igor5618
Just to make sure, this Aerocache is in F2P game but is it reachable in free planes? Bing search from game isn't too accurate, I found on YT that this was altitude over 33k ft and closest I was near cache was 6.6 km away when I teleported right over Mauna Loa and couldn't find it. Is it in game that high to??
Maca0716
I highly doubt it, it would require a huge distance to gain that height if its possible.
DarkMellie
The smartest way to gain height in an aircraft is to circle upwards. Just tilt left or right, pull the nose back until you find the right mix of ascension and engine power. You'll essentially rise up in a spiral cone. igor5618
Exactly as guy in glider did . I'll try or wait for prices drop, 1800 MSP for 2 planes and 1600 for terrain is funny...
FiReStOrM1604659682
I was reluctant to buy the extra content at first, so I was messing around doing various achievements first. I tried to do this one with the PT-17 Stearman, I managed to get it up to I think it was 22,150 or something like that before I got bored and gave up.. Took too much farting about. Got it totally piss easy with the P-52 Mustang though. Did some checking.. I made a save at a hight of 37k in the PT-17 Stearman and tried it on another Gamertag. It worked fine. Will work great for High Flying Glider. Even awarded 32k Achievement instantly. I can't remember where it is, I'm sorry. I just put the plane near where I thought I remembered it being.. Just try and glide to it if it IS indeed close by to here. I also put the planes fuel to low to help (it's weight). If this is of no help at all let me know exact position and I will ajust it for you. EDIT: Here is another one, going other direction at 39k. It's just starting to fall at 39,100ft. Trim is all the way back btw so ajust accordingly. I will feel really stupid if this is absolutely no where near the aerocache. even if it's not and you show me exacty location at I can put it right next to it so no biggy. 39k PT-17 Stearman Savefile Edited March 21, 2012 by FiReStOrM^
surfacevice
The Mustang will obviously be the easiest one to use but it is a purchase plane.
igor5618
Save files worked and 32k chieevo poped imidiatelly but still wasn't able to get aerocache, I lost too much altitude and cache as I saw on YT is right above top of Mauna Kea volcano. FiReStOrM1604659682
Right above the volcano? alright i'll make a new save file. Idealy a screenshot of where it is on the map would be better, but i'll put it above the volcano.
igor5618
I'm talking about bottom mountain on main island - Hawaii. FiReStOrM1604659682
High Flying Glider: 38,000ft in the Icon A5. Even though it's not likely it will be required to glide far, I chose this plane as it's much lighter than the Stearman, and has the same glide ratio (10.0:1). I saved it right above the volcano as shown. High Flying Glider - Icon A5 @ 38k

TerreBullet
http://www.filedropper.com/curvature saved flight for curvature of the earth in the Icon A5. ENJOY THE MASSIVE MASSIVE DROP!!!!!! I'm suprised by how graphically impressive the game is at that height. There's a major bug with the A5 over water explained here http://msflightforum.myfastforum.org/about243.html Edited April 27, 2012 by TerreBullet

Can you tell me how you get there? Also, would you mind if you move icon a5 just little ahead with same altitude (say 5nm radius of aerocache)? I tried several times but miss aerocache very closely ..the best I could do is 32900ft and i missed it just above my head! http://www.filedropper.com/curvature saved flight for curvature of the earth in the Icon A5. There's a major bug with the A5 over water explained here http://msflightforum.myfastforum.org/about243.html Good job, but its surely not possilbe to travel from the Honolulu island to the volcano island where we can achieve "High Flying Glider" aerocache! By the time I reached mid-way (Kahului island?) icon a5 was dropped to 14k altitude
gucha
It is easy to get the aerocache with the free red tails p51. It should be available for a limited time, so download it quickly.
