This game has a simple concept. You are stationary and are shooting up at enemies. You just hold your finger(s) where you want to shoot. There is no difficulty to choose from. There is an upgrade system and you will upgrade as you play. There are 3 modes and in the main menu there is an achievement tracker which will show you your progress. The achievement for upgrading seems to glitch for some, as does arcade mode. The fix is to uninstall the game and try again from scratch. Luckily the game doesn't take long to fully upgrade everything. The easiest way to get upgrade points is Survival Mode. While playing the game, if you hold your finger near the bottom, it will form an X of bullets which will pretty much kill everything on screen. It's not fool proof and you may end up dying eventually. It will however, give you a huge advantage. Before starting the actual game, go ahead and go into Help & Options, choose Credits, and click on a few names that appear to get your first easy achievement.
Step 1: Arcade Mode
There is no need to actually finish or get very far in this mode. Your main goal is to get upgrade points and to try to reach specific waves with a certain percentage of accuracy. This is best done by buying the Battle Cry modification which makes everything 50% slower. Once you have obtained these, you will want to focus on getting to Wave 10 using only 1 finger. Do not put two on the screen for any reason. If you are having troubles, complete Step 2 instead, which does allow you to get your upgrade points faster. Then you can try Arcade again, fully upgraded.
Step 2: Survival Mode
There are no achievements associated with this at all. Though, you can obtain playing 10 Arcade Modes through this. Your main focus here is to gain upgrade points. Just hold your finger near the center bottom to create an X of bullets. Go until you die, and repeat until you are fully upgraded and have the Battle Cry Modification.
Step 3: Architect Mode
This is the worst of the modes, you must create your own base and actually need to plan things out. The worst part is if something dies, you have to rebuild it or build something else. The waves get increasingly difficult. The achievement associated with this is building 4 Laser Towers and shooting them all at once. The hard part is actually building them. You'll be in good shape if you can even get 2 created and still be surviving. This is a hard achievement if done without any modifications.
You should have obtained all of the "shoot total" and "block total" achievements. They are accumulative through all modes. Though by the end of all other achievements, you may need some more blocking with your shields. The game has mostly easy achievements and should be a somewhat satisfying completion.

Pew Pew 20
Shoot a total of 10,000 light gun bullets.
Light Guns shoot bullets. They shoot very fast and this will be one of the first achievements you get in the game. As you upgrade them, they will fire even more. You will get this in a game or two most likely
Blam Blam 20
Shoot a total of 3,000 heavy gun shots.
As you progress through arcade, you'll soon start seeing these Heavy Guns. They shoot what appears to be plasma shots. This will take a little bit longer, as you must get farther to earn them. You may also get them in Survival mode quickly. When you start this mode, you already have the weapons.
Zap Zap 20
Shoot a total of 1,000 laser bolts.
The Laser Towers will start appearing last. They shoot very slow unless upgraded to max. You should get this as you play through the later levels in arcade. You can also get these in Architect mode. You may also get them in Survival mode quickly. When you start this mode, you already have the weapons.
Impenetrable Defense 20
Block over 1,500 enemies with shields.
Shields form around the bases. After upgrading them and playing for the other achievements, you should start getting this a little bit faster as the alien ships crash into them. This will take multiple plays to accomplish. Each shield (when maxed) should be able to block up to 10 enemies.
Tip: If you still need this achievement, the easiest way to grind this out is to start Survival Mode and let yourself die. Repeat as needed, you should get 20+ blocks each attempt.
Stick It To 'Em 5
Use a single finger to reach Wave 10 in Arcade mode.
You might not have even known you could use two fingers to shoot in at two target points. Just keep using only one finger going until Wave 10. The achievement will unlock after you are die, not at the wave. You can continue on for fun or die on purpose.
Note: Setting must be on "Point and Drag" mode.
Get to Wave 3 in Arcade mode with an accuracy above 25%.
There is no way to actually tell what percentage your accuracy is at. You must beat the first 2 waves in arcade with higher than 25%. You can use a modification called "Battle Cry" after you buy it to help with this achievement. It slows everything down 50%. The trick is to let things hit your base and possibly even destroy one of your light guns in the first round. Try to only shoot when there are a lot of things on the screen at once. Once Wave 3 starts, don't shoot at all and let yourself die.
Get to Wave 5 in Arcade mode with an accuracy about 40%.
This is like the Sharpshooter achievement except you'll need a higher percent and get to wave 5. You can stack this with Special Forces, which is the other accuracy achievement. I suggest going for Special Forces and you should be able to pick this up along the way. You will want to use the Battle Cry modification to slow everything down. This can be done with max upgrades. Just be selective on how you shoot. You will have the chance to shoot a box that moves slowly on the screen. The more you shoot it, the more your percentage will go up. You can also do this with a boss. Make sure you focus all guns on them. If they move, make sure to move with them so you don't start missing.

Special Forces 15
Get to Wave 8 in Arcade mode with an accuracy above 50%.
This will be a tough achievement for some people. Like the other accuracy achievements, you must maintain it until the specified wave. In this case, it's Wave 8. Shoot only when needed or when you have a easy shot. Make sure when a bonus box is floating above, to put all fire onto it when you can. The boss also helps on wave 5. Once you reach Wave 8, die. If you didn't get any achievements, you will have to try again. Use the Battle Cry modification to make things easier.
Don't Cross the Streams 25
Build 4 lasers in Architect mode and fire them all at once.
You must build your own base and progress through various waves. You can build/upgrade what you want, but nothing respawns if you lose them. Building more Cities gives you a faster cash flow, but then you have less defenses. The only way to be successful is to have a good amount of bases and upgraded Light Guns. Keep everything close together to be shielded. This will take many successful wave defenses to gain enough "extra money" to get the lasers. You must build 4 Laser Towers which costs a total of 1200. After building them you just have to fire on the screen so that they all shoot at once. Below is the suggested method to gain the achievement easily.
Modifications needed: Battle Cry and Lazy Mode
Stage 1: 1 Light Gun and 1 Laser Tower put next to the City.
Stage 2: 1 Light Gun and 1 Laser Tower (opposite sides of stage 1)
Stage 3: Do nothing
Stage 4: Build last 2 Laser Towers.
Now after all your lasers shoot, let yourself die and gain the achievement.
Thanks to Mieces87 for Lazy mod tip
Welcome to the Club 15
Played 10 Arcade games.
As the achievement states, except it also counts the other modes as well. You will get this along the way attempting the rest of the achievements. It's okay if you die. Some people have been reporting to play more than 10, yet still not get the achievement. Try to exit the game after every play and continue to get all other achievements. If this is your last achievement, uninstall and reinstall the game and try again.
Maximum Awesome 25
Fully upgrade everything.
Currently glitching for some
This achievement is not unlocking for some players. The fix seems to be to uninstall the game, and start over from scratch again.
There are 5 different upgrades to max out. Light Guns, Heavy Guns, Laser Towers, Defensive Cities, and Overdrive. They cost 10, 50, 100, 200 upgrade points to max out. This means you will need a total of 1800 points to max out everything. The best way to earn credits is to get as far as you can in Arcade Mode. Upgrade the Light Guns first. The best way to play the game is when you have a lot of Light Guns, start the two points for firing and cross them in an X-form. When fully upgraded, you can literally just sit there and move through waves without even looking at the screen. This will help you get the credits for everything else faster.
Easy Method: Play Survival Mode. Put your finger down near the center bottom of the screen. It will be an X-shape of firepower which will protect you as well as kill pretty much everything that comes by. You will get upgrade points the fastest this way.
Perfectly Efficient 15
Destroy 50 enemies at once with a single Overdrive blast.
An Overdrive Blast is the super weapon you can use after scoring multiple kills. It goes down if you aren't shooting anything. Once it hits 100%, you just tap the bar on the top of the screen. Alternatively you can swipe 3 fingers upwards to activate it. A blast goes from bottom to top killing everything in it's way (except bosses). You will likely just get this playing along. The farther you get in waves, the higher chance you will get to killing 50 in a single shot. The achievement unlocks after the game ends.
Point out your heroes!
When you start the game, go to Help & Options. Pick Credits, and as the credits roll, click on the a name or two and the achievement will unlock.

I found playing in Survival Mode with the Chipmunk Speed Modifier on cut about an hour+ off the Road Map's playtime. It was literally taking more time to start a new Survival Game than it was for me to earn anywhere between 30-90 credits a go. You can also grind out all the weapon/shield achievements much faster this way.

I did this on Survival, but it probably works in other modes too. If you press the Start button just before the end of a game (e.g. when your last tower is gone), when you go back to the game, the game will end and you'll get your credits. Then, just play Survival again, you'll be given the option to Continue, and you'll get the end game credits again. You can actually do this as many times as you want (or at least, quite a number of times).
Also good to have Chipmunk mode (2x speed) on for Impenetrable Defense.

thanks for the guide mate. this games achievements all came pretty easy for me thanks to this. the accuracy achievements were a bit of a pain, but I think I got fairly lucky they unlocked easily (though glitched a bit, didnt unlock after the game but at a later time in the main menu randomly).

Haven't had a problem with any achievement except for get the 40% accuracy. Got the 25 and the 50% ones in the same playthrough, but not the 40%. And maximum awesome unlocked without a problem.
After uninstalling the game and downloading it again and a few attempts later; I got the 40% achievement. It's much easier with your weapons having no upgrades. Definitely get the slow mo again.

I do not know how the hell you are supposed to have it easier with lazy mode... It makes the enemies stop, OK, would be great, but at the same time my bullets fall off and I can only hit something if they are right at the shield. Was it done in one of the title upgrades?? Or am I missing something?

For the "Stick It To 'Em" achievement, it should be noted in the achievement guide that you must be in Point and Drag mode or you will not get the achievement. I got past Wave 10 numerous times with only one finger, did not get the achievement, and tried to figure out why it wasn't unlocking. It turned out that my settings were on Thumbstick mode for some reason. I changed it to Point and Drag mode, and then the achievement unlocked first try. If this is added to the achievement guide, it should help prevent anyone from having the same issues that I did.
