Iron Man 3 Opinions?

So I know there's already a thread named "Iron man 3", but it was made well before the release date so I figured a new one was sort of in order now it's been released.

But yeah, anyone that's seen it, what did you think? I went to the midnight screening tonight (I'm British xD) and I absolutely loved it! I thought it was fantastic; totally blew The Avengers Assemble out of the water for me, as predicted. I won't post spoilers for anyone but I can assure you that it's much better than the second (not that that's saying a lot) and it's just an incredible watch. I can't get over how much I enjoyed it :'3

Also, there were only like 15 people at the midnight screening in the cinema in my town even though it holds like 200+ per screening, I felt like such a fanboy c':

Yes really awesome

“Iron Man 3” has everything that a diehard fan would love. The "Barrel of Monkeys" scene will definitely stand out but other than that, they truly went all out in this film by giving us the armors, two villains who may be years separated in the comics but are as current as can be, and the love story between Potts and Stark, which is practically the backbone of the story going forward.

New here?

Doesn't matter how long the thread was made: the thread is still very active.

I saw it on Wednesday and I have to say that I was actually disappointed.

All I will say is I did not like what they did with Mandarin at all.

Here's hoping Thor 2 will be better.

Agreed, I thought the second one was a better "Iron Man" movie, and the whole Mandarin/Trevor thing was a huge let down, but funny too. :p

Also, Tony was barely in his suit in this movie?! I'm sure Avengers 2 won't disappoint as much.

The second worst story I've seen in a Marvel movie (Ghost Rider 2 takes that award).... it's a disaster. Its terrible. The story is full of cliches, stupid actions, and worst of all of COURSE was Mandarin. I can't believe what they DID to one of the coolest and greatest Marvel villains. I'm totally pissed.

Comic fans. You are going to vomit

ill add a spoiler tag for this but...

[spoiler=123]Why does Guy Pearce look like Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid 1? and oddly enough fought Tony Stark (topless) on top of a machine, just like the end of mgs1?

Anyone else notice that!?!

Was an alright film and fun to watch but I did not like the direction the film took. The trailer made it out to be something it wasnt and kinda dropped the ball for fans.

Would say its alot better than Iron Man 2 though.

"Diehard fan would love". Are you kidding me? Did you even read the comic book, and who Mandarin really is?

If you're real "diehard fan" of Iron Man, Iron Man 3 is the biggest disappointment then Spiderman 3 and X-Men 3 combine. You don't take Iron Man's Archenemy, and turn him into a joke.

If you never heard of Mandarin, the movie is great. Lot of actions, and good comedy that Marvel seem to know how to carry out.

So what do we think is worse

What they did to The Mandarin in this film or what they did to to Doctor Doom in the Fantastic Four?

Fantastic Four has always sucked so doing things poorly for their movie is no big deal :p

Casting Ben Kingsley as Mandarin was a mistake...

I would give it a 6/10. It had me hooked up till the whole Mandarin scene..then after that the whole movie just felt like a big waste of time. The Extremis stuff was pretty cool, but they never really explain it. Look here is some people with Extremis, Tony knows about it even though they never explain to him what it is(he also forgot about that night anyway), and the Mandarin twist was a big let down plus why base a "fake" villain on a REAL villain that has nothing to do with Killian? Was it just me or were the scenes with Trevor on the tv really bad quality? The whole movie looked like it...hahaha my friend said most of the movie looked like it was filmed like a porno(whatever that means). I like the scene at the end with the suits...even if they only show a couple actually doing something. Best thing about the movie was the Redhead he fights, oh my goodness. :S
