so none of my friends are good in halo as i'am. so basically i just go to matchmaking and do co-op online with other people to beat the game on legendary. so far so good expect: people quiting when we get half way or near end just because they die a few times. so any of you have this problem or already beat it on legendary.

solution: don't do online co-op campaign. pairing yourself up with x-factors such as random teammates won't get you far.

you claim your friends aren't as good as you in campaign, but what's stopping you from playing with them? as long as you don't have the iron skull on, i don't see any forseeable problems with playing with trustworthy friends who won't quit or leave you overwhelmed by compaign AI.

if you only limit yourself to playing with people who are better than or is as good as you, you're setting yourself up for disaster. don't exclude your friends just because they don't don't play as well as you; that's uncool. :(

Dude, your friends on their worst day will still be a better alternative to the shitbag AI teamates that Bungie hands you. Besides, who cares if your hanging with friends and having fun? They'll get better.

As far as quitting goes, expect it 100% of the time. Whether it's Halo, COD, Gears, or whatever, most of these communities are comprised of douchebags who'll quit the minute their salad shooters get bent the least bit out of whack about something.

:AR15I hate people who quit the game when they are loosing or are about to loose, it is so frustrating to waste all that time playing with them and you have to start all over because they quit on you.

It's also frustrating to be spawn trapped repeatedly game after game. I don't blame people who quit when the other team is playing like that.

are you not good enough to beat it by yourself then? (since you stated that your better then your friends)

besides if you go for achievements its a requirement to play legendary by yourself.

its really not that hard. ive probably put in 2 hours and already on the 4th mission. ive heard campaign only takes 10 hours.

Legendary is mostly trial and error with some skill mixed in. You'd might as well just play through it yourself, as MrOleg said.

But if you're really after that co-op play, you need to realize that even the worst players can be good assets. They will take some of the fire, fire back themselves, spawn with more grenades and ammo to use or for you to pick up when they die, and best of all spawn you and the other players if you die and they're still alive.

I played through the first Halo with my dad years ago on Legendary, and we made it through the whole thing. He's not very good at Halo, but I told him where to stand and he was able to shoot the enemies while trying to stay alive to keep me spawning.

you got a point maybe i downgraded my friends cause im better than them. how shitty was that but the worst part is that ever since black ops came out they dont even wont to play reach with me. so now im reduced to playin with online quiter's who makes me not want to get the achievement.

Here's my way.

-Take the Target Locator (legit, which means you need to kill the first wave, don't cut corners like these people ;)).

-Bomb the first Wraith.

-Headshot the three Grunts and then whittle down the Elite with DMR fire until he's dead. Keep moving so the second Wraith doesn't kill you. Once this is done, kill the Grunt gunner in the Wraith.

-Steal the Wraith. He'll try to boost and splatter you, so take an oblique angle until his boost is gone (fyi, he will not fire shells within a certain range). Then, jump on the Wraith and punch the driver until he falls out. Do not punch any more than that or use a grenade; both will destroy the tank.

-Drive to the area overlooking the AA gun, destroying all before you.

-Upon reaching the AA area, stop and get out of the Wraith. Don't go near the gun building (actually, don't even go near enough for the Elite General on top of the building to react to your presence).

-Bomb the Elite General. Sometimes, this has taken out an additional seven enemies. Sometimes, it's only two. Regardless, you'll punch a pretty gaping hole in the Covenant defense.

-Drive the Wraith toward the back of the building. Kill anybody that fires at you. Get out behind the building, and haul it to the roof. Hit the gun, then be prepared for a few Specialists. You can either fire and maneuver (yeah, I know it's a game quote, but it works here) or run, jump back in the Wraith, and engage from there. Kill all the enemies one way or another.

-Profit.

Firefight quitters are really annoying.

Are they? They're better than AFK'ers (since for starters - coz they don't recieve the full amount of cR). Especially in Sniperfight - more kills for you and sometimes if there's lag that will disappear too. Lol unless it's Vanilla Firefight or Rocketfight (which I HATE - I could swear damage is reduced unlike Sniperfight which has a 50% attack bonus) then I LOVE quitter's :p.

Anyway back on-topic - you do find the occasionally good (be it skilled or just good natured) player on Co-op Campaign. I've even added some friends to my list and have helped them through the rest of their Legendary Campaign. If you manage to find some "decent" players (can be hard I know) just message them and ask if any will help you play through the rest of Campaign or at least some of it. I've made quite a few online friends that way myself (i.e. with them adding me - I finished Legendary on my own in the first week or so, so it never really benefitted me in a huge way and some people just enjoy replaying Campaign like that).

I know I hate this even my friends who insist that they don't really like cod and they hardly ever play it and that halo is way better only play cod and won't even play a game of halo with me. They just play Black Ops yet Halo is their favorite game. "Ya sure"

CONFESSION: Since this is about quitting. x3

I had to go to the dashboard last night because I had signed on to xbl after I loaded the Reach disc, and I proceeded to go into a lobby in the map pack playlist. Little did I know that all of my DLC had been disabled due to the fact that I signed in at a weird time or something. I was constantly delaying the game until I figured out the problem. Quit my first Reach game ;-;

Haha sorry, but it's a little stupid for your DLC to not load like that. :/

HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, that is weird. Never heard of it happening. Oh well, I won't judge. ;)

I quit out of rocket race every single time. That's it, though.

Alternatively, he could simply plasma pistol the Wraith, then by jumping in the turret the elite driver will jump out of the Wraith thus leaving you with an undamaged Wraith.

Much riskier. If you're going to kill the General at the AA gun, you're going to need heavy ordnance, and he'll dodge long-range shells. You can either use the Target Locator there (meaning you'll have to either avoid or kill the infantry Grunts and Elite in front of the base with just a plasma pistol) or you can go Pistol/DMR, drive up to the building, and shell him directly, hoping he doesn't blow you to pieces with his grenade launcher.

The first option, by the way, leaves you with no good answer on killing the gunner already in the Wraith with just a plasma pistol. You'll have four guys shooting at you (one with a heavy turret, effectively) and the weakest weapon in the game with which to fight them, on Legendary.

Do not punch the driver! This way you damage the tank also. It's much better to enter the gunner seat. This way the driver will exit the tank to try and kill you. Gun him down! Now enter the driver seat, you have just stolen a wraith without damaging it.
