Will a usb 360 controller work on the windows Halo 2?

wireless controller works fine for me
I think the different results are due to different definitions of "wireless adapter." With this device

you can use a wireless Xbox 360 controller with Windows.

 

I mistakenly thought I could use a Plug n' Play cable, like this:

I later learned that the USB cable is only providing power to the controller, not passing data.

 

I now use a wired controller. I don't have personal experience with the wireless adapter.
