FatalDeathSG45
http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/technologyinvesting/microsoft-is-scrapping-internet-explorer/ar-AA9ThZo?ocid=ansQuartz11 I honestly was NOT expecting to find an article about this. Internet Explorer will soon be replaced by, according to the article, "the new flagship browser for Windows, which was announced in January and codenamed Project Spartan." ...so Master Chief's involved with Microsoft's new web browser? mcnichoj
I wonder if that will conflict with programs that are built on Explorer such as stuff like Steam.
Mr Allen
I wonder if that will conflict with programs that are built on Explorer such as stuff like Steam. Probably, but I'm sure they'll find ways round it.
Aj6627
The headline is a little wrong. IE11 is sticking around. Project Spartan will just be the primary browser going forward.
Manumanu
Now it's named Microsoft Edge
ginge88isfun
Internet Explorer has had its day. With browsers like Firefox, Chrome etc, Microsoft really need to try and compete with something that can match the performance of those said browsers, something that Internet Explorer just couldn't do effectively. Aj6627
This title is still a misleading pile of shit. IE is still going to continue to be in Windows. Edge is a new browser that doesn't support activeX plugins.
littlejay
They are replacing IE but it will be in windows if you search for it due to lots of software and sites that still require it.

GAMERJET
Internet Explorer was always pretty poor IMO. I wish we could get a choice during OS install on what we want instead of all the bundled Microsoft stuff.
Wolfito
Maybe you dont see it, but a lot of sites or programs still use it to work correctly; so like xp, is hard to just kill it and put Edge
