Chelsea, Spurs, Southampton, Swansea and City all got dumped out of the FA Cup today, lol.

Great chance for us to win our 12th FA Cup and become the most successful team in the cups history.

I was really enjoying Chelsea and City falling to pieces before Spurs followed suit. If Spurs were gonna be knocked out I would have actually preffered City/Chelsea won. Now Arsenal, Liverpool or United are gonna vulture a weak field to win the cup. Even Southampton are gone. I don't like West Ham so that leaves...Stoke. Stoke of all teams have to save football. Good lord.

The Spurs result was shocking, the City one even worse; but Ch5ls3a. Absolute joke of a club. This is the most embarrassing result by any English club in recent memory. 2-0 up at home to a League One side only to lose 4-2. You could write an essay on all the things pitiful about that. It's worse than City choking a 2-0 against Burnley at home. Worse than United against Leicester. Even worse than United against MK Dons because Chelsea were 2-0 up and at home. Also lol at Mourinho: "It would be a disgrace if Chelsea lost to Bradford City."

250,000,000 of supposed "talent" on the field and they couldn't beat a lowly league 2 side. Had me laughing immensely in work that night.

As much as it was embarrassing it happened, I don't feel too gutted about it. Its weird, especially after going 2-0 up, against a lower league side at home you'd think I'd be distraught. I dunno, it might be good for us to concentrate on the other three competitions, we were never going to win the quadruple. Mind you I don't think the players were too disheartened either, after half time it looked as if they let Bradford come at them and get back in the game.

For some sides there is a silver lining when they're knocked out of a cup. "Now we can focus on the league" and such. But teams like Chelsea, Spurs and City have such bloated squads more matches are actually better. They give fringe players valuable playing time they may not get in the league. And in the process not tire out the first teamers. It's actually worse for Chelsea/City than Spurs as the latter can play fringe players in the Europa League. Not sure that's a good idea for Champions League though.

So considering winning would have meant playing time for fringe players and being one step closer to a trophy, I was nothing but 100% disappointed when Spurs bottled it against Leicester. Even worse is that they're not around to take advantage of the weakest field in years. Such a waste. Of course in the first place these scenarios are usually caused by the B-team not stepping up when needed, so I guess it can't be helped.

Paying to watch almost any match live is pretty mad these days! Especially as with new owners, there might be a chance for Wednesday's games to be broadcast abroad, with the inevitable online streams available.

True.

Big turnout of Wednesday fans who were full of optimism up until Readings first goal. As soon as it went in the abuse started, they tore the team to shreds. Im all for letting the players have it if they walk off the pitch having been trounced; but to start on them after one first half goal was pathetic.

In other news, we have signed a guy called Bus. Surprised Mourinho didn't buy him. That second half performance from Chelsea was dire.

That new TV deal is disgusting. Rich getting richer and fuck everyone else. Burnley now richer than Ajax. What the fuck!

Premier League will soon become a rotation of 24-25 teams. The three that go down will go straight back up (you might get the odd shock in the playoffs).

Friday night games as well. Urgh! I bet Brian Clough is turning over in his grave. No doubt you get Southampton-Sunderland on the Friday as well.

Ha ha. Very true. It was an absolutely awful tackle.

Three massive wins for Liverpool. A lot of people (me included) had written off your CL chances. But your right back in contention now.

Aye. The form team of the league up to now.

Bit sad that the Skrtel incident overshadowed the match yesterday, mind I had to be in work last night so I missed the second half. Still, we can go to Ewood and beat them, and then I so massively hope we get those Salford twatbags in the semi finals.

One plus for them drawing us, is that if they get to Wembley, their fans won't have far to travel after the match is over.

Lol.

5% would have a coach trip back to Manchester, 90% would have a short bus/tube ride home and 5% would get a taxi to Gatwick/Heathrow and then an eight hour flight.

Imagine if they had got through and played Liverpool. Maybe dstyles parents would have flown over with him in the hope that he would start wearing the united 'jersey' they bought him and stop pestering them for a Chelsea one.

I can see him not realising Liverpool were in red and cheering when Sturridge scored thinking it was a united goal! After recovering from having the shite kicked out of him by some united 'fans' from Dublin he would spend the rest of the game asking the Japanese guy sitting next to him why Welbeck wasn't playing for united

Did you see all those arseholes with half and half scarves tonight?

Funny how after two years with no success all the united 'fans' have disappeared from this thread.

Less said about last night the better I think. That being said, our attacking play was decent, but we were woeful in defence. I agree with Peter Reid's comments after the game: we were set up to go on the attack, but left ourselves too open at the back. After a poor season, we've actually done fairly well defensively in the last few games, so I guess the result came down to a poorly balanced side being put out.

Nope, we've all gone as the season is over. The title is on its way to Chelsea, and Sky keeps telling us that the rest of the league table doesn't matter. Roll on next season!

Yeah, you're right about the title being over. Top four is done and dusted too.

Its all about the relegation race now. Kind of hope Leicester go down as I think that might mean Wednesday would start 2015/16 with Pearson as manager.

Hope Bournemouth can go up as well.

Bournemouth are wobbling a little, but having done so well all season, it'd be nice to see them go up.
