iBuzz7S
Starting with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Gamers currently without a Uplay Passport for Black Flag will be able to download one for free from Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. For those who have already purchased Uplay Passport for Black Flag, please contact your regional Ubisoft support. What’s more, Uplay Passport will not be a part of any future Ubisoft games. Good for them. Realising what a mess it was to introduce this, they have decided to scrap it. Or maybe they realised that the season pass makes them more than enough money. kaleido42
Glad to hear this, the way it affected even the singleplayer in AC4 is just stupid. You'd think they'd have learned from the mistakes of EA instead of having to go through all of this themselves.
Lewie B I ReQ
finally glad to hear this i hope eventually they all follow the trend and kill online passes for good, online passes really didnt help games like ninja gaiden and dead or alive games. damn EA for starting that shit lol
Genesis x360a
"Another one bites the dust!" Very good news. I was all in favor of the online pass but now with the introduction of Season Passes I'm glad more companies are dropping the online pass.

Lewie B I ReQ
The should put Uplay in the same guillotine. i got free splinter cell content thanks to uplay
Floorkiller
The should put Uplay in the same guillotine. Why? I've got tons of stuff on uplay, I think it's a great program.
The BEAst in I
The should put Uplay in the same guillotine. Why? It gives us nothing but free stuff. In fact, the stuff I got from it made Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands easier. Free missions, weapons, exercise routines, costumes and themes; just for playing their games. MabusScarab
Online passes are a dirty way to suck more money out of consumers, glad to see Ubisoft decide to take this path after EA did.
Avenged Remains
Good to hear. They really stung themselves by blocking the single player stuff with the online pass. Must have had loads of complaints. Now to make their other online passes free, so I can get the online achievements on AC3...
Puppys
The should put Uplay in the same guillotine. Uplay isn't the problem, I think it's Uplay Passports that draw the line.
VitaminAmy
This is good news... when I read about the AC pass, thought it was lame blocking single player content. I hope future Saints Row games follow and will ditch the online pass as well, or at least making it not required for system link.
FatalDeathSG45
I knew another company would follow EA's stance on online passes sooner or later. Maybe Far Cry 3 and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will dump their online pass requirements soon...
Slaughter.
Awesome. That's one less asshole publisher to worry about. Now to Capcom...
EmagDrolBot
Excellent news. Now, let's work on this being retroactive, please... Maybe I can finally play the rest of the AC series.
