"Completed Aiding the Outcasts"

To start this quest walk around for a little bit once loading up the game a good place to go would be The Citadel that's where my signal came up in about 30 seconds so I recommend fast traveling there. Once you get the signal fast travel to "red racer factory" and head south there will be a door off to your left if your walking south that is hidden in a corner called "Door to Baileys Crossroads Metro" that's when you know your going to right way. Once in the tunnels walk around following your marker and once out of the tunnels you will get to escalators. Walk up them to be greeted and proceed to fight clearing the building up ahead. Once through you will get to the Outcast Outpost and you will need to go down the elevator. Once inside you will speak to many people which will lead you into to a simulation. Once in it you will unlock the achievement.

"Completed The Guns of Anchorage"

This mission is started the second you enter the simulation. Once started you will be guided through paths in the cliffs which will lead to a building where you will go through it for a while. This whole path is straight forward and hard to drift away from. If your worried about ammo and falling off the ledge and health don't be because falling off just warps you up and there are infinite ammo and health packs everywhere. But once through the building you will come to an outside cliff area with three giant guns. You must place explosives on them and walk away and continue on doing to the same for the others. Once done you will be warped to another area where the achievement will unlock.

"Completed Paving the Way"

Get debriefed on the mission and then talk to morgan. He will give you stuff you need for your squad. Now go to the terminals and choose what you want your squad to be. You need to use both terminals before you can leave. Once out head to your right to pick up your guns and ammo. Now head to the North west towards to the goal that says destroy two fuel tanks. Once there plant explosives on 2 of the tanks to finish that part of the quest. After you will be warped back to the mission briefing room. Choose another command set at the terminals and get ready to go. [personally I chose the Fire equipment because it was easier] Once that's done head to the Listening post and be careful there are a ton of guys and a lot of them have rockets so watch out. Once you make your way through the train track and through a broken building you will come to stairs. Climb those stairs and entering the building once inside follow the path all the way through and at the top killing everyone you see. Once at the top you will clear this part of the quest and be taken back to the mission briefing room where the achievement will unlock.

"Completed Operation: Anchorage"

Once you are able to move leave the debriefing room and head towards your marker you will enter some trench's. This path is straight forward with its bends of course but you get the drift. You will follow this around till you get to a giant open area with pulse mines everywhere. You must hit the switch found in the building towards your marker. Once hit head towards the factory and the door will be blown open and your able to walk in. Talk to the general and if you have good speech you can convince him to kill himself and if not then you will have to fight him. Once done you will talk to someone and the simulation will end. Once out head straight towards the locked door. Use the terminal next to it to open and once you walk in the last achievement is yours.

-Minimum number of playthroughs needed? 1

-Number of missable achievements? none

NOTE: To activate The Pitt DLC, just load up a previous save and wait about one minute or so.

Welcome to The Pitt! The second of three downloadable content episodes for Fallout 3.

The story behind the events that took place in The Pitt is rather straight forward. It is recommended that you utilize multiple saves in the event you would like to try different conversation choices. Also there are two different endings to The Pitt, as well as a slew of new weapons and perks to enjoy.

As with the normal storyline of Fallout 3, if at any time the enemy A.I. proves to be difficult, simply adjust the difficulty slider in the options.

Follow the marker on the map and you will meet up with Werhner and talk about travelling to The Pitt. Follow the map marker and get the slave outfit. After meeting back up with Werhner, follow the map marker to the tunnel entrance and active the hand cart to travel to The Pitt. Follow the path with Werhner. After he opens the gate, continue across the bridge. Follow the road after the bridge and to the right. The gate at the end of the road will be opened for you. After the conversation, enter the door on the left.

After you complete the first quest, this becomes active. You must make contact with Midea then travel to the Steelyard for your first taste of Ingot collecting. After collecting, you drop 10 Ingots to the guard, then head back to Midea. You will then listen to a speech by Asher, then you go to sign up for the Arena. After a series of 3 battles in the Arena, this achievement will unlock.

The final quest. After the Arena, you must travel to Haven. Here you will speak with Ashur. Now, after this conversation you speak with his wife Sandra (follow map marker.) You now have a big choice to make, and your choice will decide which route you travel to finish the quest. Given that this is a major spoiler, check my walkthrough for the choices you have. Either way, once you finish the quest, you will unlock the achievement.

This is quite a time consuming achievement, but quickly obtained with the help of the guide in the link below.

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/UP2iueQ.jpgDeath From Above 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg

To even get here you need to actually finish the game, it doesn't matter which way you choose to end the game either way you wake up 2 weeks after the events. Once you are awake go and speak to Rothchild who can be located on the bottom floor of the laboratory. After speaking with him you will need to meet Paladin Tristian at the bottom left of the world map. Once going into the tunnel and speaking with Tristian you will be asked to assist them in a fight. Now prepare for awesomeness as you watch the chaos. Once you have watched the really sad moment (you'll know it when you see it) go into the hole in the building. Now be prepared there are loads of enemies here. Just keep making your way through the building till you reach a computer and download the data from it. After downloading the data follow the steps through the door to the left and exit the building. Now fast travel back to the Citadel and speak to Rothchild once again. After speaking to him report to Elder Lyons in Ring A. He will usually be sitting at a table. Once you've spoken to him its mission completed.

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/UPxCQXc.jpgShock Value 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg

For this mission to start you need to go speak to Tristian once again. He will ask you to go to Old Olney & also give you an optional quest. For the optional quest you must go speak with Vallincount at the bottom of the laboratory where she will give you a deathclaw scrambler. You can use this to control certain deathclaws. Now on your map you will get 2 locations marked. Don't worry about the one that isn't Old Olney as you can't do much with it. With that out of the way stock up and fast travel to Old Olney or if you haven't been there check the map below. You will fight lots of deathclaws here. What your looking for here is a sewer drain. Once inside avoid the deathclaws if possible and look for a ladder to the underground. Once here make your way following the path until you have entered a building. When you get there kill the Enclave and make your way to the top and through a door to the Powerworks. Once in you can hack the door to the right to make it quicker or travel around to get to the other entrance. You will come to a room with a lot of electricity with a hole you can jump in with a door in it. Jump down through there and go into the door and access the computer. Deactivate the electricity and grab the Tesla Coil. No go back into that room with the Computer and go through the door which will take you to a ladder and exit. Now fast travel back to the Citadel & go into the A ring and speak with Tristian to complete your quest.

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/UPngqo4.jpgWho Dares Wins 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg

This one starts right after. Leave and fast travel to tepid sewers and continue traveling till you get to metro central. Once out, travel west till you get to the white house plaza and enter the sewer here. Alternately you can just fast travel to Metro Central. Once in the tunnel go to the left and follow the tunnels all the way through. There are lots of robots and ghouls so be careful. When you get to a train there will be a robot and a power supply box. There's different ways to do this part but I would say to kill the robot and get the power cell and enter it into the fuse box.

Once that's done get on the train and when you get off at the next stop go up the stairs through the door. Welcome to the base. Collect your orders to the left in a crate and get the new Tesla Gun (its awesome) Make your way through the base, there are lots of enclave, turrets, & robots. While going through collect stimpacks and ammo and keep on the look out for artillery strike buttons. Once through get to the top of the Air Traffic Tower (it's the tallest building there, you def. notice it) & open up the mobile platform. Get back outside and then enter the mobile platform. If you have the deathclaw control you can get some sidekicks in here. If not oh well no big deal. There are once again lots of enemies, but more than anytime before. Make your way to the top of the base until you reach a control room with many terminals. Access the main one and your given a choice. Choose good or bad. I would say the obvious good choice because well the bad one doesn't turn out so well in the end lol. Once you have chosen your pick exit to the left and enjoy the show. Broken Steel Complete.

"All for reaching level 30 with a certain karma."

These 3 achievements are obtained by reaching level 30 with a certain karma level needed. Getting to level 30 can be annoying but there are way to make it go faster like using the scrap metal glitch or little lamplight speech glitch which takes forever, or you can just kill a ton mutants sell there blood samples and cash in for XP and Bottle Caps. For me to make it faster I fast traveled in this order to make it go by quicker.

To reach the level with karma values, Save when you're almost finished with 28, get to level 29, Choose "here and now" perk to instant ding, When at 30, choose one of the 3 karma adjuster perks. Devil's Highway, Escalator to Heaven, or Karmic Rebalance. When the level up completes, your karma is adjusted before it finishes, and gives you the achievement. Reload save, ding again, and choose the next karma perk in the list.

With the advent of Point Lookout, you can pay 1000 caps (then 500 for each repeat) to play a ghoul rush "safari" with Plik. You can get several hundred EXP per run with this, especially if you go to kenny's hideout, and rest, because you can get the well rested perk since this counts as a "house" for you. Just wait 24 hours, Plik will have rounded up some more fodder, and you can go again indefinitely.

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/thelocalflavor.jpg 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg The Local Flavor- Completed "The Local Flavor"

Complete the mission "The Local Flavor" in Point Lookout; it's the first mission you receive. The mission will start right when you arrive at the boat to get to Point Lookout. When you arrive at Point Lookout, you head Southeast to the Calvert Mansion (will be marked on your map) and help the ghoul Desmond defend the mansion against Tribals by exploring the west and east wings of the mansion, respectfully, and sealing off infiltration points. After that, the Tribals will come in numbers through the front door. Kill them and talk to Desmond about the Tribals and he'll ask you to infiltrate the Tribals and find out their aim in attacking the mansion.

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/walkingwithspirits.jpg 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Walking With Spirits- Completed "Walking With Spirits"

Complete the mission "Walking With Spirits". Mission can only be done after "The Local Flavor" mission, and will be received upon completing said mission. When you arrive at the base of the Tribals (the Cathedral), they will ask you to go into the Sacred Bog (far west) and get seeds from the big Punga fruit in the Grotto. This is your Rite of Passage to gain entrance to the Tribals. Upon arriving in the bog, you will have to follow the river and rocks towards the giant Punga fruit, all whilst fighting various Mirelurks. After activating the Punga, travel back through the bog, amongst a bunch of weird goings-on. You reach the end when you meet a man standing by the bomb that's in the middle of Megaton. You then regain consciousness and have to trek your way back to the Cathedral.

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/meetingoftheminds.jpg 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg A Meeting of the Minds- Completed "A Meeting of the Minds"

Complete the last mission in the Point Lookout main story arc, "A Meeting of the Minds". Note that several missions take place between this and the "Walking With Spirits" mission. In this mission, you arrive back at the Calvert Mansion to see it go up in flames. You report back to Desmond in his built-in bomb shelter, and he asks you to follow him to the Lighthouse, where Professor Calvert's brain is taking refuge. Follow him the Lighthouse, but be sure to stick close as he doesn't move unless you're near. The Lighthouse laboratory is guarded mostly by Turrets and other various robots. Fight through the lab, into the room where Calvert's brain is. You can either listen to his babble and go through with killing Desmond for him, or you can silence him yourself; your choice.

Noted frustration: After battles, Desmond will not move unless you first progress a little. Don't wait around for him after battles.

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/bogwalker.jpg 40http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Bog Walker - Discovered all locations within Point Lookout

Here is a quick map for the general idea of where all the locations are located at.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/File:Point_Lookout_map_with_locations.png

There are 29 locations to discover. Arguably, the quickest and easiest way to do this is to travel to the Point Lookout Pier and, following the list from below, head west in a circle around the map. The locations are all roughly near each other and shouldn't take too long to find.

The list of places are as followed:

01. Point Lookout Pier

02. Pilgrim's Landing

03. House of Wares

04. The Homestead Motel

05. Ofie Clan Plot

06. Disaster Relief Outpost

07. Dove Delta

08. Blackhall Manor

09. Grower's Shack

10. Sacred Bog Entrance

11. Lil' Tyke Playhouse

12. Flooded Sinkhole

13. Trapper's Shack

14. Jet Crash Site

15. Trash Heap

16. Marguerite's Shack

17. Turtledove Detention Camp

18. Truck Wreckage

19. The Ark & Dove Cathedral

20. Ark & Dove Resting Grounds

21. Wrecked Seatub

22. Coastal Grotto

23. Herzog Mine

24. U.S.S. Ozymandias

25. Haley's Hardware

26. Ritual Site

27. Beachview Campsite

28. Calvert Mansion

29. Point Lookout Lighthouse

Note: There is a 30th location called Sub Recovery Site, which you find during the quest "The Velvet Curtain", but you don't need this for the achievement

For this achievement you must collect all 25 recordings while playing through this DLC. Some of them can be missed and at a certain point there is no turning back to get these so,

Check out this awesome guide for collecting all of them!

I am so conflicted about this DLC. I loved every minute of it but I felt that it was too short. On the other hand, they could have put in some filler that made it longer, but not necessarily adding to the story. My only gripe is the price, but I think I would pay it if I were to go back in time because it is waaayyyy too much fun.

Where else can you:

[spoiler=wank]Combating ninjas with energy swords and chinese snipers?!?!?! Fallout craziness at its best!

It hasn't been mentioned yet, but the DLC can be used as a leveling boost at the very start of the game. Once you exit your vault and approach Megaton, you get the distress call from the Outcasts. Just met some raiders on the way to the waypoint, once I was in the simulation, everything was super-easy. I finished the DLC halfway towards level 8, with an imba melee weapon, lots of big and small guns and a very - VERY - good defensive gear.

And with a strong resolution to finish Fallout 3 this time. DLC did this for me, amazingly.

This may not be the place, but I didn't want to get blasted for creating another thread...

Did the next two DLC's get pushed back? Originally it was slated for Feb 09 (The Pitt) and March 09 (Broken Steel). I have read on the Fallout wiki site and a couple other places that The Pitt is coming in March and Broken Steel not until April...

I hope that is not true because I do not know if I can wait until April to have the level cap lifted lol. Seriously though, if anyone has CONCRETE info post it

Thanks again Y0UNIK0RN, you're clearly the FO3 guide master here ;)

Worth mentioning that you can start anywhere and within 30 seconds the 'pop up' message about picking up a weak signal appears. I tried with 3 separate, very far apart, game saves (3 hrs in, 30hrs in and a 62hrs one). Regardless of where I was, what I was doing (mid-fight) the message pops up.

Makes no real shakes, just thought I'd put it out there.

Nice guide, just in the middle of doing it again. I missed out on an intel last time and wanted to do it again to get them all. An extremely easy 100G could really be done in 90minutes if you just ran through it. I'm going to do it this time killing every person I can find in it and then see how much it would add to the 300 if you haven't got that achievement yet. I'd estimate it to be around 70, even if they aren't real people ha!

  • 4 weeks later...
can you still pay as your character even if you have finished the game(i heard he dies) or would you have to start a new game for it???

Nice spoiler :)

Yes you can still play as your character, provided you have an earlier save. Which everyone bar, well, fools do.

Bring on the DLC. I have 1100/1100, i'm awaiting 1200/1200.
