VerifyedRasta
I know I am! The scale of these battles is huge. Definitely a welcomed addition and it feels really polished and well done overall. I honestly feel like this could be a full fledged game in it's own right (If expanded upon, of course)

VerifyedRasta
I sure like what I saw from the "tutorial" mission If you've only done the tutorial mission, you got a lot more to see! The naval missions are actually my favorite part of this game.
StarDreamer99
The naval battles were a good addition. Added some good variety and were done very nicely. That element of AC 3 could serve as a base to build a good pirate adventure game (or somethink of that ilk).
shinobigarth
they could pretty much make a whole game of it, or at the very least a DLC. add more to it, like being able to board an enemy ship whenever you want (rather than only when the game lets you), putting together a fleet of ships and having larger scale battles with the ability to give commands to said ships, docking at a port and pillaging nearby towns (and blackmailing the town to give you money in exchange for not pillaging it anymore), etc. theres a lot of things they could do, even tying it into AC. you could play as Connor's child or grandchild or whatever, and choose to either be sailor\privateer (good) or pirate (evil). Chris Recall
I agree. One of the best parts of the game. I dont know if its because I didnt know this was in the game but when you first get on the ship I was like a kid at christmas when I realised I could control it. StarDreamer99's made a good point and I would love to see it built upon and made into some sort of pirate game. It doesnt even need to be an assassins game. Just do something with it. SpinelesS
yeah, the naval section was awesome (except for a couple sucky optional objectives) First thing I thought when playing was that the mechanics would be perfect for a new Sid Meier's Pirates on the Xbox
rekikire
Really enjoyed the naval section, all about planning ahead, plotting your moves and releasing the devastating broadside. Liked how limited the maneuverability of the ship was. Especially liked the missions when there was a storm, adding a third dimension to the battle. Shabba
Impossible without upgrades and once upgrade were far to easy. Or the optional objectives failded to make any sense fire with the hand cannon to sink ships that are facing your cannons broadside. Or escort a convoy of ships and you are in the middle lane of them and they block your own cannons broadsides, while they are merchant vessels which insist on acting as gunboats. The Man of Wars all went down far to easy a one shot off a ram and a hand cannon, or also from a heat volley. While most frigates would often sink off a single ram or cannon shot. On the plus side though the only oufit I felt comfortable wearing and actually was colonial was the Ship costume Captain Hodds. Although this was different and not as good as the ShipCapitan's oufit while the animus was loading. Yes this was a very enjoyable part of the game. DarkSeraphim198
Agree that the naval battles are one of the best aspects of the game, hopefully more DLC will come based on this mode
E vee dub
I really enjoyed the Naval Battles and was impressed with the handling and the satisfactory cheer from the crew at the end of a battle. Some of the 100% sync requirements were a bit challenging, not to mention "The Giant and the Storm" really frustrating. Let me give an Honorable Mention to the hunting in the game as well. Cabela's hunting could take a few notes on this one aspect of AC3. As I've now played the majority of the game, I can see why this game is so great. Very good game. Box Of Ice
Loved all the naval missions:) But did Mr. Faulkner remind anyone else of Mr. Gibbs from Pirates of the Caribbean? I'm not sure if its his facial hair or my Imagination, but they seem to have that same air about them. Maybe its because they're both first mates:D

VerifyedRasta
I could see some dlc adding multiplayer functionality to these naval battles. I think that would be awesome! Either versus, co-op or both... I'd be happy either way. Some things would have to be tweaked here and there for balance, but I think it could work. Voncarstien161
Do you not think if they introduce multiplay naval battles that they would take for ever, because both players would go round in circles using the side cannons and then bracing whenver shot upon? Hoborg
I hate the game but I absolutely loved the naval battles. Great idea. It's sad that a mini-game is more fun than the main story. Oh well.

bearmod
I don't know about it being its own game but its definitely a lot of fun. When I first heard they were added naval battles I thought it was just gonna be some gimmicky shit they thought of last minute but ill admit I was wrong. Turned out a lot better than I was expecting. UberPirateNinja
I did the story mission where you learnt to sail, and that was it, not a fan here. Doesn't seem very assassin-like to me either, rocking around in a whacking great ship bristling with cannons.

Zemnate
Definitely agree with you. The naval missions are epic and it genuinely feels well made and thought out. I like doing a few things in the game then heading off to the open seas and doing it like that. It's like a cruise break but instead I'm destroying British ships. Ahh, the bliss. DoosMakhina
Naval Missions were fantastic but the Privateer just aren't. Maybe that's because the missions have some narrative, whereas the Privateer ones are so short it's just a case of go here and blow up some ships and repeat.
