Welcome to MXGP: The Official Motocross Game. The game is a realistic turn on the official MX1 and MX2 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship, featuring 60 riders, 60 bikes and 14 tracks. The game features several game modes including the core Career mode, 16 player Multiplayer, Championships, Time Attacks & Instant Race.

Career

By playing two seasons in the Career, the first in the MX2 class and the second in the MX1 class (which you will accept a contract for), you will unlock 6 out of the 7 achievements for 190:gsicon: directly linked to the Career. The seventh achievement (Motocross star) will take an extra 11 seasons. In addition to the 6 achievements, you will also unlock another 25 achievements for 410:gsicon: by progressing through and completing the two Career seasons.

1 Million Fans Grind

The (Motocross star) achievement will be the last achievement you unlock, and it takes an extremely long time in comparison to every other achievement put together. There is no shortcut or quick method to earn fans, as they are awarded in set amounts by playing through seasons in the Career. At the end, this achievement will add an extra 40 hours to your playtime in order to gain the completion. Please see relevant achievement for more details.

Multiplayer

The game only has 6 online achievements for 120:gsicon:. You will earn 2 for 50:gsicon: simply for playing for a total of 3 hours in online races, win or lose. They must be valid races, as in you will have to finish events to the end as DNF's are not acceptable. You will earn another 2 for 20:gsicon: for simply participating in and completing an online Grand Prix and a Championship. The last 2 for 50:gsicon: is earned in the Online Season mode for getting promoted to the MX1 class and then the MX1 Elite class. This is not difficult at all and you're basically not required to beat any human opponents, as long as you're patient. Please see relevant achievements for more details.

Misc

There are several miscellaneous achievements some of which you will earn through naturally playing the Career, others you will have to go out of your way a little, but none are difficulty in any matter. Typical achievements include creating your rider, customizing your rider, entering the pit menu, entering replay mode, earning fans in Career, levelling up in Career, completing and winning a race on very track, getting pole positions and earning holeshots.

Conclusion

MXGP is an extremely easy game to complete, and as mentioned you just need to play two seasons in Career, and a couple hours of Mulitplayer to unlock all but one achievement, and this can be done in 2-3 days of reasonable playtime. The last achievement for the 1 million fans grind will take much longer.

The handling and physics of the bikes themselves feel quite unstable and fiddly at first, but you will soon get used to this after a few races. A useful tip is that you should not rely on the leaning mechanism of the game too much, and instead take corners by letting go of the acceleration and smoothly turn your rider, this will result in less crashes and falling off your bike.

Achieve a Team Objective in Career mode

When in Career mode and on the Calendar, you will notice a Team Objective target on the bottom right which requires you to finish a race with a certain amount of points (e.g. 25 points = 1st, 15 points = 6th place etc.) so you must simply meet one of these targets in a Career race.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/-nV6OA==.jpg Look, I'm in MXGP Mag!! 20:gsicon:

Get your picture on the cover of "MXGP Mag"

The first time you appear on the MXGP Magazine is near the end of your first MX2 season, assuming you have been winning the majority of the races so far and are in 1st place on the championship leaderboard, this will unlock at around race 11 or 12. From then on, you will be on the magazine cover constantly after each race victory.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/-5WCqw==.jpg Let's get serious 30:gsicon:

Sign your first contract in the MX1 class in Career mode

During your Career championships, every few races you manager will let you know of various contract offers from several teams. These offers will pop up automatically after returning to the Career menu after finishing races. During the end of your first MX2 season, at around race 9 or 10 you will receive your first batch of MX1 class offers. Simply accept into one of the MX1 contracts for the achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/-LKWpQ==.jpg A year to remember 90:gsicon:

Win a Championship in any class in Career mode

To win a Championship, you need to first complete and win your first MX2 season, at this point you will have signed up with a MX1 contract. Continue on with your second season, and assuming you have been winning every race, this achievement will unlock at race 10.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/-VJuNg==.jpg Promising rider 10:gsicon:

Get 20000 fans in Career mode

Fans are different to XP which is earned to level up. Fans have no real value in game but they are earned in three ways, placing high in a race, completing team objectives and completing rider challenges. Challenges are completed by simply beating certain riders in a race and placing in a specific position or higher, therefore placing first will guarantee the maximum amount of fans available in a race. 20,000 fans will come at around a quarter way through your first season.

Get 40000 fans in Career mode

Fans are different to XP which is earned to level up. Fans have no real value in game but they are earned in three ways, placing high in a race, completing team objectives and completing rider challenges. Challenges are completed by simply beating certain riders in a race and placing in a specific position or higher, therefore placing first will guarantee the maximum amount of fans available in a race. 40,000 fans will come at around halfway through your first season.

Get 1000000 fans in Career mode

Fans are different to XP which is earned to level up. Fans have no real value in game but they are earned from three ways, placing high in a race, completing team objectives and finally rider challenges. Challenges are completed by simply beating certain riders in a race and placing in a certain position, therefore placing first will guarantee the maximum amount of fans available in a race.

This is the longest achievement in the game. Your earn roughly 80,000 fans per season in Career assuming you win every race, therefore you will need to play a total of 12.5 seasons in the Career to gain 1 million fans. After you have completed your first two seasons to gain all other achievements in the game, this is an additional 40 hour grind including loading times.

Enter the Bike Set-up menu in the Pit

You can unlock this after entering your first event in the Career. You will be dropped into your “Pit” which is essentially a pre-race menu where you're able to go on the track and start the current event, skip to a further event or enter the Bike set-up and tweak and tune your bike. Simply hover to the right and enter the Bike set-up and the achievement will unlock.

Before starting a race, go into the Riding Assist option and set the Physics to Pro. You will not notice a large difference between this and Base settings, but the bike will be considerable more sensitive to your handling of the bike. You do not have to win the race, simply pass the finish line to completion. This can be done in any offline mode as well as online.

Get pole position in an offline Qualifying session

You must come in first place out of the 16 total players in a Qualifying event in any offline mode, which includes Career, Grand Prix & Championship. The best way to gain this is to play either Career or Grand Prix as these modes have a Practice event. Once in the Pit, skip to the qualifying and have a look at the lap time of the rider who came in 1st during the Practice. Now aim to beat this time by at least 1 second for a guaranteed Pole position in Qualifying. Once you’re confident with a lap time, you can either press RB in the leaderboards screen to fast forward the 30 minutes to the end of the session or you can skip to the first Race event entirely and the achievement will unlock.

Ride for a total of 300 km (187 miles) in any offline mode

Offline modes consist of Career, Grand Prix, Championship & Instant Race. Assuming you have only played the Career mode, this will unlock halfway through your second season. You can check your progress by going into Main Menu > My MXGP > Offline Stats, shown right at the top under Global Statistics.

Spend a total of 2 minutes airborne from jumps in any offline mode

You will mostly unlock this by after completing a two-lap practice, qualifying event or race. Jumps are scattered throughout each track frequently and you will learn to lean your biker higher to make your jumps bigger as you race more.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/5--EQ0U=.jpg The perfect weekend 50:gsicon:

Get pole position and win both races in the same offline Grand Prix

This must be done in the Grand Prix mode from the Main Menu. Pick your preference of either MX1 or MX2 bikes, either an official or your custom rider and continue to choose whichever track you most feel confident on. Now make sure to go into Race Options and set the race length to 3 laps, Race session to Full Weekend & AI Difficulty to Easy. Once in the pit, continue to skip to the Qualifying event so you have an idea of what time to aim for to gain a Pole position during Qualifying (finish in 1st place in Qualifying round) then continue on to win both races for the achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/5-zjV0s=.jpg Great come back 30:gsicon:

Win a race starting from the last position

This can be done in Career mode. Simply start an event set to double race in Race setting. This means you will skip the Practice & Qualifying events entirely therefore you will automatically start in 16th position during the race, and from here you should go on to win the race. If the AI difficulty is set to Easy, then you should be able to pass everyone within the first few corners.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/5-0Dr9g=.jpg Getting used to it 20:gsicon:

Compete in valid online races for a total of 60 minutes

Online races include Online Season, Grand Prix & Championship. This counts as time driven on the bike in-race, so you must finish the race for it to be valid. Not finishing in time in a race will result in that time not being added to the achievement.

Complete an Online Grand Prix

When on the Xbox Live menu, go on Online Races and from here you can either search for a Grand Prix event using the filters or create your own and make sure it is set to open, players are likely to join within a few minutes. You do not have to win the Grand Prix, simply pass the finish line to completion.

Complete an Online Championship

When on the Xbox Live menu, go on Online Races and from here you can either search for a Championship event using the filters or create your own and make sure it is set to open, players are likely to join within a few minutes. You do not have to win the Championship, simply pass the finish line to completion. The minimal races you must play are 4 races at 3 laps each so this will take around 1 hour.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/5-hP6qs=.jpg One step ahead 20:gsicon:

In Online Season mode, get promoted to the MX1 class

To get promoted to the MX1 class, you need to earn approximately 72 points to move up to the next class, and you only have 4 races to do this as shown on the Online Season screen. Your only option is to search for a lobby, where the track will be picked randomly. You cannot custom host and invite friends to boost wins. The scoring works like the following;

1st - 25 points

2nd - 22 points

3rd - 20 points

4th - 18 points

This means that simply coming 4th in all 4 races will suffice to move up to the MX1 class and unlock the achievement. If you’re having trouble finishing in higher places against too many human players, you can search until you’re put into an empty lobby which means you’re the host, allowing you to kick players. Therefore, starting a race with just 1 other player will prove the easiest method to earn your points.

Online races always have 12 riders, meaning any missing human players will be replaced with AI, who are extremely easy to beat. As you only have 4 races before your season is reset, if you think during a race that you’re not going to finish in the top 4, you can simply quit out from the race from the pause menu, there is no need to go to the dashboard, as your remaining races will not decrease by quitting.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/5-mvEjg=.jpg Best of the best! 30:gsicon:

In Online Season mode, get promoted to the MX1 Elite class

To get promoted to the MX1 Elite class, you need to earn approximately 100 points to move up to the next class, and you only have 45 races to do this as shown on the Online Season screen. Your only option is to search for a lobby, where the track will be picked randomly. You cannot custom host and invite friends to boost wins. The scoring works like the following;

1st - 25 points

2nd - 22 points

3rd - 20 points

4th - 18 points

This means that simply coming 3rd in all 5 races will suffice to move up to the MX1 Elite class and unlock the achievement. If you’re having trouble finishing in higher places against too many human players, you can search until you’re put into an empty lobby which means you’re the host, allowing you to kick players. Therefore, starting a race with just 1 other player will prove the easiest method to earn your points.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/5-zpUf4=.jpg Holeshot master 50:gsicon:

Get 10 Holeshots in any offline mode

A holeshot is earned by coming out in first place out of the first corner. This is only earned on the first lap of a race. This is easiest done by holding the :rtbut: down and the :rs: forward to lean the driver forward from the start of the race on take-off, this should give you a little boost. When approaching the corner, instead of breaking you should let go of the accelerator and gently steer with just the :ls:. Leaning with :rs: is optional but risky and it will often make your rider crash due to the games physics. Whoever is given the holeshot of the race is shown on the bottom left for a few seconds. This must be done in 10 unique races, you cannot restart the same race 10 time and do this.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2916/5-8ooNg=.jpg Around the world 90:gsicon:

Complete one valid race on each track in the game in any offline mode

Offline modes consist of Career, Grand Prix, Championship & Instant Race. You need to simply cross the line on all 14 tracks in the game, all of which are featured in the Career, therefore you will automatically unlock this after finishing your first season. The 14 tracks include;

• Losil

• Si Racha

• Valkenswaard

• Agueda

• Beta Carrero

• Ernée

• Maggiora

• Uddevalla

• Kegums

• Hyvinkaa

• Lausitzring

• Bastogne

• Matterley Basin
