Stepping into the shoes of Agent York may seem rather strange at first, but you will soon find out you are here for a reason. As you progress you will encounter a whole cast of characters, cheesy one liners and a very limited soundtrack. The graphics may not be this games selling point, but the story will start to grab you once you progress through the episodes. Breakdown: This game will take you on a rather interesting journey through a murder investigation. The games episodes vary in length, some longer than others but the balance between them may seem harsh at first. You will need to play through the game several times so taking a break from each investigation may aid you progress. Playthrough 1: Easy & Side Quests/Trading Cards Your first playthrough is where you will learn everything about your investigation and complete all the story related achievements. + Complete your first investigation + Complete Side Quests (rewards & trading cards) + Locate MP5, RPG, or Magnum with unlimited ammo (rewards from side quests) There are several weapons which will make your playthrough much easier. Complete the requried side quests for these rewards. See "Game Completed on Hard!" for further information on these weapons and locations. Trading Cards This is the only missable achievement in the game, there are 65 trading cards. You will have to spend a large amount of your time running around completing side quests for these rewards. See "Collect all trading cards!" for further information. Playthrough 2: Normal This playthrough will be much like your first but a little faster. If you have collected all the Trading Cards you will just need to make it from start to finish of your investigation. + Complete the second investigation + Locate unlimited ammo weapons Playthrough 3: Hard If you have made it this far you will be ready for your last playthrough of the game. The first two playthroughs should have shown you everything you need to know about this game to finish it off one more time. + Complete the last investigation + Locate unlimited ammo MP5, RPG, Magnum + Keep enemies at a distance + Save and Sleep/eat often Conclusion: Overall this game isn't too hard, but will require several playthroughs. If you managed to make it through each playthrough and collect all the trading cards, congratulations on completing Deadly Premonition to 1000:gsicon:. Chapters: 23 Dawn 24 Red Tree Boss Fight: Phase 1 This may seem a little daunting to start with, but once you know how to attack George you should have any issues with the rest of the fight. You need to shoot the symbol on his back. There are several ways to do this, either run around behind him, dodge his thrown axe attack and shoot when you have a clear shot. Or you can allow him to charge you and use the quick-time events to move out the way. Try not to fumble the quick-time events as he will finish you off with very little effort. Phase 2 Much like the first phase you will need to shoot the symbol on Georges back. You can either run around until you have a clear shot or wait until he charges you and excite the quick-time events. Keep moving and you shouldn't have any issues. Phase 3: This phase is much easier than the others. You will need to be quick though as George will throw axes at you. Once he has thrown the axe lock onto it with the and shoot until an animation starts. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/537/s8.jpgEpisode 6 Cleared! - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Completed episode 6. Chapters: 25 Zach Morgan Boss Fight: Phase 1: This fight will start after the length cut scene, Kaysen will be hanging from the ceiling of the theater. You need to keep shooting at him until you waste his health bar. Once you knock him down his will jump at you with a rush attack. Complete the quick-time event and he will hit the wall behind you. At this point he will be laying on the floor in front of the stage. Keep shooting him until he repeats the previous sequence. Phase 2: You will enter another cut scene where Kaysen will transform into yet another abomination. As you continue past the cut scene you will need to complete a very redundant and annoying set of quick-time events. This whole section is just quick-time based events so just keep at them until you compete the area. Phase 3: This last section of the fight can be quite confusing if you don't know where to shoot. Kaysen will be holding a small doll of himself, keep shooting it and dodging he various attacks. Using the and to avoid his slam attack. Trying to run away from this attack can be quite awkward, Just keep your distance when he's about to hit the ground. Phase 4: Kaysen will turn around and hide the doll in his pocket. He will start to hit the ground again, avoid his attack and the streams. Run toward his hand and climb on by pressing the . Run up his arm and shoot the dolls head. Episode 7: Chapters: 26 Epilogue http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/537/s9.jpgGame Completed on Easy! - 100http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Completed all episodes on easy difficulty. There are no easy ways to earn this set of achievements. You will have to play through the game three times before to complete all difficulties. You may want to play through the game at least once on Normal or Easy just to get a feel for what to do. The game isn't that difficult so just take your time. Enemies Keep your distance and back up when possible. Most enemies have little to no reaction when shot so they will keep walking up to you until they die. While holding the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/rt.png use the to lock onto your targets. This may be a little confusing to start with but it will help with the clunky aiming. Sleep/Health/Food This may get a little tedious until you get the hang of it. You will need to sleep and eat just like you would in real life. You can access your sleep and food bars by pressing http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png, just be careful as once your food meter drops your health will start to diminish. Sleeping will restore your health, though it will lower your food meter. Make sure you always have a food source in your inventory. If you died and have to continue, the game will give back a small amount of your food meter. Unlimited Ammo You will find various weapons around Greenvale, but you will have to complete side quests for people to earn the unlimited ammo rewards. Pistol: You will start out with this weapon and unlimited ammo for it. Shotgun: Complete side quest B from Keith Ingram. MP5: Complete side quest A from Keith Ingram. Flamethrower: Complete Brian the Insomniacs side quest. There are several other weapons which you will earn through completing the side quests, See "Collect all trading cards!" for a link to the side quest guide. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/537/s12.jpgCollected all trading cards! - 150http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Recovered all the trading cards. There are 65 trading cards scattered all over Greenvale, you can find them marked on your map with a green playing card. Not every card will be listed on the map as some can only be found in the various buildings and locations. This guide Trading Card Guide and this guide Side Quest Guide will help you find all the trading cards. Certain episodes and chapters won't allow you to access Greenvale. Completing most of these quests early on would be best. Edited March 8, 2010 by Fizzmatix

Fizzmatix
Excellent guide. Now I just need to get my guides finished and revised and the whole package will be complete;) Yeah hehe, i still haven't found all the cards, and i don't know if i can put up going through the game two more times. It was a good story but god the quick-time events just suck. Give me a heads up on the map though, if you want one for the locations i can pull one from the game. Aliosghof
Good job. I have found all of the cards except No. 52 (and also 65 which is related to this one). No.52 is probably related to the quests 07 and 08. I have stuck in 07 and looking for a “Vegetables that become sweet when heated". I have all of vegetables in my inventory but I haven't figured it out yet. Any help appreciated. Edited March 1, 2010 by Aliosghof

Fizzmatix
nice guide, but you might, at the very least, want to put a spoiler warning in there somewhere There is no reason to use spoilers within the guides. I don't force people to, i don't want to be opening and closing spoiler tags. This stands for all guides on this site, and all future guides. We don't use spoiler tags on the main site either for this reason. If you decided to look at the guide you're at fault for deciding to read the guide . So basically if you don't want to ruin a game for yourself, don't read the guides.

I get in this mode of like "Yes game is awesome!" and then this makes me like. . . Idk. . . its pissing me off though > You have to solve the puzzles, there are several. But i know what you mean, if you're on your first run through, you need to collect umbrellas from the rooms and place them in front of the statues. If i could remember the answers i would tell you, but they don't require any brain power. Just look for the red particles on the ground in front of the paintings/music stands etc. I think the second puzzle involves you pushing statues. Devil Sora
I did not chancge my thoughts on the game lol its like you telling a train to stop in a 10 second time frame. . . its not going to happen feel me dude? I love the game and I find myself playing it till long intervals at night just when you stop dead in your tracks it leaves you with that feeling "OMFG I want to know what happens next!" Surely you can appreciate where I am coming from instead of blatentlly bashing me about my stance on my game when in truth. . . you dont see the whole picture. anyways I figured it had something to do with the statues in the front of the door in which Harry is located in but the red particles tell me music verses (3, 5 and 6) are only left open. . . this obviouslly is in relasion to the umbrellas but all York keeps saying to Zach about the statues in the front of the door are "theres a button on it should we press it?" I can imagine Zach clawing at his face begging him to say "YES PUSH IT!" Anywho my problem is that thats the only red particle in that entire part. . . infront of the music and infront of the door. I was going nuts thinking that it could be the following. A.) The Head statues inside rooms 3, 5, and 6 but alas it doesn't give me an option to mingle with the bust B.) The piano maybe York had to play those music scores left open? As it turns out I can only "observe" the piano and not interact with it C.) lastly I thought I'd have to put the umbrellas in the statues hands in the front of the double doors like I stated previouslly I can only observe them. ultimatlly I know I'll have to look online for a walkthrough I hope its just me not thinking and not an actual bug in the system. so heres to hoping. Mystrytrky
I didn't answer previously because I had forgotten how the puzzle worked but now that you bring up the umbrellas it comes back to me. There are six umbrellas throughout that area - in rooms and such - and you need to place the umbrellas in the order - umbrella #3, #5, and #6 - in the statues' hands. C.) lastly I thought I'd have to put the umbrellas in the statues hands in the front of the double doors like I stated previouslly I can only observe them. That's weird because that is what you need to do. I don't remember for sure if it was A (Action) or B (Observe), but if you have umbrellas in your inventory then it should pop the screen up that lets you choose and item to use as an interaction. Devil Sora
but where are the statues located? XD right out infront of the double doors where Harry first is? (the door with no key hole)
Mystrytrky
If I remember correctly, they are in a courtyard area. It's a circular area on the map. They are missing the respective swords that they should have. Umbrellas make a great, if not-so-deadly, replacement.
Devil Sora
hmm well I think my game glitched on me. . . cause I cant leave the two rooms the one room that branches off into the guest rooms and then the room that Micheal is in. I guess I'll just try to find these statues in the courtyard and I thank you in advance for your help =D
Uyuyuy72
Once you get the umbrellas you need enter in a door that are in front of the room #3 to put the umbrellas... and do the next task . When you return again to the mansion there will be a different puzzle...You will solve this putting the statues in some kind of LAT/LONG map . -------------------- Got your point Devil Sora this game is so awesome that makes want to continue playing it without stop. Uyuyuy72
^^^^ Sarcastic???? the game is great ..i am enjoying it more than other "horror" games...so a sequel would be welcomed ...of course in another town ..a prequel to have again Agent York or his father in action.
