Hey guys Powerman and I have been working really hard on bringing you an informative guide for Dragons Dogma, and weve been getting lots and lots of messages over XBL asking for help on pretty specific quests, as Im sure a couple others are as well. We dont mind helping out whatsoever, in fact, we encourage asking for help, but managing all the questions over XBL is becoming a hassle so we just ask that you post any questions about anything you have in this thread. You will get a much better answer and faster response and it will definitely reduce the amount of repeat questions. Thanks a ton

*cracks neck* Well this is handy indeed. I had some rather specific questions. First of all is the Abyssial Armor set the best armor in the game along with the 4 masks? I know quite a few helms have more defense but the status protection and added benefits seem to be great.

After that what is the best clothing and capes that you can get? On my warrior I have a Silver Coat and Silver Hosen but they look a tad... silly with the Abyssial Armor. I saw someone with Dragon Leather which seemed pretty good but I have no idea how I'd get it. Same with the Swordsman's Mantle no idea where to find that.

Finally I was wondering about Jewelry. I didn't make a fake copy of the Wyrmking Ring and it seems like a good piece for magic users. But what about warriors. They just seem to have status protection and the nails +10 Strength isn't a whole lot.

Thanks a lot for the info if you have any.

Respawntime for drake, chimaera, ogre etc. :)

Drakes takes a little longer to respawn that ogres and chimeras, about 2-3 days. Others usually take 1-2

@Sparda Ah thats a huge question. Its really all about how you want to play your character, with more defense than offense or you want more buffs and status protection. Ill look in the book and update in a little but keep in mind that each set of armor and weapons can go up to a potential 4 stars, and from 3 to 4 is a massive increase in stats. So you might think something you have is better but until you max both out you wont know

True, but looking at the base stats of both item is usually a good way to tell which will end up better.

Yea I thought that at first too but after looking at the guide, its really a toss up. Obviously most of the weapons you find earlier are not going to be as good as the ones in find in the Everfall and from loot drops from bosses.

Oh and as far jewelry, I literally never forged anything unless it was for a quest or something, because the forged item doesnt have any of the stats the original does, so its kind of pointless.

During the 'Land of Opportunity' quest, you're supposed to talk to the three tenants, and then get their consent. Once you get two of them, then you're supposed to find Jasper........................except that for some strange reason, I can't find him anywhere. I've been searching for the past 30 minutes, also going to the inn and sleeping to see if it would make him appear. Is this a bug?

If your facing the Inn in Gran Soren, He should be hanging out to the left of it by the path going down. Usually during the daytime. Look & wait around that area. He should show, That is where i found him in both playthroughs. Btw he is the Old looking Dude

I had that problem too. If you find the guy that gave you the quest in the Noble Quarter you can just buy the property from him for 80,000 gold. The people will be really happy. This is the best outcome to the quest from what I can tell. So I just did that.

Thanks, I just did that. Another question, I need to find War Bugles for this notice board quest. Any good place to farm them?

There is one notice board quest for killing undead soldiers. You get 40 from doing this. That's how I did it. Other than that, you can find them in the Encampment by the innkeeper after sleeping there. There are usually about two in the sacks you can gather from. You can also find them scattered all over the world. Hope that helps.

It does, kind of. I already did that quest, but my genius brain decided to sell them all, thinking they weren't important. Guess I'll just keep sleeping and picking them up in the encampment.

So Im finally at the Everfall and have tried to face Ur Dragon a few time. Started at Generation 15, sleep, 17, sleep, now 19. Im getting POS drops from my "efforts and have a few questions.

1. What is a good group to fight Ur Dragon?

Im a Lvl 58 Mystic Knght v3 with my main as a Warrior v10, and I hire a Ranger v10 and Mage v10 with High Adoyne? Im doing more recoveries to the pawns then trying to fight the Ur Dragon.

2. IF or should I say when I die should I use a Wakestone? or Retry?

Ive used a Wakestone previously and die again shortly after since my Pawns (see above) are usually DBNO.

I had started a fight with the Ur Dragon and he was missing 2 dots and when I had died he was missing 3 dots and half life. But when I died I selected "Retry" and he was back to 2 dots and missing 9/10?

3. Is there a good time of day to fight Ur Dragon so I can actually get som decent loot drops?

Oh man I feel your pain. I've learned to keep everything I find in RPGs. In fact, I have a ton of dumb stuff in storage right now. Everything from buckets and rocks to skulls. Pro tip: Don't sell Seeker's Tokens. You need 20 of these for a quest, and they're hard to find without duping or forging. I assume you must need skulls for something since I finished a quest and got 60 of them as a reward.

The thing is I also go by the looks of an item. Bugles don't look very important, so I didn't care. However, the seeker tokens looked important, so I kept them lol, and did that quest.

I remember that about skulls, but they're really easy to find. Around gran soren, at night there's ton of skeleton enemies who can drop them.

Another question (I guess my luck sucks) the 'Escort Duty' quest isn't coming up. I've fulfilled all the requirements and it's not appearing. I guess I can just do some other quests, but I wanted to do them in order according to the other thread about the quests.

Yes, there is a notice board quest that requires 66 skulls, you get the quest at one of the notice boards in grand soren after speaking with the duke.

Just a quick question: Do augments carry over different vocations? I'm currently running with: Vigilance, Endurance, Dexterity, Fitness, Leg Strength and Fortitude, but I don't seem to be getting the effects of some of them (I did playthrough 1 as a strider, now going through as a fighter) such as dexterity or fitness.

Do they not stack over vocations, or am I just imagining that I'm not getting these bonuses?
