Paka
I used to be an Amazon junkie before I became employed with the university here... now, I by far consider my best benefit to be the library privileges. We have an incredible collection, and as I love mostly non-fiction anyways (especially history and science in general), I'm in heaven, as I can pick out stuff I'd normally never would have had a chance to read. More stuff in there too that I'd like to read than I think I could in a long life (not that I'm planning to stay here that long). When I was younger, garage sales and library sales were another good source for me. At some of the library sales I remember being able to buy a big shopping bag of books for a few bucks. Jemocasa
I generally buy my books at Coles/Chapters. Once in awhile I'll grab something from Amazon.ca, but mostly I go to an actual store. When I was a teen I used to go to used book stores to get them, but I prefer to have them new now.
RuYi
There's an online store that sells books, games, films and music, and tons of it. They usually have what I need for a good price. Else I settle with the library.
aheadofme
I usually hit Borders online because there always seems to be coupons floating around and I get credit from filling out e-rewards online surveys (not affiliated and wouldn't recommend if you're concerned about privacy, who knows where the info goes). Eventually I'd like my magazines on an e-reader, but I'll always need real books.

GhostFalcon3
Amazon!, for some reason I like to keep the books that I get even though I only get like 2 to three a year so it's not exactly expensive, must be the collector with in me.
sweeneysaint
I get mine from Books a Million, even though its not as big as barnes and noble, they also arent as big a pain about people reading in the store. Amazon is also good, but I can't stand ebay's book market. the last book i got from them was in several peices.
Sambuca Queen
I use to work in Borders before we were made redundant and the stores here in the UK closed down. That was the keyplace ... anyhoo, I use Waterstones, Amazon, PLAY, Tesco, Asda and also charity shops.
rvlution
I use Amazon, a couple of local used booksellers and occasionally Books A Million or Barnes and Noble.
Arianwen
I'm UK-based so I use the Oxfam bookshops, which are amazing and cheap if you're not after 100% pristine books. I also buy used from Amazon.
StolenPaper18
I pretty much always use Amazon. Come to think of it, I usually use Amazon for just about everything that I purchase these days.

DarkestofFlames
Amazon, various book clubs (QPB, SFBC, Doubleday, etc..), Borders, Barnes And Noble, the library, and various small book stores in Southern Cali. I prefer to go to the actual stores over ordering online, but if I can't find a particular book I'm looking for I shop on Amazon.
R Rated Love
There's a few local/independent used bookstores I'll usually look at before resorting to Amazon. I don't mind books being used, and the prices/selection at the used book stores are unbeatable. (Usually only have to go Amazon on brand new releases)
jarheadwayne
A used bookstore here in Arizona called Bookman's. My fiance and I love it. We trade our books all the time. We have about $100 in trade credit and we both have probably 20 books each waiting on the dresser to be read.
Starstrukk X360A
If I shop online, just Amazon. Or Borders if I want to browse around a store.
UnknownVisitor
Mainly online form Amazon b/c I'm lazy. But I also frequent a brick and mortar Borders that's up the road. It's a really nice store.
brokensaint82
I used to go to B&N and BAM, but here in town we have a small used books seller that has some good stuff from time to time, where i picked up what i'm reading right, The Night Angel Trilogy, made me wanna play oblivion lol
Takamura Bear
I get all my manga books and what not from Amazon. I always find their service the best for prices and delivery. I also like their "Super Saver Delivery" feature. So I can order as many books as I want with no added shipping cost. I also use the the book depository now and then as they're really good with prices and delivery as well.
