synister EFFECT
Is there a tutorial for inserting different fonts into gimp? If not, could someone tell me, because there is like 4 font files for gimp, and I have tried putting the new font into all of them, and it still doesn't work. ThunderStorm101
did you move the file into the windows font folder? Start > run > C:\Windows\Fonts
Otisbum
Don't you have to manually install fonts? I didn't know you could just place them in the folder.

antnie
2 questions. 1. How do you add new texts to GIMP? 2. In GIMP how do you remove the yellow box around a text area, once you are done using the text? I say this because half of my pictures have a yellow text border, box thing around it. HitmanIV
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but i will post it anyway. Does anyone know were I can get a free copy of software to start making my own signatures? Preferably for free? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks. Otisbum
@Kiwi: Follow everything up to the Fonts folder (in Control Panel), then just drag the fonts into the window and they will install. @antnie: 1. Go to Control Panel, Fonts, then drag and drop the downloaded fonts into that window. 2. The yellow box doesn't show up in the pictures when viewed, it's just there to let you know how much of that layer you can edit. To make this box fit around the entire canvas, click Layer -> Image To Layer Size. @Hitman: Google "gimp". It's the best free program you can get. Know that it takes a little while to get installed and warm up each time you open it. Edited June 4, 2008 by Otisbum

HitmanIV
I cannot use GIMP for some reason I cant find anyway of doing anything in it. Does anyone know if I can get my hands on a free copy of Photoshop CS3 or would my Photoshop 7.0 still make sigs good? Any help is appreciated.
Nightdragon
Photoshop 7.0 still works, its just missing a few updates with some different filters etc that CS2/3 have. Also, the only CS3 you will find that is free is completely illegal, so we will not discuss that further
HitmanIV
OK cool. How do I install new brushes into my photoshop 7.0 that was what I was stuck with and I thought that it would be easier on CS3.
