For "The Missing Link" DLC achievement guide, see post #7.

Introduction:

In Deus Ex: Human Revolution you play Adam Jensen, a security specialist, handpicked to oversee the defense of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. But when a black ops team breaks in and kills the scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes. At a time when scientific advancements are routinely turning athletes, soldiers and spies into super-enhanced beings, someone is working very hard to ensure mankind's evolution follows a particular path. You need to discover why - because the decisions you take and the choices you make will be the only things that can determine mankind's future.

Before Starting Your Playthrough:

Firstly, you need to decide how you want to approach the game.

If you are simply playing for achievements, you'll want to do several things:

  • Play on 'Give Me Deus Ex' difficulty.
  • Do not set off any alarms.
  • Do not kill anyone.
  • Collect all 29 eBooks.
  • Complete all side quests and the achievements corresponding to them.

If you are willing to do more than one playthrough, which will probably make your life much easier, you can plan out and split the achievements in two. For example, you could do one playthrough without setting off any alarms and not killing anybody on 'Tell Me a Story' difficulty, and then do a second playthrough on 'Give Me Deus Ex', whilst collecting all the eBooks and finishing off any miscellaneous achievements you may have missed on your first playthrough. Ultimately, it's up to you and how long you want to spend on the game and your Deus Ex: Human Revolution experience.

During the playthrough, try to hack as many things as possible and perform as many takedowns as possible (perform non-lethal takedowns by tapping :bbut: instead of holding if you are trying to get Pacifist during this playthough). Make sure to save before the end of the game so you can reload 3 times to see all the endings!

Misc:

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is packed with side quests and optional missions, and the game normally rewards you with achievements for completing, and also completing an optional objective in the mission. Unfortunately, these side quests and their related achievements are missable and have to be completed before alternating between Detroit and Hengsha. The achievements are all listed in order so if you follow the guide there shouldn't be a problem with missing achievements.

Collectables:

There are 29 unique E-Books that count towards the Doctorate achievement hidden within the world of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Acquiring these give you an XP bonus of 200 (Scholar) each and ultimately your 50G. I have included an excellent video guide under the achievement description.

Praxis:

You earn praxis points from earning XP and using praxis kits. Praxis is used to level up Adam's augmentations throughout the game. But surely you don't want to spend your precious points on the wrong things, do you? Here's a list of essential augmentations that you will definitely want to spent your praxis on.

Icarus Landing System

Ok, you'd think that for an upgraded superhuman Adam Jensen would be able to jump without taking damage wouldn't you? Wrong. You can only fall a couple of meters before Adam decides he's afraid of heights. By taking this augmentation, you become able to jump and land from any height without damage. This is especially helpful with finding alternate paths and is also a must if you are collecting all of the eBooks, as one of them in Tai Yong Medical requires you have it. I'd invest in this as soon as you arrive in Hengsha.

Hacking: Capture

You start off with level one hacking, which allows you to hack level one devices. If you have the Explosive Mission Pack that came with the special edition (or can be bought from marketplace for 320 microsoft points), then this isn't as important as the Automatic Unlocking Device can handle the level 5 locks for stealth routes and eBooks. If you don't have the DLC pack then try and level this up whenever you have spare points.

Implanted Rebreather

This is optional but it is helpful for getting past areas blocked off by gas. If you feel like you want to buy this, then go for it.

Dermal Armor

This is really helpful when you do your 'Give Me Deus Ex' playthrough. It gives a much needed damage threshold, which is helpful when fleeing from fights whilst being shot or boss battles.

Move/Lift Heavy Objects

This is very useful and should be either the first or second augmentation you purchase. Moving vending machines and dumpsters normally reveal a vent that makes your stealthy approach much easier.

Sarif Series 8 Energy Converter

Buy more energy bars and a faster energy recharge rate when you have praxis points available. They greatly help the stealth approach by providing longer time to use cloaking, so you can pass through heavily guarded areas undetected. It also will help with offense, due to more a higher takedown count, but remember you will have to use a Cyberboost item to recharge your energy bars.

Cloaking System

The most helpful augmentation of all. Upgrade this as fast as possible, by making it last the maximum amount of time possible as you can sneak past groups of enemies without being seen. Possibly the best and most useful aug in the game.

Typhoon Explosive System

This is optional and just makes the bosses a lot easier. If you have 2 praxis points spare and are struggling with the bosses then take this upgrade.

Social Enhancer

You need this to unlock the Ladies Man achievement when you go to Hengsha the second time. Not really useful other than that unless you want to unlock unique dialogue options.

Conclusion:

Deus Ex: Human Revolution shouldn't prove to be a hard game to 1000G if the playthrough(s) are done properly. Following this guide will hopefully make the harder achievements less daunting. I have done 6 playthroughs of this game and not regretted a second of it, and I hope you share my love for this game. Thank you for reading, all constructive criticism is welcome.

There are 4 possible endings in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. You can save before the end of the game (after beating the final boss) and reload after completing to refinish the game with a different ending. You MUST speak to Taggart and Sarif during the final level in Panchaea or you will NOT be able to get all four endings in one playthrough.

Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution without anyone dying by your hand. (Boss fights don't count.)

One of two hard achievements included in the game. This will require that you find alternate entries such as vents and create your own paths to sneak around enemies. Note that non-lethal takedowns, gas grenades and tranquilizer darts do not nullify this achievement.

It has been confirmed that you cannot get this achievement if you kill enemies in the prologue.

Gang members showing up and dead will NOT void this achievement, it is simply an error that will probably be fixed with an update.

Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution without setting off any alarms.

For a great guide on this achievement, click here.

An alarm is the loud beeping noise that repeats itself. If you are spotted in main missions, hostiles will likely activate an alarm unless you can kill them first. Being spotted by or destroying a security camera also activates an alarm.

From my personal experiences, this is what I have found:

- Security Cameras and Turrets cannot go hostile/red

- You can get in firefights as long as the hostiles don't activate an alarm panel

- Sequences where alarms are already activated don't count unless seen by a camera

- Killing the crazies on Panchaea will not void this achievement

When in the office at very start, you have to click on: (1) eBook, Patient X; (2) toy race car; (3) Being Different book; (4) old photograph; (5) Megan's computer, read all e-mails; (6) Picus newspaper. When you click on all these items, achievement will pop.

Note: This achievement is missable. If you miss it, it is the first thing in the game after the first cutscene so shouldn't pose too much of a problem.

Read all 29 unique XP books within a single playthrough.

These are the collectibles found in the game. Below is an extremely detailed roadmap, and the eBook guide along the way is fantastic. Note, for the eBook located in Greg and Josie Thorpe's apartment in Detroit, you do not need to save them at the start as the door can be hacked relatively easy anyways.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXv3-SdJ1Ew]Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Doctorate - Achievement (eBook Collectibles) Part 2 - YouTube[/ame]

Just a quick note, if you're trying for the Doctorate achievement, you have to make sure that you disarm the bomb/save the hostages at the beginning of the game, and you also have to save the life of the hostage (Josie Thorpe) that the terrorist Zeke Sanders is holding. This is because Josie and her husband (who was one of the hostages that you save by disarming the bomb) will later give you a side quest where one of the XP books is located. As far as I know, that is the only way to get that one XP book.

Fully upgrade your first augmentation of choice.

Put all upgrades into an augmentation of your choice. A list of augmentations can be found below. Note that some of them may cost 2 praxis to upgrade:

Cranium Augmentations:

  • Social Enhancer
  • Radar System
  • Infolink
  • Stealth Enhancer
  • Hacking: Capture
  • Hacking: Analyze Add-On
  • Hacking: Fortify
  • Hacking: Stealth

Torso Augmentations:

  • Sentinel RX Health System
  • Sarif Series 8 Energy Converter
  • Implanted Rebreather
  • Typhoon Explosive System

Arm Augmentations:

  • Cybernetic Arm Prosthesis
  • Aim Stabilizer

Eye Augmentations:

  • Smart Vision
  • Retinal Prosthesis

Back Augmentations:

  • Reflex Booster
  • Icarus Landing System

Skin Augmentations:

  • Dermal Armor
  • Cloaking System

Leg Augmentations:

  • Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis

The easiest augmentation to level is radar as it only requires one praxis. Just save your game and put a praxis point into radar, and the achievement should pop, and then you can revert your save. Radar isn't as helpful as the many other augmentations.

Put a grieving mother's doubts to rest.

After leaving Sarif Headquarters and venturing into the streets of Detroit, Ms Reed will come and plead for your help in solving the truth behind Megan's death. This is quite a long winded side quest, and one of the first.

I cannot stress this enough, make sure to get Wayne Haas to let you into the morgue and police station. If you don't, all police will become hostile and make your life hell. Persuading him to let you in will also get you the 'The Desk Job' achievement.

Make sure to hack the level 3 safe in the garage with all the eBook-contained evidence, and get the bracelet from it. Keeping it unlocks the 'Sentimental Value' achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/509/5-0s3ak=.jpg Cloak & Daggers - 10:gsicon:

Deal with the man in the shadows.

There is a black, female prostitute acting as an undercover agent located between your apartment and the police station in Detroit. Speaking to her initiates this mission.

You have to perform several tasks to prove the guiltiness of Jack O'Malley. In the end, you'll act as O'Malley's henchman and take out a gang to start a gang war. However, this can be prevented.

At the end of the quest make sure to listen to O'Malley's blackmail offer and accept it to get the 'The Take' achievement.

Point of No Return: You cannot do any of the above side quest related achievements after leaving Detroit for the first time.

Help a lady in the oldest of professions clean house.

When you leave Detroit and enter Shanghai, make your way to the Hung Hua Hotel. Keep going up the stairs until you reach a door. Enter, and you should see a man and a woman arguing in an apartment about augmentations. Speak to the woman to get this quest.

The first part of the mission requires getting her friend back who is going to be 'leashed' - she will be genetically engineered with augmentations to make her 'better at her job'. She is being held by 3 gang members, dispose of them in anyway you please. Get the garage door open and speak to Ning. She will thank you and flee the city. You can then return to Mei and get a reward.

She will then ask you to frame the death of Diamond Chan, or frame him to get him arrested. Go to his apartment and perform a non-lethal takedown on him to knock him out. He will be alone. Don't use non-lethal weapons, stick to hand-to-hand combat. Drag his body outside and throw him off the top of the building and tumbling into the streets below to frame his suicide and get the 'The Fall' achievement. Return to Mei and the achievement will unlock.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/509/5-zMJTo=.jpg Bar Tab - 10:gsicon:

Help the Hive Bartender settle a tab.

In The Hive in Shanghai, after speaking with Tong, speak to the bartender, Bobby Bao, on the ground floor. He will mention that he struck a deal with a female broker named Jaya and she hasn't paid her tab, but she has gone into hiding and you need to track her down by hacking 3 devices across the city. After you discover her location, make your way to her apartment and she will explain that she was cheated and she will not pay a single credit for her augmentation.

You have two options here; you can pay a sum of 5000 credits to the Bobby Bao and he promises to not hassle her again, and you will unlock the 'Guardian Angel' achievement. The other option is to perform a non-lethal takedown on her and get the augmentation back out of her. Both options will unlock this achievement, but obviously the superior choice is paying for her so you can get another achievement as well.

I payed up her debt to get the 'Guardian Angel' achivement, then re-loaded a previous save and went back to her apartment and knocked her out and took the augmentation as the quest is still completed, and I was 5000 credits better off.

It may take some sleuthing, but justice must be served.

When progressing through the main missions in Shanghai, Malik will confront you and ask for your help. Her friend has been murdered and wants justice.

When you get to the point in the mission where you have to go to his apartment, keep an eye out for several items that prove his guiltiness. These items are:

  • Baseball Bat - Located beside the door.
  • Emails - Located in the bedroom on the computer. You need to hack this.
  • Answer Machine - Next to the bed in the bedroom.
  • Broken Clock - On top of the cabinet in the bedroom.

You now have enough evidence to confront Lee Hong. Go to The Hive and go to the top floor. He will be sitting alone. You now must choose the following dialogue options in your conversation: Falsified, Drunk, Antique Clock, Pregnant, LIMB/Belltower. You will unlock the 'Super Sleuth' achievement.

Malik will ask you to hack a level 3 security device in The Hive. Make sure to take out the bouncer closest to you or he will detect you after hacking. After hacking, meet with Malik outside. She will have a nice surprise for you, and a praxis kit. Achievement unlocked.

Point of No Return: You cannot do any of the above side quest related achievements after leaving Hengsha for the first time.

This side quest is started when you come out of the conference centre in Detroit when you visit Detroit for a second time. He fears someone may be planning to blow up the police station.

Your job is to go to the locations he could be found (he was in the sewers for me) and either knock him unconscious or kill him. You then need to disarm the bomb. Use the code '0000' to disarm it and get the 'Lucky Guess' achievement. Return to Nicky for this achievement.

When he dismisses you, use the elevator and check your emails in your office, all 3 of them. Then return to Sarif and continue with the story as usual.

When you visit Detroit a second and final time, Pritchard will contact you near the convention centre, starting this side quest. This cannot be done unless you checked the 3 emails in Detroit 1.

When you get the Brent Radford's apartment, you will discover him dying on the floor. Keep on giving him morphine and then 'leave', he'll beg you to stay and deliver a fatal morphine dose. Do as he wishes for the 'Kevorkian Complex' achievement.

Carry on with the quest until you reach the garage where you search for evidence. There are photos in the safe and five emails on the computer. Some people get stuck here because they forget to scroll down to the fifth email.

Continue on and upon completion of the side quest the achievement will pop.

Point of No Return: You cannot do any of the above side quest related achievements after leaving Detroit for the second time.

Secret Achievements:

These achievements are worth 355:gsicon: from the original 1000:gsicon:. These come by completing out of progression and miscellaneous tasks. Please note: this section will contain some unavoidable spoilers. I am trying to list them in order to prevent confusion.

You made it through an entire hostile area without so much as a squeak.

Simply make it through a hostile area without setting off any alarms or being detected once for the 'Ghost' bonus. You should get this early on, unless you go in guns blazing.

In the first main mission, called Sarif Manufacturing Plant. As soon as you arrive, go down the two sets of ladders. Then, progress up the alleyway and perform a non-lethal takedown (if you are going for other achievements too). Hug the right hand wall until you reach a dead end. You should notice a cardboard box that you can move. Move it next to the others nearby to create and alternate route. Continue up this 'path', and climb up another ladder. There should be another movable box to your right. Move it out of the way to reveal a secret entry. At the end of the entry is the power switch to turn off the electricity field blocking your path. Just continue up where the electricity was blocking and enter a vent at the end, and you're good to go. The achievement should unlock.

You encounter Barrett in the FEMA facility around 10 missions into the game. A good way to bring him down is with explosives, I personally used C4.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/509/5-qvP+U=.jpg Yes Boss 15:gsicon:

You had an argument with your boss, David Sarif, and won.

This achievement can be unlocked when you return to Sarif Industries after a boss fight. First off, speak with Pritchard, then the guests. Then head up to see David Sarif.

I found that the conversation can change over time, so make sure to save before speaking with him. If he changes the subject and you follow a linear dialogue, he'll outargue you and you won't get the achievement. This achievement is partially reliant on luck, and intuition.

You sent Diamond Chan on the trip of a lifetime.

You need to frame Diamond Chan's suicide on the 'Rotten Business' mission. This achievement does NOT prevent you from getting Pacifist. See 'Rotten Business' for details on how to get this achievement.

You convinced a fast-talking bartender to let you see Tong Si Hung.

On the top floor of The Hive, you need to convince the bartender to let you see Tong Si Hung.

The achievement is missable depending on the route you take when trying to find the location of the dutchman. I snuck into the Hive bar through the sewers and went into the vent next to the bouncer thats guarding the basement hallway. Going into this vent took me to a cutscene where I was given the info I needed to find the Dutchman without having to talk to the bartender. So in short, avoid the vents in the Hive's basement!

You paid poor Jaya's debt in full. How very... humane... of you.

You need to pay up Jaya's 5000 credit debt in full in the 'Bar Tab' mission. See 'Bar Tab' for details on how to get this achievement.

You really nailed your case against Lee Hong.

You need to choose all of the correct dialogue options during the 'Shanghai Justice' mission. See 'Shanghai Justice' for more details.

You defeated Yelena Fedorova, elite member of a secret mercenary hit squad.

You will get this achievement by kiling Yelena Fedorova at the very end of the Picus Headquarters level in Montreal. If you are struggling (this is the hardest boss fight and the only one that actually poses a challenge), at the start of the fight, run forward, then turn around and throw a gas grenade at her. This will keep her still for around 10 seconds. You can shoot her, use explosives, or (if you have the Rebreather augmentation and Typhoon augmentation), run up to her and use Typhoon. If you have more energy, the better this method is.

You convinced the smooth-talking politician Bill Taggart to tell the truth in public.

You need to convince Bill Taggart to share some information. The dialogue in this conversation can change so following a guide won't help, you need luck and intuition.

If you use CASIE, it renders 'The Last Straw' unobtainable during that particular playthrough.

You talked Doctor Isaias Sandoval out of suicide.

When you break into the hideout, you need to make your way past the enemies and initiate a talk with Isaias. He wants to commit suicide right in front of you. Use your intuition to prevent him from doing so.

If you sneak into the back and hack Taggarts machine and figure out that's not what you wanted to do... reload and confront him in public and pop the achievement for "The Throwdown" Isaias will attack you still like he didn't get put out in public.

It's because a flag is set when you hack the computer that will stick with your playthrough apparently. Reloading doesn't fix it, only a new game will. I just verified this and it's documented on the wiki.

Lesson: Don't hack Taggarts computer at all. Confront him and The Last Straw before you do if you really want to hack it.

Stick the AUD on it and when it is hacked, change the pods to inactive. Then, empty a clip of laser rifle into Zhao and she will die.

http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/388/deudlc1achievementguide.png

Overview:

Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10

Offline: 10 [250:gsicon:]

Online: 0 [0:gsicon:]

Approximate time: 5-10hrs

Minimum number of play-throughs needed: 1 (2 recommended)

Missable achievements: Yes

Does difficulty affect Achievements? No

Unobtainable/glitched achievements?: Unknown

Cost: 1200 Microsoft Points

Introduction:

During Adam's quest for the truth in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, he mysteriously vanishes for three days. Where was he? What did he find out? The Missing Link reveals it all. After being tortured by Belltower agents and having his augmentations disabled, Adam Jensen must rely solely on his basic capabilities to escape from a freighter, destined for an unknown location. While fighting for his survival on the ship, he uncovers another layer to the conspiracy that he never would have suspected.

Story:

I have listed the achievements in order, so spoilers won't be unnecessarily given out.

The achievements for this DLC can be all earned within one playthrough if you save correctly and follow strict instructions from this guide.

It would, however, be more fun to play the DLC the way you want to instead of being limited by achievements, but whatever floats your boat, you can get the achievements done and get the DLC out of the way, or you can enjoy the full 'The Missing Link' experience.

Misc:

The game only has two unmissable, story-related achievements. The other eight require you to go out of your way and do things you wouldn't normally do, which is interesting because it opens up more options within the DLC.

Collectables:

The only real form of collectables are the three data disks to get The Learn'd Scholar achievement. These aren't hard to find and should prove no hassle if you follow the guide.

Conclusion:

'The Missing Link' is a fantastic, lengthy and fun piece of content to add to your Deus Ex experience. Although the price tag of 1200 microsoft points may seem a little too much, it is well worth the price, and if you're holding out for a deal of the week, then you're really missing out.

The achievements aren't overly difficult if handled correctly, and the DLC will be well worth your time.

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll183/DarklordZerato/FactoryZero.png Factory Zero - 70:gsicon:

You survived The Missing Link using no Praxis kits, weapons, or explosives. Whoa.

A list of things you will want to take into account:

  • Do NOT use any praxis points to upgrade your augmentations.
  • Do NOT fire a weapon or use an explosive.
  • You CAN pick up a weapon or explosive.
  • Stealth and takedowns are key.

You will want to stealth your way through this DLC to get the achievement. Getting into gunfights isn't a good idea, because obviously, you can't use guns. You're limited to level 1 hacks ONLY, you can only takedown 1 enemy at a time, and you will have to wait the maximum amount of time for your energy to restore so you can use more takedowns.

This achievement may seem daunting, but if you approach it right, it isn't too bad.

http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/8505/goodsamaritan.png Good Samaritan - 20:gsicon:

You replaced the power supply on a damaged stasis pod, saving the occupants life.

When you get to a large area with crates and ladders everywhere, you should have a blue side quest marker on screen. Follow it to discover a broken power supply on a stasis pod. Turn around and enter the storage room. Move the two crates that are in your way for a Reload Speed upgrade and a new power supply. Go back to the stasis pod and put the power supply in, and the achievement will unlock.

You made it off the boat... but to what end?

This will come with natural progression in the DLC. Story related and cannot be missed.

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll183/DarklordZerato/NeverForget.png Never Forget - 20:gsicon:

You revisited the site where Belltower discovered and captured you.

If you are doing a Factory Zero playthrough, make a save when you recover your armour. You will need to open the praxis stash next to your armour to receive 7 praxis kits, and then purchase the 'Icarus Landing System' and 'Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis' augmentations. The video will explain the rest.

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll183/DarklordZerato/TheLearndScholar.png The Learn'd Scholar - 20:gsicon:

When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me...

You need to find 3 data disks that can be placed on holotables when you encounter the female scientist in her lab. The locations of these are as follows:

  • In a detention cell on the right after you speak with Nina.
  • In room A4, Operations Security, Admin, next to the lasers. It is sitting on the desk next to the weapon stash and the guard sitting down.
  • On a desk in Dr. Kavanagh's lab, along with the three holotables.

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll183/DarklordZerato/AlloftheAbove.png All of the Above - 20:gsicon:

You managed to save Dr. Kavanagh and all the prisoners, too.

After Burke attempts to kill Kavanagh and the prisoners with the gas, you will be given the option to save one or the other. If you are doing a Factory Zero playthrough, save now. Pick up a gun, or equip one if you already have one in your inventory. Take the Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis and Move/Lift Heavy Objects augmentations and find a large box covering a vent on the outside wall. Follow the path and it will lead to a generator with a small green tank on the front. Shoot the tank and you will save everyone and get the achievement, but to get Factory Zero you will need to reload your save and choose one or the other.

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll183/DarklordZerato/BackStagePass.png Back Stage Pass - 20:gsicon:

You gained access to Quinn's secret store.

After you get discovered by Burke and you come across the cutscene with Keitner, just after Burke stops the biometric scan you will be contacted by Quinn. Make your way to his store and go to the back, and pick up the two boxes that are in front of a red switch. Press this switch to reveal the armoury and get the achievement.

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll183/DarklordZerato/ApexPredator.png Apex Predator - 20:gsicon:

You performed a takedown on Burke without being detected.

To get this achievement, you need to perform a takedown on Burke without him going hostile. As soon as the cutscene with Burke ends, immediately take cover. Wait until the sniper on the left catwalk moves away, and then sneak past the mech until you reach a container with two ammo boxes in it. Turn around, and climb up on the metal support, then jump to the container. Turn right and jump down, and then immediately take cover. Sneak past the guard and the turret and go to the ladder, then wait until the heavy that is on the ceiling of the outpost that Burke is in turns away from you and climb up the next ladder. Perform a non-lethal takedown on the heavy (so you don't alert Burke and his guards) and then jump through the small hole below you. Burke will be staring out of the window, and you can just sneak up behind him and perform a takedown on him.

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll183/DarklordZerato/ThatOldAdage.png That Old Adage - 20:gsicon:

Apparently, your CASIE augmentation doesn't work on everyone...

When 'the hacker' calls you after you take care of Burke and his men, if you are doing a Factory Zero playthrough, make a save. If not, then don't bother. Use your praxis to upgrade your Social Enhancer, otherwise known as CASIE. Continue to the mission marker where you come face to face with the hacker and when you are talking, when you have the option to activate pheromones, select Appease. This won't work on him and you'll get the achievement. If you want to keep things spoiler free, don't watch the video, but it speaks a thousand words.

You'll get this at the end of the DLC. Story related and cannot be missed.

Nice! an achievement guide finally being made! Great job setting up and thanks for getting it started. I don't if this helps with what you were asking in the guide but...:

All achievement can be obtained in one playthrough. Have to play on hard, be non-lethal, and stealthy. For choices and achievements (usually found in side quests) that go against the Pacifist, you would have to make sure you have multiple saves. Before the choice presents itself save. Then you could do the alternate choice, reload, and continue without screwing up the pacifist achievement or doing a choice that you don't want.

Someone made a thread attempting to explain the Foxiest of Hounds acheivement. So you can refer to this thread to help explain that achievement:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=325742

Also it is unknown but there is currently a glitch for gang members in Detroit that sometimes even if you shoot them with non-lethal weapons they show up with Skulls. It is unknown if you continue with the skulls on them if it ruins the achievement for Pacifist but it's better to be sure. The best way to avoid having skulls is save before going into an area with enemy gang members. Keep reloading if any show up with skulls. Rinse and repeat till all show up with ZZZs. For more details on the glitch refer to this thread:

Balls- right next to the basket are three cans (or if you have heavy lifting aug you can get a dumpster) and you can create stairs out of them right next to the basket, hold the ball above it, and drop it in for a very very simple way of doing this achievement.

Lucky Guess - I heard the code is just 0000 so when you find the bomb, might wanna save to be sure, but the code should be 0000.

Ladies Man and Talk Achs - As far as I know, CASIE is only way to get Ladies Man, but it is so incredibly helpful for all the talk achievements where you argue with Sarif or talk to the bartender or w/e and guide you through how to talk to them to guarantee you do it right.

Old School Gamer - When in the office at very start, you have to click on: (1) eBook, Patient X; (2) toy race car; (3) Being Different book; (4) old photograph; (5) Megan's computer, read all e-mails; (6) Picus newspaper. When you click on all these items, achievement will pop.

Gun Nut - When you examine a weapon, it has stats for it, including some green bars after the yellow ones. For example, the pistol has 4 green bars on each of its stats (rate of fire, reload speed, ammo capacity, damage output) so besides upgrading it with silencer and armor-piercing and the standard ones, you need 4 of each upgrade on it to fully upgrade it. So if you have one weapon you like, such as combat rifle, put all your upgrades into it and you can get it. Easiest weapon is Tranq rifle which only requires 3 reload speed upgrades to be fully upgraded.

Trying to just put more information out for this list. For all the ones where it says "convince this guy" or "show that girl" just redirect them all to one achievement and give general tips on how to do this. The only one you shouldn't have CASIE for is Unforseen Consequences but it's simple to do this without the aug. CASIE makes all the social debates 10x easier.

PS: Nu-13 so broken in CT

Also unless you make a point to save before it, you can NOT do Good Soul without killing people. The heavies kill the chopper too fast for you to just try and stun everyone. What I did was used heavy rifle to kill people, and when the mech appeared threw an EMP Grenade to kill it instantly. The main problem is the heavies so as long as you kill (or possibly stun) them you can do this because with those 2 guys out of the picture and the mech dead, none of the other guys do enough damage to kill her so you have plenty of time to KO/kill them all. When everyone is unconscious or dead, ach pops after Malik thanks you.

So there is no way at all to do Good Soul and the pacifist achievement in the same save? You have to save before then, Save Malik, and then reload and not save her?

Posting this here in hopes it helps other people out because I personally just messed up any chance of getting the Darker Shades achievement for myself and wont be able to get it on this playthrough.
