Foxofblades
Highly, highly recommend this game, good sir. One of my favorite survival horror games. (Up there with Silent Hill) ^_^
The Undead N7
Ok. I'm going to retract what I said above and present another opinion... The game is fu**ing awesome!! It actually took me playing the game through AND the DLC to really get the vibe of this beast. I'm exactly halfway through my Nightmare playthrough and loving it. Great story and I would have more than happy to pay full price for a copy that included the DLC. I bought this for 4 GBP which is an absolute steal!! Get it, Get it, GET IT!! lol. Etaripdoog
The game is definitely worth getting. The story is deep and the controls are easy to get used to. However, do note that the controls do take some getting used to, as they aren't very similar to any of the mainstream games out there. The DLC are also worth purchasing, as they fill you in on certain things that you did not pick up on in the normal game.
Closing the Sky
I bought the Collectors Edition for 80 bucks the first day it came out, (people thought I was an idiot for getting that over Red Dead) and it was worth every penny. EVERY penny.
Ninja Eagle
I got it for $20. So cheap!
defiance ohio
Gamefly is sending me the game as we speak! Would you all recommend going for the collectibles on the first run through or just forgetting about them and just enjoying the game for the first play?? I can't decide

twinkie
Gamefly is sending me the game as we speak! Would you all recommend going for the collectibles on the first run through or just forgetting about them and just enjoying the game for the first play?? I can't decide keep the collectibles for later. some of them (manuscripts) only appeared on nightmare difficulty that you unlock after finishing the game so don't waste time on that

Buruma
Same. I still have a strong urge to replay this game from time to time. One of the few games that I genuinely enjoyed getting 100% in. None of the achievements really felt like a chore. Well, other than the coffee thermoses perhaps. Floyd.
I found it for $10 used and am very glad I made the purchase. It's an excellently written slow burn, so if you enjoy a good story with a few tense moments, it's a no-brainer.
Ninja Eagle
Exactly, you can get it for less then $20 and it is one of the best games i've played.

ryan9483
An oldie but goodie. Probably around 20 bucks now and worth it. Certainly helps if you're a fan of classic sci fi shows like the Twilight Zone or Twin Peaks.
Jamski
I'm half way through and have stopped as I started to find it very repetitive. Must pick it up again though as it is a great game, looks brilliant, but as I said, it is a bit samey.
redyxia
Just a very good game ... DLC are very well too and I even think that it will be good to buy the new prelude "All american nightmare" =)
