Hey guys, i have many informations, but this time i will present you some news about the Weapons in NG3.

Here is actual gameplay footage of the Falcon Talons (claws) in the first level.

It looks like the "extra" weapons will be added to the game via DLC. I wonder if they'll be more added later or if the Falcon Talons and Eclipse Scythe will be the only ones?

Also, makes you wonder what other things may be added via DLC? Outfits, characters, ninpo?

So far, the only DLC that we know about are.....2 extra weapons, 2 multiplayer maps, and 1 extra single player difficulty setting (Ultimate Ninja).

Yeah dude ,if they could bring out more weapons ,i would be much much happier. I mean they can still keep their "Steel on Bone Concept" its working with other weapons too ,so go team ninja give us more weapons.

They wanted to focus on katana but i hope they realize that this can be boring with the time ,but with other weapons , the game can get much more replay value.

I acknowledge that they're different beasts, but may I remind everyone that the first God of War, and technically the second, only had "one" weapon in them and everyone praises that series consistently.

The chains were the go-to weapons (square square triangle FTW), but there were other weapons in GOW1 and 2. GOW1 had the blade of artemis, and GOW2 featured a hammer and a spear.

On topic, the problem is, IMO, that only the DS + almost nothing but humanoid enemies mean that Izuna Drop+flying swallow will be even more overused than in NG1+2.

I saw a couple you tube videos, and it's all ID spamming till the ninpo meter is full and/or ryu's arm stats to glow red, and it gets old very quick, especially since UTs are now auto aimed and you don't have to manage the orbs or master OLUTs any longer, and you lose your ninpo if you don't use it anyway.

Well that's basically what Ninja Gaiden 2 was on Master Ninja as well. Drops everywhere.

.

On some parts yes (even though the IS ninjas were very good at grabbing you as soon as you landed on MN) but, as I wrote in my previous post, a healthy percentage of the enemies weren't humanoids (van gelfs, werevolwes, mechs, spider ladies, rasetsus), meaning you couldn't izunadrop them, and performing / chaining UTs required actual skill.

I can see why someone could watch a MN video of NG1 or NG2 where the player does nothing but FS+ID+OLUT and find that boring, but playing like that required actual mastery of the game and therefore felt rewarding for those who embraced that playstyle. Not so much in NG3, apparently, meaning that there would be little reason to do anything else.

Question, there is this Achievement called "Master of the Katana" which tells you that you have to raise the katana level to 10... how can i do that? i mean, i almost finish the game on normal but i dont get experience or something like that... do i have to play in another difficulty or something???

In multiplayer you raise your katana technique level the more you use it.
