If the redcoats would have taken over America during the revolutionary war, we would all be having british accents here in america, and they would a lot more land. There would also be no wars between america and the middle east in the 90's and now.

Another event would be

If the confederacy won the civil war, there would still be slavery. The outcome would be all the stuff black people invented, would never come.

KINGxSAINT - Hope I did this right :)

A point in time that could have been different? the whole christopher columbus coming to america would be a good one. If he had't come at the time that he did, another country could have come and claimed what is now known as america or the mexicans could have moved up pretty much eliminating the entire american civilization before it could start. think about that one.

22nd of Novemeber, JFK never was assassinated, he pulls the troops out of Vietnam early, is adored by the public and Richard Nixon never comes into power. All together it screws Oliver Stone's film career (JFK, Platoon and Nixon)

If during the cuban missile crisis they actually launched a missile at the United States, then the wold would be different. Cuba wouldn't really be there anymore and the US would probably be more aggressive towards threats. We would probably bomb many more countries and everyone would take the US seriously.

the event would be the battle of the bulge. If it had worked hitler may have been able to regather the german army and eventually win the war meaning either the mass extinction of jews, homosexuals and others the nazis killed during that time period(holocaust) would happen or all the allies russia, britain, and the USA wouldnt exist and we would be still living under a nazi regime wher people like us wouldnt have 360's or computers only hitler would

Turning moment: Civil war

What happened: The southern states created goverment that was accepted by european countries. Lincoln began war for reconstruction of the states but southern president contacted UnitedKingdom for help in exchange for part of east coast including Philadelphia after succes over enemy. Mean time polish january revolution decides to change tactic and forget about own country to go to United States with help to northern civil rifgts fighters hoping that after this fight next one will be in Europe for freedom of people in their partitioned homeland.

That was the begining of first wold war that broke almost sixty years before time. Fight was brutal and long for over ten years with use almost only of swords and sabres because ammunition was used too fast population of earth shorthened about 10%.

In the end thanks to british fleet and their great tactics south won.

What happened later : Geography of world was changed for ever United States existed no more and insted of them new country called Southern alliance was born. It was union of states then all were independend. Also in northern america britan created new lland called pometania and polish people that survived war decided to create their own forts and fight as the last resort of democracy.

What happened next:

-democracy was never really born and kings ruled world

after 30 years new war for supremacy over world began at that time many briliaant inventions were created but only one changed wining streak. Germen created new typ ofarmor suit that was indestructible but it was stolen from them byn unknown forces.

-That war brought up death and destruction for over 40% of mankind when world leaders decided it has to be stoped and one of them has to be the ultimate ruler princeps- first after God.The decided that best way to pick someone will be combat.

-Winner was ruler of small country called Abisynia who was the owner of previously stolen armor.

-Remaining people were separated into two groups and sended to different continents without possibility to ever meet because all machines were in new goverment possesion.

now new rebelion is coming but can it change anything...

My turning point would be if Hitler was accepted into the Architects' College he was rejected from, and hence turned his hate towards the people he thought rejected him (the jews;apparently).

If that happened, he would have conquered the building plans world with his incredible might of the pen, giving us such world wonder designs as the Adolf towers and the Statue of Nuremberg. The Empire state building would be known as the Fuhrer state building and the world would be at its knees. You ask why? Because only Adolf would know the location of the single Key Stone that when pulled, would cause a chain reaction of destruction across the entire spectrum of the world's buildings, and the world would shamefully submit to Nazi reign.

Microsoft would be known as Ubersoft, and the 360 would be a mandatory home unit that would spy on our daily lives, all competion e.g. Sony and Nintendo wouldnt exist, and the world will have quality gaming for once.

What if an meteor never struck earth and the ice age never happened. I would totally go for dinosaurs walking around right about now. Jurassic Park? i'd take my kids if i had 'em. though, i'd not suggest any sort of jungle expeditions if that were the case.

on that note, they should make a jurassic park game, b/c i love that movie.

And what about that primordial ooze that started life? though, they've got a game coming out that would follow the MILLIONS of possibilities on evolution right there, i want Spore.

1200BC,In the area of land now known as Southern Algeria had the first written records of using money.Inscriptions in stones record that 'twelve shekels' were paid into the bank account belonging to Algar Hammurabi, in return for 'use of his daughter'. If Algar Hammurabi thought of a different way for the return for 'use of his daughter', Money would not exist! Some people think money not existing is the worst thing ever, others would find it to be the best thing that has ever happened.

(EVENTS)

*A majority of the jobs and buildings we have today would not exist.

*People would either have to trade for products or work for them or just have them delivered to there homes

*Things that we know today might have never been proven facts and things we don't know today might have been proven facts

*Money has turned some best friends into enemies competing with each other.

With out money people would think more and take more time out of products they create

*There would be no greed

*Money is what made some people poor, and others rich, money has made life extremely unfair

Like I said earlier this would have been great, and for others It would be awful (sadly).

if the plane that went down in the field during 9/11 had made it to the white house and had successfully crashed into it and killed the president, cheney would've taken over until the next election. he would've sent us into the war anyway, but the next president elected would pull us out of the war, and nuke the living jellybeans out of iraq.

While i have thought of this a lot as i am studying WW2 in school right now,

If Hitler had succeeded and won WW2 we would all be Christian Aryans (Blond Hair Blue Eye's) and we would live in a "Perfect Society" that would be almost like 1984 come true. e would not be able to think bad thought without being tortured

I decided to not get frustrated a retyped my story. Its practically the same except I may have left out one or two things.

During the French and Indian War, Major George Washington sent messages to his opposing French commanders. There were multiple instances while on the road when Washington and his company were attacked by Indian forces. During one of these skirmishes a bullet entered and exited the left side Washington's uniform. He noted this afterwards and had he been standing only a few inches to his left, he would not have survived the battle.

Without George Washington, the United States of America would never have been conceived. Washington was young had shown great brilliance in battle yet most of his accomplishments were noted after his youth. The Articles of Confederation, though weak for the country, were major stepping stones that paved the way for the United States Constitution. These important, post French and Indian War documents would never have existed without Washington's help.

Washington would never have been the first president of the United States of America. Without this milestone in history, there would never follow any presidents. Whether it be a significantly noticeable change in history such as a change in the country or a relatively unnoticeable peace by a president keeping his country out of war, each president has brought something valuable to the table. Without Washington leading the way, no one would have existed as president.

The current United States of America would not exist as it is today. Many luxuries that are taken for granted would be lost. Leaving ones home with security that nothing will befall them will be nonexistent. The entertainment that is seen throughout the media and internet would never have existed. Many of us would never have been conceived. Without Washington leading the United States of America to a free country, the world would be behind in current advancements.

April 14, 1865. Ford's Theatre, Washington D.C. "Our American Cousin" by Tom Taylor will be acted out here tonight. A young confederate spy from the state of Maryland, one John Wilkes Booth, waits in silence outside of a state box.Through the door in front of him he hears four voices: two male and two female. He recognizes the voice of the one he is to kill this night, 16th President of the United States of America Abraham Lincoln, coming from the left side of the box. Suddenly, the four burst into fits of laughter. Now is his chance! Booth slams the door open, catching the attention Henry Rathbone, the other male seated with Lincoln. "I only have one chance!", he thinks to himself. His hand, clasped around a single shot .44 caliber Henry Deringer, shakes as he dashes toward the President's chair.

He never gets to take the shot.

Earlier that evening, Lincoln had readjusted his chair, causing the rug in the box to be pulled up ever so slightly. As Booth dashed in to eliminate his target, he tripped on the slight bump the movement caused and fell headfirst onto the floor at Lincoln's feet. Before he could get his bearings, Rathbone quickly put a round right between the would-be assassin's eyes. The play was cancelled and local authorities arrived on the scene shortly thereafter.

Several months later, the Thirteen Amendment to the US Constitution was put into effect, putting an end to slavery in America. Unlike in our timeline, it was effective almost immediately as Lincoln dedicated himself completely to ridding his country of injustices against African Americans. Confederate diehards put up a struggle, with riots taking place well into 1866, but eventually, they gave in thanks to new taxes being put on those who did not abide by the new laws put in place.

Flash forward a century later. The civil rights movement never needs to happen. Rose Parks is allowed to sit wherever she wants on the Montgomery bus and Martin Luther King Jr. goes on to become a very well-known preacher in Atlanta, Georgia. Decades of hatred and racial intolerance are wiped clean from the annals of history thanks to one very spiteful man tripping over one very unforgiving rug.

What if Elvis, instead of his twin, Jesse Garon, had been born dead in that shack in Mississippi and buried in that unmarked grave? How different might our lives have been?

let's take a look at a world without Elvis - a world in which John Lennon might have become the journalist he imagined being, without Elvis to inspire him. The music world would surely not be what it is today.
