J Jaro 2049
So I'm on sequence 9 and have 4 recruits leveled up to full on assassins but 2 are still at level 7 and for some reason I cant do assassin contracts anymore. Is this a bug or will I get more at a later time? Am i doomed to never get these recruits leveled up?
T00L
Don't worry, you'll get new missions at a certain time. Not sure what exactly triggers them but I guess it's just the story progress.

Quid Squid
You can do 84 missions, then they stop
xPaRaPhOiAx
Another method to level them up (I ran into the same issue, I had 5 assassin's and my last one was at rank 10) is to call them into combat with you. After every fight they leave with extra xp.. A notification will pop up saying the Guild earned XP.. It's how I got my last assassin to max out... Ben London
Thank you for that. I was also freaking out because I've completed almost all of those 84 missions with my Boston recruits before going to NY (I got OCD about turning the whole map blue!). Morbious17
Also, they don't share exp from contracts. Each one you send gets the full 40-60 exp so send 2 weaker ones with a maxed out one for best/quickest results.
Evil Flogo
Just 84 missions?! I wish I'd known about this before I sent level 11 assassins on missions for the money. Now I can't get 100% because my last recruit was glitched.
SpinelesS
Just 84 missions?! I wish I'd known about this before I sent level 11 assassins on missions for the money. Now I can't get 100% because my last recruit was glitched. I leveled all my assassins up to level 11 by just spamming LB on guards, sending everyone out to kill them all. Also that just 84 missions isn't exactly correct. You will be able to repeat a bunch of missions. these are things like training, finding a doctor, teaching people to fish, getting rid of templar thugs etc. Its just the historically inspired missions that are limited. Lavindathar
oh dear, I need all at assassin rank for 100%? I've got most of my missions done already and not even got the ny guys yet.

Can you definately gain exp from assassinating guards and such? I thought the missions were just an endless loop since it was always the same mission with the same completion time and rewards. Didn't realise it had a cap.
StayonTarget
Can anyone describe the location of the Assassins? I only have the one and I know there are 2 more in Boston and 3 in New York. That's it though.
Evil Flogo
I can confirm that it's entirely possible to level up through using your assassins in fights. I actually found it quicker and much more fun! In reply to the above comment that I forgot to quote: When you liberate a sector of a city then your liberation contact becomes your new assassin. There's three sectors to both Boston and New York, so six assassins in total.

I used my assassin to fight some Boston guards and all of a sudden I got the message that he got killed....scared the shit out of me....but next fight he was there again to fight another battle. So the assassin's can't die, but when they get killed during a fight...do they loose xp?
