Techa
This is my first attempt at one of these. Please bare with me :3 Estimated Achievement Difficulty: Around bout 4-5. It's mostly just about finishing the game and achieving certain things within the game that are not too hard. The bonus dungeons can get a little tricky unless you are high level with excellent equipment. Estimated time for 200G: Around 30 hours at most. Offline: 18 (200G) Online: 0 Minimum Playthroughs: 1 but you can do 2 if you want to do one as the speed run and other run as the more relaxed one to do any other achievements. Missable Achievements: Technically that would be Fast to the Finish which requires you to finish the game in under 8 hours. Step 2 and 3 of the road map can be done in any order or mixed around. The order is just my preference. When you finish the game you can continue in a freeroam style. Finishing the game allows you access to a special dungeon. ROAD MAP Step 1 for 40G. 50G if finishing in 8 hours or less: Playing through the game and finishing the story. These come from playing through and finishing the game. They are easy and cannot be missed under any circumstances. If you are trying to finish the game in under 8 hours then that is another 10G up for grabs. Step 2 for 70G: Miscellaneous achievements. Fair few of these will naturally come just from playing. They involve things such as killing X amount of enemies, acquiring Y amount of gil, and such. Step 3 for 80G: Bonus dungeons! At this point you should easily be high levelled and have excellent equipment already. The four bonus dungeons you get throughout the game are not too hard, and you can level up and get equipment plus stat boosting items from them. Labyrinth of time can be tricky though. Unmissable. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png Fast to the finish - 10G I suggest using this walkthrough to plan out your route inorder to finish the game in under 8 hours - http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/937909-final-fantasy-anniversary-edition/faqs/51490 Miscellaneous Achievements http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png Monster Mash - 5G 10 monsters should be easily defeated within the first few minutes, unless you are avoiding battles. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png Monster Mayhem - 10G 1000 monsters would easily be defeated by the end of a normal playthrough unless doing an 8 hour speedrun. In that case then you would likely get this much killed from the extra dungeons. If you still don't get this after, then just go to the first area of the game and just walk around and kill things. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png Monster Massacre - 20G 5000 monsters would easily be defeated by the end of a normal playthrough unless doing an 8 hour speedrun. In that case then you would likely get this much killed from the extra dungeons. If you still don't get this after, then just go to the first area of the game and just walk around and kill things. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png 10% Gillionare - 10G 100,000 Gil is fairly easy to get as you can easily get a fair bit of gil from chests and monsters in higher level areas. The bonus dungeons are a good source for extra gil. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png 10K - 10G Should easily get 10,000 steps in the speedrun. If you don't then you would easily get it from doing other achievements and bonus dungeons. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png Globetrotter - 5G You possibly might get this in your speedrun, but if you don't have this then check the map (press select + b on the overworld) and take note of any towns you possibly missed. Alternatively use this map here - http://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/920240-final-fantasy-i-and-ii-dawn-of-souls/faqs/33606 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png Half-minute Hacker - 10G Get on your ship and tap and hold the screen with one finger and use the other finger to tap the screen 23 times. Works on iPhone version, so hopefully it works on this to. Takes a bit of luck and skill to get the puzzle done quick enough but is doable. If having no luck with it then use this - http://www.ic-net.or.jp/home/takaken/e/15pz/index.html Basically take a photo of the puzzle you get, quickly pause, use the program to work out answer, then do the solution on FF. Bonus/Extra dungeons http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png Defeated Warmech - 20G This monster can be encountered when going after Tiamat, in the Flying Fortress. It has a low chance to appear though. Can also be found in the Labrynth of Time. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png Soul of KOs - 10G Each elemental lord you defeat will unlock a dungeon. Basically you unlock four extra dungeons. Defeat every boss in every dungeon (you will need to run some more then once) and you will get the achievement. If you are fairly strong before you attempt this then it will be a breeze. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2362/ievement.png Out of Time - 10G This is the fun part. You need to defeat every form of Chronodia. You must defeat Chronodia with certain amounts of blue/red seals from the dungeon. I suggest defeating it with no blue seals, and then each attempt after getting one more blue seal then previous. The reason is because the more blue seals you have, the stronger it gets. By defeating it with low blue seals, you get rare equipment that can help. Here is a guide if you need help - http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/937909-final-fantasy-anniversary-edition/faqs/49563 -UPDATE- This should help with people trying to clear the 4 extra dungeons. Earthgift Shrine: [4 Bosses] repeat 4 times 2-HEADED DRAGON - (HP: 4500; Item: Bard Tunic) CERBERUS - (HP: 4000; Item: Kotetsu) AHRIMAN - (HP: 4000; Item: Dry Ether) ECHIDNA - (HP: 4800; Item: X-Potion) Hellfire Chasm [4 Bosses]repeat 2 times Dungeon 5 SCARMIGLIONE - (HP: 4000) Frist Form / (HP: 7046; Item: Lunar Curtain) Second Form CAGNAZZO - (HP: 7968; Item: Light Curtain) Dungeon 10 RUBICANTE - (HP: 15000; Item: Kikuichimonji) BARBARICCIA - (HP: 12950; Item: Bravehearth) Lifespring Grotto [4 Bosses] repeat 2 times Dungeon 5 GILGAMESH - (HP: 8888; Item: Genji Gloves) Dungeon 10 ATOMOS - (HP: 13000; Item: Judment Staff) Dungeon 20 OMEGA - (HP: 35000; Item: Murasame)¡ SHINRYU - (HP: 35000; Item: Ragnarok)* Wisperwind Cove [4 Bosses] no need to repeat Dungeon 10 TYPHON - (HP: 10000; Item: Genji Helm) Dungeon 20 ORTHROS - (HP: 17000; Item: Rune Staff) Dungeon 30 PHANTOM TRAIN - (HP: 9999; Item: Megalixir) Dungeon 40 DEATH GAZE - (HP: 30000; Item: Lightbringer)* * stronger bosses and hard, level 50 or higher recommended Any questions, feedback or suggestions, feel free to post. GDMFS0AB
Nice info. You would be better using the standard format for the roadmap. Go to another guide and copy it and paste it in here with your info. Then detail the steps of your guide. Also the achievements. You have named them and a brief description of what to do. A newcomer to the game would not have a clue what the achievements mean. Where is the description of what the achievement entails, along with the requiements. Example: "Defeated Warmech - 20G This monster can be encountered when going after Tiamat. Technically it is missable but you can save run around till it comes up, kill it, reload game. You get the achievement and have no time lost at all." What is the warmech? Where would you find it(since its possibly missable) How far into the game? Don't take the example literally. I don't want a reply with the answer to it. Just add more info to your guide etc etc. The info is good though. Nice work. Just need to tweek it so that everyone can understand it and what needs to be done. No matter how much or little Final Fantasy knowledge people have. Not to mention there are multiple Warmech's in the Labyrinth of Time. I do agree, every achievement needs a vast more amount of information supplied to go along with it. Cous
I beleive the Warmech has to be from the floating fortress, as there is a rare spawn warmech on the 5th floor before you fight the boss. Killing the boss still lets the warmech spawn but it has a very rare spawn rate, i was running back and forth for about 2 hours till i finally encountered him, additionally hes alot tougher than the war mechs in the Labyrinth of time since the warmechs there only have 2000hp. No, it can be the Warmechs in the Labyrinth of Time as well, that's how I got the achievement. That's the best grinding spot in the game, as they still give you 8000exp per kill. Rainith
and how does one take a picture of the screen? You take this prehistoric (late 20th century) technology called a "digital camera", you point the lens of the "camera" at the screen and you take a picture. *mutter* Damn kids nowadays.... wouldn't know their arse from a tea kettle if their life depended on it.... *mutter*
Achiever TM
I was thinking the same thing lol i just used my GFs phone for the picture. under 30s seems impossbile!! most of the time u need to do it in bout 50-59 turns, my best is only 42 secs has anyone got this achievement yet? any tips? im finding it really hard- next to impossible! this is how I got mine, I used a software to get the solution for me, once game started i memorized first line and quickly pressed the ON/OFF button (screen off mode), then put the first line in the solver, press ON/OFF again memorized 2nd line and ON/OFF again.. did this until i got my board on the solver, it took me less than 5 seconds in game time to put my board in the solver. the program got me the fastest way to solve the puzzle and i asked my wife to dictate me the solution got it on my 3rd time.. my first 2 times i didn't got it by 1 or 2 seconds.. hope this help you
zszaiss
To improve on Achiever's strategy a little bit. Memorize the first row and then hit the back button. Don't exit out - just let the Yes / No prompt sit on your screen. While that prompt is up, the timer on the 16-puzzle pauses. It only covers up the top row (as I recall) so you can take your time entering the last three rows into the solver. I also used the back button to pause the 16-puzzle timer while I queued up 8 or so moves in my memory. Executed the moves really quickly, then paused again, and repeat. It also took me a few tries to really nail the process and get the right set of moves. In general, I kept restarting the puzzle until I found one with moves in the lower 50s to solve, as opposed to some that had 60 or more moves required. BAMF Sangwich
When going for hmh you can press the home button and then hold the the back button. This allows you to quick switch between recent apps, giving you a clear picture of the entire puzzle. Should give you a few more seconds instead of memorizing each line, which for me was the difference between solving it under 30 seconds.
a hippyslayer
Half Minute Hacker was bullshit. You would have to be Stephen Hawking to legitly solve one of those puzzles in under 30 secs.

Ricky the C
A quick note of the Globetrotter achievement. As the windows phone doesn't have a select or B button, to open up the world map you have to hold your finger (or thumb) on the list of your characters on the bottom right of the screen (the button which brings up the main menu).
