Based on my feelings the first time playing the game it's no competition for first place... Final Fantasy VII.

Second is harder to choose, but Star wars: Knights of the old republic was a brilliant game and would probably be my 2nd favourite (if it matters)

Edit: Looking through the replies I'm not really surprised to see FFVII is currently in the lead. :p

Nintendo 64 - Goldeneye, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Conkers Bad Fur Day.

Sega Mega Drive/Genesis - Tazmania, Bubsy.

Gameboy Advance/Colour - Pokemon Chaos Black, Pokemon Blue.

PC - Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness, Unreal Tournament 2004, Jewel Quest 3 Solitaire.

Other genres I wanna mention favourites of.

NiGHTS into Dreams First Game I ever bought and I loved it to death just wish my Saturn (Don't Laugh) hadn't died on me.

Also Zelda: OoT, Goldeneye, Paper Mario 1 & 2, Rock Band 2, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Mirrors Edge, Halo 2, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory are also some of my favorite games.

Either Paper Mario or Goldeneye for N64. Mario Kart 64 and Nightfire for GameCube come in pretty close, though.

Good call with Goldeneye. +1 for you. Fuck it. +100 for you, simply because you mentioned Mario Kart 64 as well.

Anyway, I'd say EITHER (I can't choose, so shoot me) Final Fantasy X, Grand Theft Auto III or Goldeneye. Metal Gear Solid 4 is pretty damn good too, but I don't wish to overcomplicate things.
