CelticWarriorDB
That won't work. Forgeries are purely cosmetic. They don't possess any of their original powers/stats. Those items are only used to complete quests by fooling NPCs. And they usually will see through it. So I can't duplicate these stupid bugles that I need for the notice board quest?? Damn it
BloodGodAlucard
So I can't duplicate these stupid bugles that I need for the notice board quest?? Damn it Actually I think you can. It seems to work on items needed for notice board quests. I recall reading a topic that recommended doing that for the Seeker Tokens. I haven't tried it myself though since I'm broke right now and only need a couple more to complete it. I hope it works out for you. If not you could always use the sleeping at the Encampment method I mentioned in that other topic. That should work but might end up costing more that forging them. I haven't looked into what the Black Cat charges. I just know it fluxuates based on the rarity of the item. FLIPADELPHIIA
Yea alucard is right, you can dupe the bugles and seekers tokens if you want, but thats going to cost you lots of money. Honestly, I wouldnt even worry about those 2 notice board quests. If you still need to play ng+, the counter for your board quests carries over, and simply redoing the board quests will count towards your
CelticWarriorDB
Flip, really? Oh cool, I might just do that. The main reason I wanted to do it was for that sword you get called 'soultaker.' I wanted it to go towards the weapon/equipment achievement, and it sounds like a good weapon to have. Actually I think you can. It seems to work on items needed for notice board quests. I haven't looked into what the Black Cat charges. I just know it fluxuates basted on the rarity of the item. I tried that, and I slept there 10 times and it never respawned. Not only that, the bag that had the items completely vanished at one point, and still has yet to come back. This game really didn't want me to have those bugles lol BTW, it costs around 8800 gold per bugle. Personally I'm almost at 5 million gold, so I could've afforded it, but that would take a long time. BloodGodAlucard
Wow that much? That's insane. And don't worry too much about Soultaker. It's really not that good of a weapon if you're more than a few hours into the game. All of the quest reward weapons from the notice boards seem to be cool looking (often sporting really cool gold paint jobs) but are pretty underwhelming stat wise. Just from what I've noticed thus far. There might be one at some point that is amazing, but I haven't encountered it yet.

BloodGodAlucard
Nice, then screw that quest lol I hear ya. You never know. You might end up completing it at some point. Since you can find those bugles all over the place. That's the nice thing about notice board quests. They never fail. So you can keep them even into the post game I believe. LordDVS
The Soultaker, seems to fall under the category of "made from alchemick metal", like all the Gold versions of most weapons. Going by the description, they are just functional/fashionable items that are best sold for a decent chunk of gold.

xRick79
If anyone still has 1 or 2 golden idols to gift, I would appreciate it. I totally screwed up the escort mission (actually the little girl would not appear) and now I'm at the point of the game where these idols are needed. GT= xRick79 I've got a gold idol 'forgery' if you're interested? I'm not sure if it makes a difference that it's a forgery and not real, but it's yours if you want it, let me know:) GT: Scotty x360a

I'm not sure if it makes a difference that it's a forgery and not real, but it's yours if you want it, let me know:) GT: Scotty x360a There is a difference: the forgery one also reduces shop prices by 30% but cannot be used to complete the quest "Idol Worship" nor "Supplier Demand"
