xTGMx INF3RNO
Sorry if this has been posted. The release date of ACIV is 26th October 2013 Apparently and will be on both next gen consoles. If that's true that must mean that the consoles will also be released around September/October?
Matt36
No. It says on the poster "Available for Next Gen" and underneath, although close, it says October release. Unrelated. Its mearly stating that the game will be available for next gen and the release date is october. Nice to think next gen will be out then. EDIT; the trailer shows what I mean. But there's a threshold date at some point. AC IV will be available for next-gen and that's out in October. Saints Row IV apparently will not be available for next-gen and that's out in August. So somewhere in between those two dates must be a point where developers/publishers have to actively start planning for availability for next-gen consoles. Not really, next gen dev kits have been around for ages now, that just means that Volition didn't bother developing SRIV for next gen and Ubi did. Ubisoft did the exact same thing with ACIII and the Wii U. Launched it for PS3/360 in October and then Wii U in November. I think that makes ACIV a likely launch title though. I would say the new consoles will likely launch in November. They won't want them coming out too close to xmas or too far out from xmas imo. Nothing says that the games need to be released on all consoles, at the same time. This says next to nothing about the next gen release dates. Michael Fautley
I think it'll be out on a Tuesday over here so maybe the 19th? I say the 5th October, this way gives the partner more reason to buy it for my birthday lol.

bblcreator8790
I'll probably wait to get this on the Xbox 720, even if I don't get the next console for a few months after launch. ACIII was enough of a disappointment for me that I'm not concerned about getting this game right when it releases. I have a huge enough backlog as it is anyway. Matt36
I'll play it on the XBOX 3, but I'll buy it when I see it cheap enough, just to complete the collection on my shelf of 360 games.

Miss Allen86
More than likely I'll be buying a Xbox One, AC4 and Dead Rising 3 day one. I'm kinda bummed I'll have to wait to play one of the most anticipated titles of 2013 while others enjoy it on there 360's in Oct. Doe's anyone know if the next-gen version will be getting the same Collector's editions?
Pscipolnitsa
Nope, that just means that it will release that date for the current consoles, then it will release immediately with the next gen consoles for them.

GamerPerfection
I'm pretty sure that MS announced at E3 that the console will be available in November 2013. Also the free Gold games are coming every two weeks up until November, the launch of the new console.
