The epic showdown that fans of America's favorite pastime have been clamoring for is on! For the first time, an all-star roster from Nickelodeon's Nicktoons series including SpongeBob, Dudley Puppy and Fanboy and Chum Chum, will take on players from all 30 MLB teams, delivering not only an unforgettable baseball gaming experience, but also the first to fully take advantage of Kinect for Xbox 360. Playthrough One: We are going to focus on all the "in-game" Achievements. First, go into the options menu and set the difficulty to "Rookie" and the innings to 9. Now return to the Main menu and select "Pickup Game". Select any MLB Team and Nicktoons characters, however make sure to choose a pitcher with a 5-Star Fastball. You also want to make yourself the Home Team. Once in the game, pitching a Perfect Game is quite easy. If you chose a pitcher with a 5-Star fastball, simply use the fastball for every pitch by pressing the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/a.png button. Pitching is all about timing, so make sure to get the pitching meter either in the green or perfect. After a few tries, you should get the timing right and within no time, master the pitching meter. Another tip when it comes to pitching is to pitch the corners of the strike zone, or the edges of the batters "Hot Zone". Pitching a Perfect Game will land you 7 Achievements ('Three Up Three Down', 'Quality Start', 'Complete Game', 'Straight to the Show', 'King of the Hill', 'Winning Ways' and 'Perfect Game'), but you are also going to want and strikeout 18 batters for the 'One for the Books' Achievement as well as strikeout at least one batter using the Turbo for the 'Throwing Smoke' Achievement. When you are on offense you will want to score as many runs as possible, making sure to score a run on a bunt ('Squeezed In There'), load the bases ('Locked and Loaded'), hit a Grand Slam ('Life is Grand'), hit a Home Run with the Pitcher ('Im Not That Easy'), get a hit with every player ('Spreading the Love'), hit multiple Home Runs with at least one player in consecutive at bats ('I Make This Look Good'), scoring 10 Runs Batted In with One Player ('One Man Wrecking Crew') and hit for the cycle (Single, Double, Triple and Home Run in one-game with on player). You also need to score as many runs as you can in the first inning so the CPU will replace the starting pitcher ('Welcome to the Majors!'). This can be anywhere from 5 - 10 runs scored in te first as there is not set limit. Once the game ends you should unlock most of the Achievements. Now return to the Main Menu, select options and change the innings to 3. Playthrough Two: Now we are going to focus on Tournament mode. Select Tournament from the main menu and choose any team. The Tournament consist of seven best of three rounds. The first six rounds are versus MLB Teams, with the final round being against the Nicktoons Team. Simply win the first two games of each round and you will advance to the next Team. Once you advance through all seven rounds and beat the Nicktoons Team in the Championship, the Achievement unlocks. Note that the teams that you beat in the tournament count towards the 'All-American', 'National Pride' and 'A Full Deck' Achievements, so be sure to keep track of which teams you beat in the Tournament. Playthrough Three: Next we will get the Achievement for winning a 9-inning Showdown mode game. Showdown mode is simply the MLB All-Star game, except it is MLB Stars vs. Nictoons Stars. Simply choose either team and to maximize your time, simply bunt every time you are on offense allowing the CPU to throw you out. Playthrough Four: Next we will focus on Distance Derby mode. In Distance Derby you must beat any Nicktoons character in a first to 100,000 point contest. You earn points by hitting Home Runs and hitting bonus Targets. The key is to hit 3 Targets in a row, followed by the Stadium Scoreboard for a 30,000 point bonus. Make sure to select a Home Run hitting slugger like Albert Pujols or Ryan Howard. Pretty much any MLB player with a 5-Star Power rating. Once you score 100,000 points and win the Distance Derby, the Achievement unlocks. Next you want to play another Distance Derby game, but this time you want to play it a little differently then you just did. There are baseball cards that you need to acquire from the Distance Derby mode for the 'A Full Deck' Achievement. They require you to hit a certain amount of Targets. If you were to play the game regularly, you would end the game before you hit the required 20 Targets, so you want to make sure that if you hit two targets in a row, to swing and miss a pitch so the consecutive streak bonus resets. Make sure to keep track of how many targets you hit and once you reach 20 simply finish the Distance Derby. Mop up: Now comes the grinding part of unlocking Achievements. You need to beat the remaining MLB Teams that you have yet to beat for the 'All-American', 'National Pride' and 'A Full Deck' Achievements. Simply use the attached MLB Team checklist and check off each team as you beat them. During this time you will also need to play in each of the 6 Nicktoons Stadium and hit a Turbo Home Run in each. As well as turn a Double Play for the 'Twice as Nice' Achievement, win a game with a walk-off Home Run for the 'Walk This Way' Achievement and win a game by only hitting singles for the 'Grinder Ball' Achievement. Single-Player (Offline) Achievements (35): http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1913/+USF8w==.jpgThree Up Three Down - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Have a 1, 2, 3 inning with a single pitcher in any single-player mode Simply get 3 batters out in any single inning without giving up a hit or walk. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1913/+oV01Q==.jpgWalk This Way - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Hit a walk-off home run Simply start a 3-inning game as the Home team. Make sure the game is tied going into the bottom of the 3rd inning and hit a Home Run to win the game. Easiest method is to activate Turbo by pressing :rtbut:and then hitting the pitch with or . *Note: You change the inning length in the options menu. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1913/-OZuCg==.jpg Quality Start - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Go six or more innings and allow less than four earned runs with your starter See 'Perfect Game'. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1913/-QaWmQ==.jpgComplete Game - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Have your starting pitcher go the distance in a 9-inning game See 'Perfect Game'. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/+2WMRg==.jpgStraight to the Show - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Win a 9-inning game in a single-player game See 'Perfect Game'. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1913/UPi8WHQ=.jpgKing of the Hill - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Make it through a game without falling behind once See 'Perfect Game'. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1913/UP8-ujg=.jpgWinning Ways - 5http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Win a Single-Player Game See 'Perfect Game'. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1913/-iGClw==.jpgPerfect Game - 100http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Pitch a perfect game (9-innings) You must get all 27 Batters faced out without giving up a hit or walk. The easiest method is to choose a pitcher with a 5-Star Fastball like SpongeBob Squarepants. Simply use the Fastball (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/a.png) and make sure to get either a full green pitching meter or a perfect pitching meter. The timing is not very hard and with practice, can be done quite easily. Another good tip is to "work the corners", meaning pitch the ball in the lower corners of the strike zone or on the edges of the batters "Hot Zone", that way if the batter does hit it, it will most likely be a ground ball, which is easier to field and record the out. *Note: if you pitch a Perfect game, you will also unlock 'Quality Start', 'Complete Game', 'Straight to the Show', 'King of the Hill' and 'Winning Ways'. Cannot be obtained in Showdown mode. Edited September 30, 2011 by TealPavelski
TealPavelski
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/-l6ecA==.jpgOne for the Books - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Have a single pitcher record at least 18 strikeouts in a single game if you use the method above for 'Perfect game', you can strike out 18 batters quite easily. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/-H+XxQ==.jpgBlowout - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Win by 10 or more runs Just like the pitching meter, hitting is all about timing as well. This Achievement is not as difficult as it sounds. Simply aim your hits by holding the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/ls.png in any direction (left or right is best) and simply use the contact swing (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/a.png) to get hits. If you can get the timing of the CPU pitcher down, hitting is not very difficult and you can score runs at will. *Note: It is also wise to use your Turbo by pressing the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/rt.png whenever you have runners on the bases and hit as many Home Runs as possible. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/UPlcoOc=.jpgGrinder Ball - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Win by only hitting singles Much like the 'Walk this Way' Achievement, start a 3-inning game as the Home team. Do not allow the CPU Team to score any runs and in the bottom of the 3rd, simply get 3-4 singles in a row by holding the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/ls.png in any direction (left or right is best) and using the contact swing (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/a.png). Make sure your players do not run past first base. Simply score 1 run to end the game for the Achievement to unlock. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/-sdnvw==.jpgWorld Champion - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Win the Tournament Simply win the Tournament. You must play 7 Teams (including the Nicktoons team) and you have to win 2 games per team, so 14 Wins. *Note: These wins count towards 'All-American', 'National Pride' and 'A Full Deck'. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/-75m4w==.jpgTwice as Nice - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Pull off a Double Play Simply allow the CPU team to get a runner on first by way of a walk or a hit. Pitch low balls to the next batter in an attempt to get a ground ball to an infielder. Field the ball, throw to second (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/y.png) and then to first (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/b.png). *Note: You can also catch a ball in the Outfield, press http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/rt.png to activate Turbo and throw the ball back to the base the CPU runner is at in an attempt to double him off. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/-8F6BA==.jpgGot 'em All - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Hit for the cycle You must get a Single, Double, Triple and Home Run with the same player. There is no way in the game to keep track of what hits your players have, so simply write down what your players have or just focus on one player (IMO, the easiest method). The Triple is the hardest hit to get because you have to run all the way to 3rd before the CPU throws you out. The best method to get a Triple is to hit a ball into the Left/Center Field or Right/Center field gap and using Turbo, run from first to third. *Note: Use the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/ls.png to tell your player which base to run towards. I.E., point the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/ls.pnghttp://tf2lobby.com/img/icons/blackArrowUp.png to have your runner run from first to second and then point the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/ls.pnghttp://www.klauskobec.com/images/arrow-left-black.gif to have your runner run from second to third. Make sure you are in a 9-inning game so you will have more at-bats/opportunities to get hits. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/+hyNGg==.jpgOne Man Wrecking Crew - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Have a single player account for 10 or more RBI in one game You must earn 10 RBI (Runs Batted In) with one player in one game. Simply use the player that you used for the 'Got 'em All' Achievement and it makes it much easier. *Note: Make sure you are in a 9-inning game so you will have more at-bats/opportunities to get hits. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/+-x1iQ==.jpgSpreading the Love - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Have all starters on your team earn at least one hit in Single Player mode Simply have all 9 of your batters get at least one hit. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1913/UPt9qVI=.jpgWelcome to the Majors! - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Chase the opposing team's starting pitcher in the first inning Simply score enough runs/get enough hits in the first inning that the CPU changes pitchers. theEVOL1
THANK YOU FOR THIS!! I already got the 1k, but I feel that a guide should be written by someone who knows how to actually play the game and not by any random person that finds out the achievements for the game and runs to the site and posts the descriptions just to reserve their "rights" to make a guide. Thank you for your time and effort TealPavelski.
litepink
You don't have to add this in the guide or anything (good to not over explaing some things), just a note to anyone reading this: For the "win with only singles", you could do it a variety of ways. What I did was got a single, got another hit which was heading for a double for sure, but held the runner going to first, and the runner AT first came all the way around. So, could be two hits, could be less if you get a single and steal second then score on two groundouts or something, etc. etc. Looking good so far =). I hate when people write a guide just to write the guide and they have no idea how to play the game, or they write it 2 weeks before the game comes out. I too have 1K in this game and I just want to help fellow Achievement Whores! lol
vithzeral
I suggest clarifying that Showdown mode doesn't count for "Straight to the Show", so best case is playing 2 9-inning games and 37 3-inning games plus one round of Distance Derby. If you get the perfect game first time 3 hours is very do-able, but I've found that even mediocre hitters will once in a while hit a (full green) pitch on the corner unless it is a "perfect", and the best hitters can still hit a "perfect" unless it is out of the strike zone, which of course risks giving turbo if you miss the perfect. CrustyDirtDemon
This is a much better guide, however 3 hours is still a low estimate IMO. 4 hours Minimum, 6-7 hours max if you suck. 5 is the perfect REALISTIC number!!!!!!! Double H for life ya HEARD!!!!!!! Think about it, you have to play a 7 game tournament, best out of three. So win 2 games for each team, and each game take around 4 minutes at its fastest. Thats roughly 56 minutes, not even counting loading times, and that is only one achievement. Not to mention you will need to play another 24 games at 3 innings games. Sooooo, 3 Hours is a REALLY, REALLY, LOW 1K TIME FRAME!!! Edited September 15, 2011 by CrustyDirtDemon

CrustyDirtDemon
Can someone remind me how many baseball cards there are? I returned my rented copy and I forget how many there are. I thought there was 56, but after thinking about it that sounds way to low. Considering there is one card per achievement, and there are 35 cheevos (34 since there is no card for getting all cards). Not to mention you get a card for beating each team, also there are 4 cards for the 5,10,15,and 20 targets during a distance home run derby. So with that said there should be 68. However, I own the game so when I get home from work I can verify how many to be exact.
bLaKgRaVy
Why doesn't anyone believe me that I got 1K in around 3 hours? I believe you... :-) This is like your Madden 12 guide; not necessarily needed (especially if you know sports), but welcome nonetheless. I'll be using it when I rent the game (as I did with Madden). CrustyDirtDemon
Why doesn't anyone believe me that I got 1K in around 3 hours? Because you have to play 39 games (14 games in the tournamet, with 7 teams, at 2 games minimum) at 3 innings each, with load times in b/w. Then you have play another 23 games to finish off the American/National team roster, one of which being a 9 inning game, the other being 3 innnings. Then you have to play another 9 inning showdown game, and lastly the home run derby which takes all of 2-3 minutes. With all that said, last night I played from start to finish and it took right around 5 hours. I never lost a game, I got all random cheevos in one 9 innings game, and the rest in 3, 3 inning games. Played the tourney, then finished off all remaining teams. During which played 3 inning games, played as the home team, would only score one run, followed by bunting every at bat to get thrown out at first. Also had all tuturail menus turned off, and had the game installed on the HDD. With all that in mind, and not having one mess up. I did not have to play even one extra game. I unlocked every achievement as planned on first attempts. IT STILL TOOK a MINIMUM of FIVE HOURS. YES it's quick, but not 2-3 hours quick. Either way it's a REALLY EASY game, so don't get so overworked about how long I KNOW it took vs. HOW LONG you claim it took. At the end of the day, your guide is much better than the hunk of crap originally posted. And the game is already on the shelf collecting DUST! So this should be included in the guide. Perfect example the American Leagues 'Boston Red Sox' did not have "Prince Zuko" aka my pitcher in the Batting line up. However when playing as the National Leagues "Arizona Diamond Backs" "Prince Zuko" aka my pitcher was in the batting line up. Batting last as pitchers normally would. CrustyDirtDemon
Can someone remind me how many baseball cards there are? I returned my rented copy and I forget how many there are. Just booted up the game and there are only 54 cards!

Hmmmmm, I wonder who told you that... Usually when someone adds info to ones guide, to make it actually correct. THEY get SOME CREDIT....But maybe the author...lol is still new to the guide writing formalities... As not being a huge baseball buff, I would not have known this without my friend telling me. So if it wasn’t mentioned in your guide. Those who are Baseball illiterate would have be Dazed and or Confused!
CrustyDirtDemon
And also on a side note, this is only a GUIDE; there is no ROAD MAP function in this GUIDE. Not that it's needed, however I find it amusing how you and the OP from the first guide both titled your thread Achievement Guide and Road Map. LOL This is a good guide, but by no means is a ROAD MAP. FYI, Road Maps tell the player exactly where to start, what cheevos to strive for/expect during the first, second, third games....and etc. Maybe you're planning on adding a Road Map to the guide, even though it isn’t needed. Maybe some supper tards would appreciate it!

I understand there is technically not a roadmap in my guide, but I feel I give a pretty good explanation of all the Achievements and also describe the best way to get all 1K in the quickest time. anthonyd46
I understand there is technically not a roadmap in my guide, but I feel I give a pretty good explanation of all the Achievements and also describe the best way to get all 1K in the quickest time. Here: First go into settings make sure the innings are at 9 and the difficulty is rookie. 1. 9 Inning games: You will be playing two of these. For the first one you want to select showdown mode and pick either the mlb or nicktoons team it does not matter. Try to pitch a perfect game by just hitting corners with your fastball (A button) and get perfect pitches (hold a down till it hits top of meter then let go). If you can get the perfect game you will get that achievement however if even if you let up one or two hits you will def get quality start, three up three down, complete game, one for the books(if you struck out 18 guys), king of the hill, the final showdown, and some other achievements. On the batting side you will want to try to get a guy to hit for the cycle, another guy to score 10 rbis ( just get him up 3 times with the bases loaded and hit a hr), make sure everyone gets a hit, and also make sure one of the runs u score is with a bunt (x button) easiest to do while the bases are loaded. Then play a second 9 inning game this time not in showdown mode and you will get straight to the show. You can try to get only hit singles or walk off home run here too if you like but its not necessary to get it right here because u will be playing a load of 3 inning games. At this point go to the settings and change it to innings 3, rookie difficulty 2. Tournament- Load up a tournament it will be 7 series. The series in this game are best of 3 which means if you win the first 2 games u dont need to play the 3rd but if u lose 1 long as u win 2 it will advance. These 7 teams do count for the play everyone achievements. Also in this mode any game achievements such as singles, walk off home run, etc you didn't get you should get in this mode. Also make sure you switch stadiums each match to the nicktoons stadiums u need to hit a turbo homerun in each which is done by pressing RT then when the screen turns color simply make contact with the ball for a turbo hr. 3. Distance derby- This is pretty easy with one exception. You need 20 targets to unlock the card for an achievement. Pick someone with 5 stars vs estevez (he has a 1 star for power) simply hit 2 targets, miss one on purpose, hit 2 more, and repeat till u hit 20. Then hit as many targets in a row till the game tells you that you are about to win then hit the final target to unlock the card and the achievement. 4. Beating the remaining teams- At this point its just grind city simply mop up any game achievements you dont have. Set up 3 inning games with the CPU as the away team and you as the home. Every game change the team and remember the 7 teams you faced in the tourney you DO NOT have to play again. Use this list and cross off as you go: American League Teams: Athletics Angels Blue Jays Indians Mariners Orioles Rangers Rays Red Sox Royals Tigers Twins White Sox Yankees National League Teams: Astros Braves Brewers Cardinals Cubs D'Backs Dodgers Giants Marlins Mets Nationals Padres Phillies Pirates Reds Rockies That is about it if you are fast you might be able to finish this in under 5 hours but the average so far has been 5 hours give or take.
