Bearded Bugs
Not sure why this method is used when you can get about 100 miles every hour driving the Pikes Peak Full track...
kalvaza
Not sure why this method is used when you can get about 100 miles every hour driving the Pikes Peak Full track... Bit repetitive and people are lazy. Anyway, I'm getting my achievement on the same bit, but instead of damaging my car, ramming the gate and driving off where the gate used to be, I just aim between that and the armco on the next bend. I'm not slowed down by damage, I get a bit of extra road to drive off (a peak speed of 82mph before it resets) and I calculated it at an average speed of 50mph. I assume these 60+mph averages are slightly exaggerated or poorly calculated.
Bearded Bugs
Bit repetitive and people are lazy. Lazy bastards! It's such an awesome game I don't get why people don't want to play it, especially on such an amazing track with the amazing hill-climb cars. Munkeh111
Thanks for this, I've started it, but since I don't have a wired controller, I am going to have to supervise it... but I can just play PS3 while I let this run

Bearded Bugs
What kind of car is that? It's probably best to use a Toyota Celica or a Toyota Tacoma.

Bearded Bugs
what does the odometer go up in? im gona asume kilometers??? If I remember rightly you can either use metric or imperial units for the speedometer, so I would assume the odometer would change to match the selection? BULLITUARY
I don't think i'm going to have much trouble getting the 1000 miles. I beat the game did almost all the races on easy and clubman and i'm already at like 700 and i still have the Global Rally Championship to do. MINKISS
thanks for the tip im doing it now so i can get these 2 mile achievements out of the way heres what i did 1) drive to the third checkpoint and make the first turn 2) now look for a sign on the right side of the road its white with a blue arrow pointing right 3)now back up so the back of the car is parrell to the sign and drive off the side off the road (keep finger on RT to make sure the car does what its soppose to) and the game should set the car so it keeps driving off the road and resetting

chrisk62
Yeah worked great for me. Apart from first time i attempted it as dumb me should have remembered to turn the vibration off on the controller so the damn thing would not have trickeled off the couch, onto the floor and causing the rubber band to fire off OOPS !!! Chaz Of Sparta
Annoying achievement!! They should have made the career mode longer!! I think that they should've made it count for all modes, as the championships are quite long and not having it count towards your 1000 miles achievement is a bit annoying. erod550
Worked like a charm. Had to try it twice because the first time I used scotch tape and that didn't stick for very long. Used packing tape the 2nd time and it stayed going all night and had the achievement when I got up in the morning. Yes, I know rubber bands would have been easier but I couldn't find any, lol.
