Rep
Microsoft has revealed today, the official lineup of chrome controllers for the Xbox 360. Here are the controllers: http://www.gamedemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/7039002741_5543c99e0c_o.jpg http://www.gamedemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/7039002565_397b35919a_o.jpghttp://www.gamedemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/6892906812_f535b08f86_o.jpghttp://www.gamedemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/6892907038_de6e07a509_o.jpg The controllers will run for a suggested retail price of $54.99, includes a transforming d-pad and will release in the month of May 2012.SOURCE These controllers are sick as fuck, but I don't think I'm going to be dropping almost $60 on a new controller when I already have six. Tatanko
I can't wait to see how long it takes these things to look worn the hell out. I need a new controller soon, so I think I'll be looking for one of the current silver ones in case those get bumped out of production by these. I agree, I love the blue. I also have four controllers though so I'll be passing on this for a few months.
iBuzz7S
Unless I can find them for dirt cheap, I won't buy. Better yet, I'd rather buy a custom made controller, with funky colours and buttons and pay the same price, while getting the same use out of it. Akuza
Yeah it's just different colours of the star wars one. Note how there is no gold? That's because they want people to buy the console THEN they'll release the gold version after the star wars console launches.
Dav13s
I have spray paint, I'll do my own funky ass controllers thanks MS.

DecadentBeaver
I'm in agreement with a post a few up. I got a spare pad, I'll modify it myself. Save spending ridiculous amounts of cash. The car I'm driving has a chrome gear knob. Well, half of its chrome at least. The other half is white plastic now.
Rep
I think I might try to find one of these off of eBay for a cheaper price, or buy a custom one that will look 10x times better.
Wildmn34
Agreed. Cool looking controllers, but not for $50 a pop and no plug and play kit.
P2 Prophet
Might pick these up, only have one working controller atm anyway. Another reason to get a new controller Not sure which colour I would get though.

bigbear.
Honestly, why bother with these? You can get the silver controller with a transformable D-Pad AND Plug and play kit for the same price or less.
ChickinOnaChain
I like the blue myself but the red would go better with my Gears console. And I agree, where's the gold one?
DeekBoy
I own 24 controllers and these will look very sexy.... Looks like I will have 27.
Kairi
I think those controllers look really cool! I kind of want one since I only have one controller and having a second one around couldn't hurt.

CyberPunch83
As much as I can wait for the price to go down if that at all happens, the controllers do look really nice. I tend to keep myself and my room/gamespace as clean as possible, so I don't think fingerprints would be as much a problem. I would probably either get the blue or silver one. niko da bos
Honestly, why bother with these? You can get the silver controller with a transformable D-Pad AND Plug and play kit for the same price or less. can somebody explain what the "transformable D-PAD" means? ive been searching but cannot find a solid answer. the controller looks pretty nice, not gonna lie my current is black with a white battery pack lol. i am in serious need of a new controller, that blue one looks very nice. however, i wish they were available right now. im actually debating buying another one this week, as the controller disconects more than i'd like. Wildmn34
can somebody explain what the "transformable D-PAD" means? ive been searching but cannot find a solid answer. Basically, the D-pad on the controller wasn't as responsive in some games as people wanted it to be. So, the new design if you turn the D-pad a half a click it pops up, and looks like a plus sign allowing for more responsive movements. Think of fighting games where you need combos and such. Then, you can pop it back down for normal games. Hopefully that makes a little bit of sense.

Yeah, basically you can press down and rotate to D-Pad to either "raise" it up off its base or "lower" back almost flush. Depending on what type of games you are playing it can be very useful to switch it back and forth. Mostly though its just fun to play with. colt415
I like the color and all, but I like my controllers matching my Xbox so I won't be getting this.
