Lumen18
I know it's nothing "impressive", but I just want to show some easy strategies that anyone can replicate without too much preparation to beat these two main foes. ImaginaryRuins
On Easy they are NOTHING, especially if you dont mind a low battle score. If going for 5 stars rating, and on Normal and especially Hard, you cant use too many EP, though on Easy the score calculating system is much more lenient. For Hard Aeronite, you cannot use Overlock even a single time and cannot die to 5 star it. In that entire fight I never healed and only used 4 EP to use 'Quake' twice to escape from his instant death moves (it deals more than 40000 damage). I thought I made it clear that this was not a "who's got the bigger stick" contest but just a tutorial lol (and they are both five stars by the way)

Rascalov
I barely beat Ereshkigal on Easy on my first run. I had to use a bunch of Hi Potions and Phoenix Downs. I didn't attempt Aeronite though. Figured that if I had so much trouble with Ereshkigal then I wouldn't be able to beat Aeronite, who is the hardest opponent fought in LRFXIII. I'll try to beat him on NG+

I'll try to beat him on NG+ Poison is the key to defeat Ereshkigal. As for Aeronite, once you have the correct set up he is not hard at all. In fact on Youtube, some managed to beat him on Normal just on NG. Rascalov, may I ask what is/will be your set up?
Rascalov
Well I just tried to beat him on NG+. Tried SAB/RAV/COM and RAV/RAV/COM builds. I staggered him 4 times I think but then I had no items left. I barely made an impact on his life bar. Only have 1 Ether... don't know if that will be enough to beat him. I will try to use the strategy in the video Edited February 14, 2014 by Rascalov

Senyth
So I see that the achievement guide and your video both recommend Chaos's Revenge for Aeronite, but when I completed quest 3, I didn't realize loot appeared at your feet after a boss fight and missed it. Is there any way to get it in the same playthrough or will I have to wait until NG+? And perhaps more importantly, is there another way to kill Aeronite? I tried to fight him, but couldn't even come close to staggering him. :/
ImaginaryRuins
The sword could still be at the same spot, I mean the bridge to the Goddess Temple. If not, NG+ and Caius will drop the sword again
Senyth
I checked the bridge already and it was gone. NG+ it is, then! I'll just have to remember not to miss it again...

Asturgis
I really wish some good people would share their set-up. I know you can see it for a few frames at the beginning of the vids, but I am especially wondering about weapons and accessories. The Prima Guide says to buy 2 Noblesse Véronique shields and 2 Demon Claw, 1 Morgenstern and 1 Blasphemy just to kill Buni, Aero and Eresh on a 1st PT. And there is no way in Hell I am going to farm and throw away that much GIL before starting my first Hard run and buying what I really want. I do know about forging, weapons and shields potential, and the fact that you can basically choose any version of a weapon and max it up to the same numbers, but in a dress-up game, I want to buy the best-looking gear. So, can I beat the 3 bad ones without buying new weapons and shields, and if so, what do I use? I have all DLC and every in-game drop. Thank you. Asturgis
You've made some pretty cool dress-up choices my friend, nice looking garbs As for the weapons, you're basically using Flesh Render, Ballad's sword (God I hate this character) and what you got from opening the Highways, so I can try that, thank you for proving it's enough. I also see you haven't really begun to synthesize abilities, I mean you have, but you don't seem to have "infused" them, just boosted some rares, and you have the stats of someone who has done pretty much every quest on a first run, like me, so seeing you do it gives me hope, especially for Aeronite, which took you… Less time than Ereshkigal? 25 minutes for Ereshkigal seems a lot. What happened ? Anywho, thanks a lot, man Can I use one of those set-ups for Bhuni? I will farm Double-Deity on my first run, even if it's dumb. It is, the best double-blade in the game, with Gagnarad as a not so close second, which makes it my ideal SAB (default role) weapon. Heaven's Bridge has better stats than Gagnarad, but not as good passive abilities, so that's one less über-weapon to buy on Hard. I 5 starred it, no idea how but the first 3 forms I flew by in a blink and the 4th was the worst. And yes on EASY mode. Asturgis
That's 2 Demon Claws and 2 Noblesse Véronique to buy right there. Your set-up is exactly the same as the one from the Prima Guide. I want to avoid buying medium yet very expansive gear before starting Hard mode, so I guess I'll try this set-up, but with lesser weapons and shields. Thanks for taking the time to write a detailed answer man

Thanks for taking the time to write a detailed answer man I only bought one of the NV shields and one weapon, the morgenstern. The shield is very good and has nice ATB speed boost, I have it close to maxed out now. The above setup is not mine, as don't have it captured yet. Need to go back to older saves now that I have plat the game and get my setup. The lancet on 2 I did not even know how to use it so did not use much.
