the trash what they talk , it is sometimes hilarious Yeah. If the person has an annoying voice i tend to mute just because it agravats me, if they're playing music into the mic and if they're chatting shit and being immature. I sometimes fuel the fire and talk back just because some of the shit they come up with is hilarious and sometimes i just like to piss people off (Can't help it, i have a callus sense of humour). For example i was playing with a couple of mates and one of them said 'What the fuck, man is a dickhead'. Then after that some guy started saying to shut the fuck up and acting like he is a gangster, your no 50 Cent: which we found to be hilarious. We then proceeded to pretend we talked like we were Ghetto and he just came throwing back insults. Stuff like that is hilarious.

Lord Yamikage
I always give people chance. I'll have my mike off, but I'll have my headphone on. If the players are just having a conversation like "yeah man, I been playing this game for ......" or "I got this game few days ago" or anything, I'll listen. If something is interested me, I'll ask and join too. Usually don't make friend like this (seeing how majority of my friends is from the Xbox360A), but don't mind the conversation. [Not necessary in MW2, but Multiplayer overall] However, I immediately mule if possible if I start hearing gamers start trash talking and using profanity. Immaturity.... many people will fail to grow out of it.
joshDocc
Depends. If they're not talking smack to me, then i'll have a civil conversation with them, But if they talk smack i'll just mute them.
