Borderlands Claptrap & Repair Kit Locations

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME FRIEND REQUESTS. I AM HAPPY TO ANSWER QUESTIONS BUT I MAY HAVE RENTED/TRADED THE GAME ALREADY. I DON'T ACCEPT RANDOM FRIEND REQUESTS.

You will need to discover the claptrap you want to rescue and then accept a side mission to find the repair kit to save the robot. Normally you need to scale something to find the repair kits, most are hidden near by so this is easier than it sounds.

The screenshots I have provided are to illustrate the locations of each robot and repair kit. Use the maps provided to find each location. Robots are marked with CT and repair kits are marked with an R on the maps.

You will earn the following achievement while following this guide:

Rescue enough Claptraps to earn 42 inventory slots.

Sledges Safehouse

Claptrap - You will find him at the end of a hallway in front of a dartboard. Follow the corridors which snakes around and will make you enter an up stairs area though a broken floor. Keep going and head back down stairs on your path, you will encounter plenty of bandits on your way. Once you are back down stairs look around the hallways to find claptrap.

Repair Kit - Head back to the broken floor/ceiling you climb up to find claptrap. You need to look above the broken floor on top of a air duct to collect the kit.

The Lost Cave

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/guides/421-m2.jpg

Claptrap - Progress though the cave until you come to your first encounter with the bandits. Claptrap will be right in front of you so you can't miss him.

Repair Kit - Keep following the path around the cave until you get to a camp further round the cave system. Make your way up to the bride you walked under to get to your location and look inside the stacked pipes to the left.

New Haven

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/guides/421-m3.jpg

Claptrap - Head to the bounty board and you will find claptrap next to the board on the left hand side.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/guides/421-3ct.jpg

Repair Kit - Head behind the gun store and jump up onto the building with a radar dish behind it. You will find the repair kit on a balcony.

Tetanus Warren

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/guides/421-m4.jpg

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/guides/421-4ct.jpg

Repair Kit - Keep following the path until you hit a camp of bandits, kill them all and then look above. YOu should see the repair kit on a ledge on a sheet of metal. This repair kit is quite difficult to get to so take your time and use the obstacles to make your way up to the repair kit.

Scrapyard

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/guides/421-m5.jpg

Claptrap - Once you have spoken to earl head east, as soon as you have gone through the arch way and encounter a few enemies you will notice your pathway forks. Take the left path and follow it until you get to a second set of shacks. You will find claptrap in-between two of them.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/guides/421-5ct.jpg

Repair Kit - Keep following the path and kill all the bandits, make your way around and up the hill. There are quite a few enemies to kill so take your time and make sure there is no one Left. As you get to the end of the path you will notice you can see the previous location below where claptrap is stranded. The repair kit will be to your left on top of a box.

Krom's Canyon

Claptrap - Once you enter the canyon make your way down the right path. Keep going until you have killed all the enemies on your path. You will need to progress up onto the platforms. Make your way around to the second platform just after you encounter the bandits. You will encounter more bandits. Once you have killed them all follow the path to the left and you will find claptrap next to a structure.

Repair Kit - Turn around and head back down the ramp you walked up to find this area and claptrap. You will see two tall structures with huts inbtween them. Look for a rope hanging in front of the structures on the left and you will see the repair kit hanging from it.

Repair Kit - Look around the bandit camp and you will see a large sewage pipe just above you. You need to make your way to the end of the pipe to collect the repair kit. Follow the pipe around to the east side of the camp where you can climb the rock to gain access to the pipe. Follow the pipe around to collect the repair kit.

Old Haven

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/guides/421-m8.jpg

Claptrap - You need to make your way through Old Haven to the south and past all the guards. Claptrap is a little hidden but you will find him inside a building near one of the smoke signals you need to stop. Use the map to find his location.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/guides/421-8ct.jpg

Repair Kit - This is one of the more difficult repair kits to find. Run across to the other side of Old Haven and use the map to find the area where the kit is. You will find a set of stairs, climb the stairs and turn around. You now need to jump across to another roof, once you make it to the other side the repair kit will be inside a room to your right on a makshift table.

Claptrap - Enter the first big room, you will encounter a turret and a few guards. You will also notice a pile of claptrap's. Once you have cleared the room look among the claptrap's to find one you can save.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/guides/421-10ct.jpg

Repair Kit - Once you have found the claptrap enter a room to the east, or to your left if your facing towards the turret you just destroyed. Make your way to the lower level of this room to find the repair kit on a pile of tires.

Dang Fizzmatix. Wish this had been created before I got Fully Loaded/1000G on this game.

Very, very useful indeed, and far nicer than having to trawl through videos trying to find the specific claptrap you need.

Great work on this Fixx ;) 100% deserving of a Sticky. :D

EDIT ~~~~~~~~~

Only thing I'd recommend that might help this guide a little is that with some repair boxes they're quite well hidden and hard to spot even WITH pictures, so maybe editing the pictures and just drawing a slight circle where the repair box WOULD appear if you'd taken the pictures with them in?

Quite honestly though, this is only a slight issue and I think a lot more people will unlock the Fully Loaded achievement using this guide. :D Great work again, Fizz.

Thanks, this is an official x360a collectible guide. It should help a lot of people, i would have had it up sooner but i've been having issues with my capture device.

As for the circles, it's not really needed. As long as you use the images as a reference you shouldn't have issue seeing the green "shiny" line thing coming from the repair kits.

As long as whoever is using this can read they should be ok ;).

I use a capture device, sadly though it's acting up and i may need to send it in for repair.

May I ask which one? Great quality pics. I had a Dazzle DV9 (I think) back in my Halo 2 capture card montage days, which I think ran me $65. Had its own software which could change quality, etc. but wasn't really too reliable or compatible with other programs I had at the time...

I know there's better stuff now, though I think it runs about $200 (USD), which is pricey IMO, but like everything I guess you pay for quality.

Then you won't want to buy the hauppauge HD PVR, it runs between $200 and $250. It's a good device but i'm having issues, i can't work out if its a bad connection to my computer or if its the unit is defective.

The Clap Trap in Old Haven didn't spwan for me either. Is there anyeway to fix this or will I have to do two playthorughs ?

I had the quest activated through a co-op game (hadn't gotten there on Playthrough 2 yet), and found the Repair Kit. I went to the spot where I knew the Claptrap was and pressed X, and lo and behold, the dialogue box came up, with no Claptrap there! And I didn't even get anything good as a reward either...

Superb job, man! :)

I am currently using this guide, as this achievement is one of the few I have left until 1000. That's what I liked about this game is that the achievements were extremely outlandish like they usually are. They're all perfectly doable.

Congrats on the sticky, it really is a great thread and it deserves it. I credit you for when I reach 1000 on it, since, this guide is easy to understand.

As opposed to the video which is of low quality. I think your thread should replace that video in the guide. :D

Yesterday I was standing on top of the building right next to Dr. Ned's (the building with the very first gun vending maching) and I heard this claptrap yelling at me, so I turn around and there's a green claptrap jumping up and down on top of the big rock. I tried for 20 minutes to get up there, but no luck. How do you get to that claptrap?

Thanks for your help.
