ILOVEBAY0n37T4
The best video game soundtrack ever is SONIC R. Totally amazing soundtrack. Close behind it would be the soundtrack to Metropolis Street Racer. Bayonetta also has some amazing tracks in it.
Cann0nSen5ei
Pretty much anything from Fallout 3's GNR The ambient music in Minecraft, and the music discs in the game by C418 Virtually all the Metroid music. Oh, and the start screen music from Crysis 3 which reminds me of Metroid Prime's theme music.

Wolfenstein 3D Doom Doom II Quake Quake II Unreal Tournament Serious Sam: The First Encounter Serious Sam: The Second Encounter Serious Sam 3: BFE Painkiller For current-ish gen games, I give my votes to: Halo series Max Payne 3 Battlefield 3 Mirror's Edge NFS: Most Wanted (first one)
njdevils17
Mafia 2 had a great soundtrack as it really fit the setting and time period of it well. I also enjoyed the soundtrack for Dead Rising 2 during the psychopath battles.
Rymt
For me, its got to be Halo hands down. Really gives you that perfect sense of emotion as if you are right there too. Just great. UCanCallMeDuckey
I was a little upset when I found out that Halo 4 wasn't going to have the same composer, since the music of the game is such a huge part of setting the atmosphere. However I understand them trying to make it their own, and I really did end up enjoying the Halo 4 soundtrack more than I expected I would. Mercury
For me it's easy. My "triforce" of games: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasty VII, and Halo: Combat Evolved. Skyrim is definitely up there, that music was fantastic, and honestly, so is Minecraft. Hands-down some of the most peaceful (and somehow sad) music I've ever heard. I think most of my favorites come from the SNES era of gaming though. Far to many great soundtracks to list. Nevander
Well at least we can agree on something We also agree about Defiance. Game looks sweet. Been wanting to get into MMOs but never knew where to start. Definitely not WoW, but Defiance looks like it's right up my ally.
