Shaun2k4
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/+UGI4Q==.jpg Just Getting Started - 10G Easy as pie. Easiest way to achievement is to select the "Hell on Earth" episode from the menu and select "I'm too Young to Die". Simply pass the two soldiers infront of you and follow the path until you reach a room which is brown (It will be obviously different from the rest of the level). Along the same wall as the entrance to the room is the door leading to the exit. Open door and click the switch inside. Achievement is yours. If you really can't find the exit, it's right next to the imp in the cage. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/+oB5xw==.jpg Rip and Tear - 20G Slightly harder achievement, same strategy as the "Just getting Started". If you need the extra support, acquire the chainsaw by turning round before you drop off the ledge at the start. The chainsaw in itself has unlimited usage so you can massacre enemies at will. Tips for this achievement, avoid taking too much time through the level. Enemies respawn behind you and will be alerted automatically so while "baiting" enemies round corners may give short term gains, it does also leave you open to the prospect of being attacked from behind. Also be careful of the imp behind the exit door. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/-sJqrQ==.jpg Superior Firepower - 25G This achievement requires you to complete all levels on both episodes in the "Ultra-Violent" skill setting. What this means throughout the game is: - More enemies - Harder enemies in certain places (Spidermastermind in place of Hells Knight on level 6) - More damage from enemies - Less items in certain places (Fewer health packs, berserk packs throughout episodes) The main advise one can give here is to save constantly. You are not punished for saving and reloading a game. Use this on later levels to plan ahead, get a good mindset of levels where you might not be able to get out of firefights and conserve you're better weapons for when you actually need them. Avoid using the BFG9000 unless it's essential and make sure you keep an eye on your health throughout. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/-QObiw==.jpg An Important Looking Door - 10G Simply start up the first level "Entryway" in the "Hell on Earth" episode on any skill. Follow the path infront of you until you reach the brown coloured room. Simply walk over to the switch on the wall and walk onto the rising floor. Turn around and face the wall at the back of this section. Click on it and walk into it. This is your first secret and the achievement should unlock straight away. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/+2CBVA==.jpg From Earth To Hell - 25G Same as "Superior Firepower" for the most part. You can gain this on any difficulty level though so if you need the first play through to become accustom to the levels then this will still unlock. Be aware that you don't need to complete the "hidden" levels (Wolfenstein, Grosse) to gain this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/-yKSPg==.jpg And Back Again - 25G Unlike "Hell on Earth", this episode is only 9 levels long, 8 of which are compulsory. The same advise stands though. Keep your ammo and health supplies high and you should be able to get through this relatively short chapter. You do not have to complete the "hidden" 9th level to gain this. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/-luTYg==.jpg Burning Out of Control - 15G [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuaR8ks_sdQ]YouTube- Doom 2 Achievement Guide (Xbox Live)[/ame] The video basically shows how to get them all in one run. Easiest way to grab is to setup a new game on "I'm too Young to Die" in "Hell on Earth". This minimises the number of enemies you have to hunt down. The items you need include weapons, health bonus, armour bonus, weapon ammo and armour itself. It does not need you to pick up healthpacks or stimpacks. There are 5 secrets in the level: (1) Ontop of the elevator in the hidden passage (2) The room the two imps come out of, same wall as the caged imp (3) Activated by the switch in the room with the raised soldiers (4) Door opened in the (1) switch, next to secret (2). Shotgun out here for your troubles (5) When activating the switch to (4) turn around and run off the edge of the ledge. Land ontop of the white grid and then run to the area in the corridor with the blue bottles of health, a chamber behind this opens to reveal a rocket launcher. There are 9 monsters on the easiest skill: (1) and (2) are infront of you as you start. (3) is in the corridor before the brown room. (4) is on the raised elevator. (5) is the only imp, trapped behind the caged wall. (6) (7) (8) and (9) are all in the room to the left between (1/2) and (3). http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/-Hqa1w==.jpg Destroyer - 20G <Will edit in> http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/-8R3Fg==.jpg The Great Communicator - 10G Simplest way to gain this is to set up a new game on the "Hell on Earth" chapter and set the difficulty to "Ultra-Violent". As soon as the level loads, turn around and grab the chainsaw. Now carefully work your way through the entire level killing the soldiers and imps throughout. There are 21 enemies inside the building without having to go outside (To where the shotgun is located). Here there are 5 more imps bringing the total number of enemies in this level to 26. Make sure it's you that kills them and not other enemies otherwise it will not count to your total. The achievement should pop as soon as you kill number 20. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/-iSPhQ==.jpg A Man and a Half - 10G <Will edit in> http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/-7tr8Q==.jpg You Have Huge Guts - 20G This can be achieved either on level 8 (Tricks & Traps) or in the second secret level (Grosse). If you need help getting to Grosse, the following video should aid you. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuaR8ks_sdQ]YouTube- Doom 2 Achievement Guide (Xbox 360)[/ame] In both cases, the tactic is fairly simple. Use the BFG9000 (To gain this in Tricks and Traps see the below achievement) to weaken the Cyberdemon to the point where you can use your fist to finish the job. This is usually 3-4 shots. Make use of the invulnerability spheres in order to get close enough to kill him. Note that in the Tricks and Traps level, you will be competing with Barons of Hell for the honour of killing said Cyberdemon as he will always enact infighting. This increases the chances of an enemy killing the Cyberdemon so a save file is recommended. The achievement should go as soon as you kill the demon. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1180/-ONjGA==.jpg A Really Big Gun - 10G The first time you can gain the BFG9000 in the "Hell on Earth" chapter is in level 8 "Tricks and Traps". <Will insert Return location here>. The achievement will pop as soon as you pick up the weapon. Edited May 26, 2010 by Shaun2k4

Shaun2k4
What the hell kind of video guide is that? For "Burning out of Control", he goes right to the exit without collecting anything. Now am I missing something, or are you supposed to be doing this: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1180/-luTYg==.jpg Burning Out of Control 15 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg Complete any level with 100% kills, items, and secrets in Single player It also has the wrong number of GamerScore, it says 10 when it should be 15. Thanks. I got 2 titles mixed round and messed up abit with Youtubes Annotation software. BRB hour and a half.
mjc0961
Oh, it was meant to be something else? Okay, that makes more sense then. (I deleted my post above, as it'll look stupid once you fix the video.)
Shaun2k4
To be fair your right. I'll just fix it and put it back up. I only caught it once it was on Youtube. ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH *Taps desk*
DeadMarinesSociety
You have huge guts This should be doable in map08, Tricks and traps. There is a room, filled with barons, invulnerability spheres and a cybie.

There is a room, filled with barons, invulnerability spheres and a cybie. The only issue I had when I was testing that on PC version was the Barons tended to claim the win for themselves alot of the time though I was starting with a pistol and not the large ammo from prior levels. When I get there on 360 version, I plan to try it a few times to see if the Barons are more forgiving.
Shaun2k4
Just got 60 points in first 10 minutes which is nice. All seems to be fine and dandy on the difficulty front (Fear was they might put new monsters in and such). If anyone spots anything feel free to poke with stick. BTW, I fixed my vid above so its all singing happily in the garden now. RadiantViper
I like the vid, helped me get 'Burning Out of Control' easy Just some constructive criticism, could you maybe add achievement pictures/description before each guide? And I know they're in the video, but how bout a quick run through of the chainsaw and beserker achievements (and maybe mention that iirc you can't pick levels, so make sure to keep an extra save for that level if you want to do them later)? Sorry if I'm overstepping here, I really appreciate the guide

Save after the last one is dead and repeatedly shoot the cyberdemon with the BFG and save. When it only takes one more shot, grab the invincibility and punch him. That's how I did it. When it only takes one more shot, grab the invincibility and punch him. That's how I did it. I did the exact same thing, but on the secret level, Groose (lvl 32). No barons (actually, no other enemies at all), and you start with a berserk kit right in front of you. There is an invulnerability powerup in a secret room in the right side of the level, i shot the cyberdeamon 4 times with the BFG, grabbed the powerup, and finished him off with the fist. Doominatorx6
Although I can't say I'll be using it, this guide looks sharp to me. (Put THAT at the top of it, the "doominator seal of approval") But for the 100 frags online achievement, does that unlock after the round where you get the 100th kill, like it did in the original doom? Also, as a general tip, put the achievement description next to the achievement. That's just a personal thought though, what you have is rock solid. EDIT - Oh, so you are adding descriptions. Killer. Balc0ra
Easiest way to get the "a man and a half" achievement is to load up the 1st level on the new episode "no rest for the living" on I'm to young to die or a higher difficulty if you want more mobs. After you start just run straight ahead to the big silver wall with the UAC logo on it. Open it and pick up the the black medic bag there and just run around killing em until you get it. I got it long after the effects of the bag ended. Edited May 26, 2010 by Balc0ra a few typos

Ninja x360a
Just a little something to add.. 1) The achievement decriptions: Although they are not really needed, it can help I guess.. 2) For the online achievement, the kills can be in ranked or player, and you have to finish the match, no quitting, and if the game disconects from the other player quitting, it doesn't count either, Not really the most needed guide, but someones gotta make a good one, like you

oO Triple G Oo
For the 20 berserk punch kills, level nine "The Pit" contains a berserker kit and a lot of shotgun guys, imps, lost souls, and standard zombies. I'm about to unlock it, but I figured I'd give you the heads up.

It must be true though considering the achievement video for that segment took quite some time. It must be no wonder why beating that cyberdemon on Tricks & Traps is definitely annoying without a berserk pack. Gonna try that one on some other level.
