How is your MY PLAYER progress?

i felt the same way but you have to focus on 1 thing so that you can earn points faster.... for example: I'm a point guard.. only averaging c+/b- the lil bit amount of points i earned I kept putting them on mid range jump shot. its easy to get open for a quick spot up shot and high rate of scoring. and also focused on assist which raises your in game score alot. i did this format for a few games and then i was able to score 25+ a game on 6 min quarters wihtout starting and quckly got my mid range to 85 and now i can shoot with more confidence knowing i will most likely score.

i'm don't know what position your playing but just focus on easier things to do for that position and then you can fill out the rest from all the points you earn early

I don't do much of the My Player thing but my brother does his and he averages around 30 points per game and 10 assist A+ all in 12 minute Qtrs. Gets around 300 VC per game. Not sure if difficulty has to do with getting more VC but he is also in All-Star diff.

I've been playing only 5 minute quarters and get 300 too. guess it will take a season or two until player starts to shine.

BTW - there is a solution if you are too frustrated and can't wait until you can unlock more towards your player. You can spend MSP and by coin. I know what your saying," why? I just spent 60 on the game." Or " that would take the fun out of it." This is just an option. You dont have to spend a lot. But if MY PLAYER is your mode and will dump months into the game. Could be worth it.

Just saying

Yeah so time length and difficulty doesn't seem to matter.

I bought 10k for 240 MSP and bought the cheapest thing so I can get the achievement. I will leave the rest to him.

I wanted to buy the Jordan package but he is a short PG with low Dunk rating. Which sucks because I wanted that achievement. (Time to make a tall SG) lol

That's the exact same thing I do is play on HoF, and play 12 minute quarters! Get A+ all the time, except I average about 40 pts, and 25 ast! It's not that hard getting VC when you do this!

So, the first night I set up rosters, My Player, and my BULLS Franchise. I usually play 82 game season in Chise. But I have to say, My Player mode is so addicting, it may take the cake over Chise this year!

Last night I had a key game against the Lakers{ I'm Rockets}, and let me tell you it was so intense, I felt as if it were a real game. I won in OT by 2. I hit a last second shot to win. Both teams draining everything.

You know a video game has something special when you have moments like that!

Yes! I love it when games get intense and the crowd is LOUD, it is like watching the real thing.

I'm at the end of the first year of MyPlayer. I got drafted by the 76ers and I was starting after the 8th game of the season BUT if you sim any games you will go to the bench. It's like they don't want rookies starting every game. -_- But I'm doing amazing off the bench. 30 pts, 12 assists, 10 steals, 5 rebounds, 4 turnovers on averge per game. A lot easier in this game to get assists and if you know whose shot release to use, it's easy to score also.

I'm about halfway through my first season.

I got drafted #2 overall by Charlotte, and about two weeks into the season, I told the GM to trade Kemba and a benchwarmer for Michael Beasley so I can get the starting position easily. And thanks to that decision, I was putting up high assists games for the first two months of the season, (The highest assist game I got so far was 25. Thanks 2K, for bringing the cheese back into the P&R :p) until Beasley and Ben Gordon got hurt, it crippled the team a LOT and as a result, we went through a 16 game losing streak, and after we finally won a game to snap that streak, we lost five more.

And the constant losing was getting on my nerves, so I eventually gave in and demanded a trade to New Orleans since they're currently in 2nd in their division behind Miami. But instead, I got traded to OKC for Eric Maynor and a 1st round pick. As of right now, I'm the 6th man with 27 minutes on the rotation. And now that I have finally started spending my VC on my shooting attributes/jumpshots, I can put up 20+ point and 15+ assist games with little to no problems now that I have Durant and Westbrook draining nearly every shot.

I chose a SG - 3Pt Specialist, and I average 50 points a game with just my character

I am about 30 games in, 5 minute quarters, have not bought any VC, yet I've earned over 55,000VC with just MyPlayer/MyCareer mode. I haven't used it all to max my stats out, I'm only at a 76 overall, I've used it to buy a bunch of useless stuff...and achievements.

There is a VC exploit currently that has not been patched.

I'm loving MyCareer this year! I had a shitty showcase game and only went 19th to the magic, but quickly proving how wrong the other 18 teams were in not picking me up earlier! ;)

Nah, seriously, struggling to put up really good ratings, but have had a few good games and have made the starting 5 after a 51 point game against the Cavs... We are currently 9-10, but starting to become a better unit... Only lost by 1 to LAL... Only @ 187,000 fans on twitter atm.. Anyone know how long it will roughly take for he 2million?

You'll get it way before the Hall of Fame achievement, so don't stress bro.

I got drafted 8th overall by the Toronto Raptors as a shooting guard, but I made my guy too short and I'm having trouble so I'm going to have to reroll him a couple inches taller. Got a B+ in the rookie showcase just shooting open three pointers and getting some rebounds. I'm a three point specialist so my defense blows, gotta get my player rating with points and assists.

In general are people playing mostly with 12 minute key-games only or 5 minute games? I've been doing only key-games at 12 minutes a piece but was thinking about switching to playing every game on only 5 minute timers... not sure which would be better for me in the long run trying to get achievement for hall of fame fastest

Actually dispite the minor changes that bug me its actually pretty good if you play well. I have an A- rating, been on the cover of 2 magazines and did a commercial for me. Also Jordan has stepped up and promoted me more. And I'm getting tweets from Bow Wow and other celebs wanting to hang out. Too bad you can't reply.

After reading this thread I decided to focus on a few key areas to improve my points.

It is working a treat. I'm only boosting mid-range shooting, passing and defensive rebounds. Still not a starter after 24 games, but off the bench I'm getting 15+ pts, 20+ assists and 5-10 rebounds.

I have to restart mine after working on it for 18-20 hours plus playing 10 minute quarter matches in Association for VC and now because of 2K's stupid "ONLINE SERVER SAVING" my MyCareer save went offline. 17000 VC earned with hard work and spent now for nothing and I bought 10000 to amp up my dunking game. Now I feel like I don't even wanna play this anymore.
