DoM cAbAn
So... my friend and I decided to calculate our accuracy. We divided the number of hits by the number of misses. I have 39,480 hits and 130,553 misses. When I divide them, I get .3024059, which is a 30.24% accuracy. But the leaderboards says I have a 23.21% accuracy. That's a 7% difference. When my friend did his, it was also around a 7% difference. Anyone know what's going on here or if I'm doing something wrong...?
adriano28
i never realised that since i never really figured it out legitly. Now that i have. I have 11803 hits (at this moment as i am about to play it) and 50149 misses. Divide them and you get 0.2353 (23.53%) when i currently have 19.05% accuracy. I am just glad it's not as bad as yours, but there is definitly something wrong with the accuracy system.
Freddie Bateman
Probably something to do with grenades, throwing knives maybe even killstreak rewards. The bullets or equipment might not come up on the leaderboards as a bullet fired but might contribute to the overall accuracy percentage.
Bowman2071
It's quite simple actually. Add your two numbers, i'll just use the OP's stats. 39,480 + 130,553 = 170,033 Then you divide your hits with the total number of bullets fired. In this case: 39,480 / 170,033 = 0.23219022 And that's where they are getting your 23.21% from.
DoM cAbAn
Hahahah whoops, that's it. Now I feel like a jackass. Thanks for clearing that up.
Coheedd
I believe that using a knife on someone counts as a negative accuracy. That's why people on CoD4 leader boards had like -100% accuracy. Bowman2071
Maybe they re-did how they were going to do the leaderboards for MW2 though. As far as mathematics go, the accuracy is only for bullets fired.
G315T
Are you sure knives count against accuracy? If you do The Pit, knife kills on the targets increase your accuracy score by not counting as a bullet fired...

Cav Clayton
Bowman has already shown it, But you guys are dividing the MISSES by the HITS instead of dividing the TOTAL BULLETS FIRED by the HITS.
