Introduction:

Welcome back to Albion!

Fable III takes place 50-60 years after the events of Fable II. You will be called upon to rally and fight alongside your people, ascend to the seat of power, and experience the true meaning of love and loss while defending your throne. In your quest to seize power and defend your kingdom, the choices you make will change the world around you, for the greater good or your own personal gain.

Who will you become? A rebel without a cause, the tyrant you rebelled against, or the greatest ruler to ever live?

Breakdown:

During this Breakdown, I'll be laying out what's best to do when and how to get the most out of the game but at the same time not missing anything Achievement wise.

I've split this into 4 sections:

  • Story – Where you'll get the main story achievements plus the missable achievements you need to look out for.
  • Online – Where you have a few easy achievements to pick up and then you'll have the Legendary Weapons to deal with.
  • Misc – This will be mainly for any simple achievements that you may of missed along your journey or left until the end.
  • Clean up/Collectables/Kills – As the title says! This will show you all the collectable achievements you need to get and the remaining kills you'll need to rack up.

So lets begin!

Story:

I suggest you just play through the story and not worry to much about some of the achievements, as you can come back at get these at any time. You'll get along the way many optional quests so I recommend you do them as and when you can.

Fable III is a big RPG game and is full of stuff to do and should be enjoyed! As it is an RPG the game is pretty much open to you once you've located new places and your story progresses, so don’t worry if you've missed an achievement as you can simple go back and get it during your game!

During the story you'll unlock a total of 7 achievements worth 205:gsicon: and these are all storyline based missions that you can't miss or will do as you play. These achievements are:

  • The Guild Seal
  • And So It Begins
  • Swift Justice
  • The Resistance
  • Distance Friends
  • The Ruler Of Albion
  • For Albion
  • Hand in Hand

You may also come across others on your journey (optional quests) that aren't so story based, so this may go up a bit. If you don't come across some of the others, don't worry as you can pick them up at any time during the game or after the story is completed! See Misc for more details.

A main missable achievements that you'll need to watch out for are:

  • Coronation Chicken
  • You Can't Bring Me Down
  • Tough Love

"Coronation Chicken" requires you to preform a Royal Judgement while dressed in a Chicken Suit. "You Can't Bring Me Down" requires you to play through the whole story arch and not get knocked out once. "Tough Love" requires you to save the maximum amount of Albion Citizens by the end of the Rulings section of the story. All can be missed but again if you do a 2nd playthrough make sure you keep these in mind if you're going for the 1k.

Please see guide for more details on how to get these in one playthrough.

Road to Rule - This is the "leveling" system for the game! As you play through the story and complete quests you'll be given Guild Seals. With these you can unlock Chests on the Road to Rule, each one with there own value.

Each Chest holds something different and possibly important to your journey. Along the Road you can unlock simple things like Cloth Dyes, Weapons to "Packs" that let you get married or buy houses to new Magic Spells!

For the "Chest Grandmaster" achievement, it requires your to unlock all Chests along the Road to Rule. Please see guide for more detail.

Online:

First things first are the easy Online achievements to pick up:

  • Long Distance Relationship
  • Cross-Dimension Conception
  • Online Merger
  • We Can Be Heroes

Each one is pretty simple but you do require certain in game things to actually unlock them except for Online Merger & We Can Be Heroes. See guide for more details.

If you are looking for people to get these achievements please use the Achievement Trading Thread

Now we move onto the Legendary Weapons achievement:

  • We Need Guns, Lots Of Guns

This achievement will take up most of your time. Its one hell of a collectables achievement and there's a few twist and turns to it. Please refer to the Guide for more details before you start trading!

If you're looking for people to trade online achievements or weapons with please use the Legendary Weapons Trading Thread.

Misc:

This is where you'll be finishing up all those optional quests you didn't complete and anything misc achievement wise.

You may of got some of these optional quests during the Story depending on how you play, but here is a list of all the none based story achievements that you can get during the game. Some you cant get until the 2nd half of the game. See guide for more details:

  • Save The Princess
  • Ghost Brothers
  • Tragical-Comical-Historical
  • Island Paradise
  • Knight Jumps Chesty
  • He's a Women. She's a Man – Optional only for male characters

And here are the misc ones that again you'll get as you play, can get at any point, you cant get until the 2nd half of the game or until you've unlocked a certain Chest from the Road to Rule etc. See guide for more details:

  • Spellweaver
  • Archmage
  • Total Warrior
  • Pull
  • Gunning For Glory
  • If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It
  • Wizard's Revenge
  • Super Hero
  • My Weapons Better Than Yours
  • Digger
  • Dye Hippie, Dye
  • Barrel of Laughs
  • Kaboom!
  • Lute Hero Tour
  • Touched By A Hero
  • Popularity Contest
  • Remodelling
  • Magnate Personality
  • Crime Spree
  • Henry VIII
  • Chest Grandmaster
  • Adopt Or Die

Again, for more details please see each achievement in the guide, which will tell you what you need to do or have to get some of these to unlock!

Clean up/Collectables/Kills:

First as mentioned above in the Online section is the Legendary Weapons. But these aren't the only collectables in the game, so below are the others that I recommend you leave until you're pretty certain you're ready to look for them all or mop up the remaining lot:

  • I Am The Keymaster
  • Flower Power
  • Gnome Invasion
  • Brightwall Book Club
  • We Need Guns, Lots of Guns
  • Fashion Victim

So.. Where do you start. Well to be honest it doesn't really matter at all! You most likely came across some of these collectables in your story so you've already got a little head start and idea of what you're looking for.

See guide for more details & Collectables Guide links.

Now we move onto the 500 kills with each weapon and your magic. Here are the achievements that you'll be looking to get:

  • Gunning For Glory
  • If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It
  • Wizard's Revenge

Each one of these achievements will require you to kill 500 enemies each with each type weapon and your magic. You should get them as you play through the game!

See guide for more details.

Conclusion:

I hope this Roadmap has helped you in understanding what Fable III consists of and the best way to go about getting your 1000:gsicon:. If you have any new methods or info to help with the guide please post in the thread and me or SideDish will look into it.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UP8Flwg=.jpgCoronation Chicken 10:gsicon:

Perform a royal judgement while dressed as a chicken

*Missible achievement & it can only be obtained from the 2nd half of the game onwards*

To unlock the Chicken suit you'll have to complete the following:

Quest: Chicken Chaser

Worth: 10 Guild Seals

Location: Brightwall

How to Complete: Locate the farmer and he'll give you the suit. Round up all nine chickens to complete the quest and the suit will be all yours.

When you become ruler of Albion you have around 10 Judgements. The rulings section is quite large, so it may take you a few hours to complete. Best way to do this is as soon as you're told to go to the Throne Room to decide on your brother fate, go to the Sanctuary and put on the Chicken suit. Go to the ruling and once its finished it'll unlock!

This is missable as if you do all these Judgements without wearing the suit, thats it! You'll have to play a 2nd playthrough as these Judgements wont come back.

Combine two gauntlets to cast a "woven" spell

Spellweaving is unlocked on the Road to Rule. Once you've unlocked it, go to your Sanctuary, combine 2 different spells together, exit then just press :bbut:.

Kill enemies with melee, ranged and spell attacks

Pretty simple stuff and you'll unlock this fairly early. Just kill any enemy with Melee, Ranged and Magic attacks!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UPxO94s=.jpgPull! 10:gsicon:

Send an enemy flying into the air and kill him while he's airborne

This may come naturally as you play but if you're having trouble cast the Vortex surround spell and use your gun to kill and enemy while they're spinning in the air.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UPpLn2w=.jpgGunning For Glory 20:gsicon:

Kill 500 enemies using firearms

Refer to Wizard's Revenge.

Refer to Wizard's Revenge.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UPyxfHw=.jpgWizard's Revenge 20:gsicon:

Kill 500 enemies using magic

You should get all three of these on your story but this is if you fully play the game before you do the final quest! The thing to do is stay with one type of attack until you get the achievement then move onto the next.

Fully upgrade your Melee, Ranged, and Magic abilities on the Road to Rule

You'll need to unlock the "Level 5" Melee, Ranged and Magic Chests on the Road to Rule.

Please note that this cannot be unlocked until near the end of the story. Please see the Road to Rule Guide for more info.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UP1ivfM=.jpgYou Can't Bring Me Down 50:gsicon:

Complete Fable III without being knocked out in combat

*Missable achievement*

As the description suggests, don't get knocked out in combat. Here are a few tips:

  • Buy all the healing & slow time potions you can
  • Kill enemies with Ranged + Magic attacks over Melee
  • Use good weaving spells to kill faster like Fire+Shock and not stuff like Force Push or Vortex unless you need to clear the area.

There's always a trick up the sleeve though. If by any chance you do fall in battle, I suggest you quickly dashboard it! When you reload your game you'll be at your last main checkpoint and the death wouldn't of counted! I can confirm this works as I had to do it and my death count was still at 0.

The achievement will unlock after the credits have finished if you didn't get knocked out during the whole story.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UPlmjdc=.jpgMy Weapon's Better Than Yours 25:gsicon:

Complete 3 unique upgrades on one of the legendary weapons found around Albion

Each Legendary Weapon has 3 challenges for you to unlock in order to increase the weapons abilities. Simply view the weapons info in the Sanctuary to see what they are. Some are easier than others & it's up to you which one you will choose to upgrade.

For all the upgrades please use the Lengendary Weapons - Upgrades Requirements Thread.

Dig up 50 items

This should come naturally as you play through the game. As you go from area to area your dog will sniff out little dirt piles that you can dig up. Simply follow your little friend to the spot and dig the spot he finds for you.

Dig 50 spots and the achievement is yours!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UP039tc=.jpgWe Need Guns, Lots Of Guns 20:gsicon:

Collect all 50 legendary weapons. They won’t all appear in your world, so trade with other Heroes!

With this achievement you'll be in it for the long haul and I feel is the make or break of the 1k! It's also a bit sad you only get 20:gsicon: for this!

The Legendary Weapons in Fable III are like the normal weapons that you find throughout Fable II. So you get 50 different variants of the 4 main types of weapons but none are the same as your original Hero Weapons!

So here comes the long haul bit about this achievement;

You can't get them all by yourself! On a given Gamertag, only 26 of the Legendary Weapons are obtainable solo: 12 from shops, 12 from treasure chests and 2 from quest rewards.

The weapons you can receive per playthrough are also, more or less, random. The contents of stores, rewards for some quests, and contents of some treasure chests are simply 'random Legendary Weapon', so the weapons won't all show up on a given playthrough.

Also, to make the achievement unlock you'll need all 50 unique Legendary Weapons in your inventory! So for example if you had Legendary Weapon #1, traded it away and then at one point got #2-49 the achievement will not unlock! You'll need to go back over LIVE and trade it back so that the game recognises you have the full set of 50!

For a list of all 50 Weapons pease see the Legendary Weapons List or to help you on your collection use the Legendary Weapons Trading Thread to find people with the Legendary Weapon you need.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UP5v-j4=.jpgFashion Victim 20:gsicon:

Collect every item of clothing

Most of the clothing items can be found on a natural playthrough. It may take one male and one female playthrough to get all the clothing though, unless you trade. There is one item of clothing - the Chef's Hat - which is difficult to come by, there is no right or wrong way for this item to appear.

As with the Lengendary Weapons achievement, you will need to have all the clothing in your possession at once for this to unlock.

For a complete list of all pieces of Clothing please see the Clothing List or If you cant find a certain piece of Clothing please use the Achievement Trading Thread to find peolpe that may have it.

If that doesn't take your fancy then simply wear a full set of clothes intended for the opposite sex

  • Hat
  • Upper Body
  • Hands
  • Lower Body
  • Feet

Have a child with another Xbox LIVE player

To unlock this, the instigator of sex requires both the “Family Pack” & "Landlord Pack" from the Road to Rule.

You need to have sex in the Marital Home with the other player to have a child. Players have to be of the opposite sex to have a child together.

Kill 30 enemies with explosive barrels

Throughout your journey and your quests you'll come across these explosive barrels. If you're in the thick of the battle these are very useful because of the area spread of the explosion. Simply try and line up the enemy/ies with any barrels you see and launch a bullet or ranged magic attack at it to make them explode and hopefully kill said enemy/ie.

With a bit of luck, by the end of the “Cable Car and Hobbes” main story quest you might unlock this.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UP29Z3I=.jpgWe Can Be Heroes 10:gsicon:

Earn 1,000 gold in henchman wages in another Hero's world

Simply join another players world as a Client and you'll earn roughly 5 gold every 5mins. This does not have to be done all on one session.

To earn gold faster, take up a job, find chests, complete quests & buy houses etc.. All will count towards it!

Please use the Achievement Trading Thread to find someones world to join.

Score 2,000 on the Mourningwood Fort mortar game

First off you must score over 2,000 pts on the game for it to unlock!

You are required to purchase Mourningwood Fort to unlock the Mortar Range mini game, this requires the “Entrepreneur Pack” from the Road to Rule if you are going to play this solo but the best way to get this achievement is through coop!

One of you does have to have the "Entreperneur Pack" so let that person be the host. Then head to Mourningwood and start to play the mini game. Now all you have to do is get a combined score, instead of solo, of 2,000 points. Much easier than doing it solo!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UP1RhO8=.jpgLute Hero Tour 10:gsicon:

Play in each town as a 5 star lute player

You'll need to unlock “Level 5 Lute Hero” on the Road to Rule and perform in Brightwall, Bowerstone Market, Dweller Camp and City of Aurora.

For this to count you need to successfully complete a round. Getting a note wrong while you play will not count as playing in the city. So quitting out of your game or turning off your xbox will make the counter reset, making you play in all cities again!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UP9DtEY=.jpgTouched By A Hero 10:gsicon:

Use touch expressions to interact with 20 different people

This can be unlocked early on, simply interact and shake hands (or another expression) with 20 different NPCs.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UPn-dBg=.jpgPopularity Contest 15:gsicon:

Make 20 Friends

This is not an online achievement, so don't let the achievement tile fool you.

This requires the “Friend Pack” from the Road to Rule. Then interact with an NPC until they ask you to do something for them. After completing their task and returning to the NPC they will become your friend. Brightwall is a good place to do this as 98% of the time you'll be asked to go to the Dwellers Camp to dig something up or hand something to somenoe, so its all fast travel!

Relationship quests where you take someone on a date etc do not count towards this achievement. It has to be a quest!

Complete this 20 times and it'll unlock, but this may take a bit of time.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UPvefa0=.jpgRemodelling 10:gsicon:

Remodel 5 different houses by changing the furniture

Redecorating any house you own requires the “Landlord Pack” to be unlocked on the Road to Rule.

Simply buy some furniture from the shops and change it for something similar in a house you own.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UPn1cq0=.jpgMagnate Personality 50:gsicon:

Build a property empire worth 2,000,000 gold

Just like Fable II, when you have the spare money purchase a house, redecorate it and accumulate 2,000,000 gold worth of property. Your money will roll in and you can then buy the more expensive places, which will bring in more money. If done right, you should get this before the end of the 2nd half of the game!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UPrhX78=.jpgCrime Spree 10:gsicon:

Get a 15,000 gold bounty placed on your head

Bounty can be earned in many ways:

  • Breaking into locked house's
  • Robbing shops while people or the shop keeper can see you
  • Attacking the town guards and other none violent NPC's with any attack or weapon

Just keep doing this until your bounty is up to 15,000. When you become ruler and ruler of Albion no ones going to try and arrest you! You also need to stay in one region to make it count. Leaving will void the achievement making it reset to 0 Gold. The best place to get a bounty on your head fast is Bowerstone Castle!

If you haven't done it when you become the ruler then you'll have to get this in another players world as your ruler status is is ignored when away from your save.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/UP6ac3w=.jpgHenry VIII 10:gsicon:

As ruler of Albion, get married 6 times and kill 2 of your spouses

This will have to be done in the 2nd half of the game when you're finally ruler of Albion.

After completing a “Friend Relationship” quest, continue to interact with the NPC and they will ask you to complete a task for them. Complete this and they will fall in love with you (Just make sure they're straight and of the opposite sex or gay and of the same sex, as you cannot marry a straight member of the same sex).

This will require the “Family Pack” from the Road to Rule. Any marriages and deaths before this point will not count towards the achievement. Also to note that Coop marriages dont count either what ever stage you're at in the story!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/+wZ+OA==.jpgChest Grandmaster 40:gsicon:

Unlock all of the chests on the Road To Rule

You can unlock this during the "Weight of the World" portion of the story if you're extremely thorough! Otherwise you'll need to invest extra time after the game for those extra Guild Seals.

To pretty much complete the whole of the Road to Rule you'll need to complete most, if not all optional quest. Get additional Seals by interacting with people, befriending them and preforming expressions!

Do not shy away from combat as you can earn your fair share of Seals from fighting alone!

For a full layout of the Road to Rule please see the Road to Rule Guide

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1138/+MePHg==.jpgTough Love 10:gsicon:

Save the maximum amount of Albion citizens

*Missable achievement*

Once you've become King and decided Logans fate you'll be told about the Treasury in your castle. You'll start out with 400,000 Gold.

Over the Rulings section of the story (the whole second half of the game) you have to decide what to do with all the promise's you made! Making the good choices will take money away from your Treasury but help Albion and make people like you even more and making the bad choices will give you more money back but make Albion hate you even more. All this effects the outcome of what happens near the end of the game and the citizens of Albion.

To get this achievement you'll need to save up 6.5mil worth of gold before the final ruling mission! If you choose good, you can always transfer money from your pocket into the Treasury and try and build it back up but it'll take a long time if your funds are low!

If you don't have the required amount of money by the 121st day, don't carry on with the rulings, as the story will carry on and you won't be able gather anymore money.

Ok, I've laid the guide out now and its good to use. I'll try and get most of the 50 tiles in before I've got to leave for work but if I dont they will be done by lunch time GMT, so pretty much before the US wakes up anyways!

I'll also when I can, add all the emotes/hyper links to the right forum pages. Again this will most likely be later this afternoon!

I've kep a few posts free for a couple of reason!

#1 - Just incase I need to move the guide around.

#2 - I want to make a LW/C list, so you know what all the items are and what you need to get! Wont be up until friday earliest!

#3 - Just incase they do DLC I'll want to add it to this main guide but it may just be a new one in any sub-forums made.. not decided yet as may need more posts to fit it all in depending on size.

Please be aware that this guide WIP but is pretty detailed already and more will come during the week.

If you have any questions about the guide just ask here and me or SideDish will see what we can do!

How exactly do you adpt a child? I've been running around the Orphanage for quite som time and I just can't figure it out.

I think this needs to be done in the 2nd half of the game.. I'm actually looking into this, but give that a go. If you are in that part and its not working then I'm guessing you need to talk to someone inside.

Thanks for the great guide, Nozza. Keep up the good work.

Can the co-op achievements be obtained in local co-op aka couch or does it really have to be on XBL?

They have to be done over XBL like the title says im afraid.

Nice guide. I can't wait until it's finished. I have two questions though. 1. What are the "packs"? Ex. the family pack, or the landlord pack. And 2. Are you able to find more than one of the same legendary weapon in your game? Ex. You find a legendary sword early on, and then find the exact same sword later on in the game. Thus giving you two of them. I find that achievement would be impossible to get if you need every weapon you find. No one would want to trade with you since they need to keep theirs for the achievement. Thanks in advance.

I don't have the game yet (damn being in the UK, we have to wait until Friday..) however, I think I can answer your first question.

From what I gather, The Road to Rule contains a certain number of chests that grant you certain extras within the game. eg. I assume the 'Family Pack' grants you the ability to get married, have children etc. (although I don't know for definate and you may want confirmation)

I think that it's like this so that you only have to purchase the chests you want to purchase to complete the game, so if you don't want to get married (or don't have Xbox Live and don't see the need, because you won't get the Achievement) then you don't have to purchase it.

Does that make a little more sense now? :3

------------

And fantastic guide Nozza. I'm really looking forward to getting the game myself on Friday, and both following it and hopefully being able to contribute if I can! ^^
