Gackt
Rent unless I really really REALLY REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAALLLY love a game.
Skorpion XBA
I rent the majority of my games (GameFly). I buy brand new games maybe twice a year.
FallenNow
Normally depends on the game. Resident Evil 6 for example, rented for 4 days missing 2 achievements. So I turned in the game and plan on buying it and the new dlc after the holidays.
Akuza
rent, cheaper that way if the game is a pile of ..... unless its something thats import only, then ill buy it without a thought.
Tatanko
I really only rent. If it's something I know I'm going to sink a lot of time into, like an online multiplayer, then I'll buy it. That would be things like Battlefield, Mass Effect 3, Halo, etc. Obviously you can't rent Arcade games, but I tend to only buy ones I know I'm going to enjoy or that have been reviewed well like Bastion, Minecraft, etc.
Ice Car
I usually buy. I don't make purchases on games that often anyway.
ChickinOnaChain
95% buy. My "renting" is actually me buying a used copy and either taking it back when I'm done or keeping it.
HDresden
must be nice for all of you to still be able to rent games. We don't have any rent by mail options in Canada (our postal system is terrible), and there isn't any more video rental franchises or stores left. There is one local run video store I know of in my city, but it's a 25-30 min drive from my house and they don't get very many games. So I buy a lot of games, but I also skip out on many & never get to play ones I'd like to at least try.

Stoooooooie
I've never really liked renting games. I love keeping them and digging them back out a few months later. But I normally buy a dirt cheap preowned game every month and then rent it out to my friends when I've gone through it and get the money back. Haha. I used to rent games whenever I could back when the stores were common place. It would be a great way to trial a game and see if it was worth buying. Nowadays, I'm forced to just wait until the game has dropped in price if I'm unsure about it.
Burning Karma
Buy. I honestly can't remember the last time I rented a game.
Report Fast
I buy new games that I know I really want, and am going to want for my collection (Gears, Cods, Halos, ect.) Other than that I search for deals on cheap less than $10 games. Then I rent newer games that are still pricey, but I want to play (res evil 6, Assassins creed 3, ect). DaveBodom
Buy, ive never rented games really, i did a few times way back during the ps1 days, but i always found i'd rent them and something would always come up so i never had time to even bother playing them. I'd just prefer to have the game, even if its not very good/long.
Barad
I've never rented a game in my life. Always buy.
cjdavies
Don't have time if I rent games so buying is the better option. I will be renting Spec Ops: The Line though as it's too short as I havea £29 gift card from Lovefilm to use at my parents address for 2 months, so will rent short length shooters. YorkusRex
I misread the title as "Do NOT Buy or Rent Games" and thought it was a thread advocating game theft. That said: generally buy.
Delow317
I have searched and couldn't find this thread I personally buy Me too! I'm also a collector, so renting makes 0 sense to me unless I did sell off a turd and found out later that it got DLC that I wanted to complete it. But so far that hasn't happened to me, I havn't rented a game since my gamefly trial last year. Before then, i havn't rented a game since the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive.. yes really. haha!
