IMPOSSIBLE DAN
**********SPOILERS**********SPOILERS********** At the end of the game we are told the Dean is going to Vegas and Dog is going to the North West, the reason I ask is because earlier when I was exploring I was listening to the radio and it said there is a super-mutant that is killing innocents in the North West and we should stay away. So basically, can we find Dog if we explore a lot? As for Dean from what I have researched he went to Vegas to rob casinos, so can we find him in the casino in disguise or something? I know it is really, really unlikely, though it would be cool to meet Dean and Dog again. Just for old times sake.
Boo47
I don't believe you can actually find them, but how did you manage to not kill Dean? When I confronted him, I had to kill him. Is there a certain dialogue option I need to choose?

Is there a certain dialogue option I need to choose? i didnt kill anyone but dog/god (because my speech was too low i had to). im guessing you will never see the dlc characters again once you leave. T0b3
It's pretty obvious that they can't acompany you in the main game since the bonusses they give you are only beneficial in the DLC. Dean - Protection from that toxic clouds Dog - Devouring those Ghost guys Christine - Interrupting radio signals
IMPOSSIBLE DAN
Good point I forgot that. Though I did not necessarily mean as a companion I just mean coming across them in the Mojave.

Markolie
I didn't kill any of them - I believe Dean required high science or speech, Dog high speech, Christine nothing. I loved the huge amount of skill checks as they were exactly my 100'ed skills.

waxc3
no it wasnt speech or barter as mine are lower than 30. there were like 3 or 4 options on his conversations though. i think it was science i used... but damn i cant recall.
Boo47
I didn't bother going back and exhausting all of the options to see if I could find a way to talk him out of fighting, but I think another way to avoid killing him is to just leave the theater after he starts fighting you. Ethereal235
My barter was shit. I don't remember having to pass a check of any sort with Dean. He told me his plan, what he'd done to Christine, and I agreed to help him. Immediately after, I basically beat him to death, because what he'd done kind of pissed me off. Is there another moment later where you have to fight him, after the first time you come across him inside the casino? Does he try to turn on you? Or am I just forgetful? Mr Yac
i can't for the life of me keep him alive, no matter what options i choose it always ends with my having to fight him, only check i get is the 75 speech for calling his bluff on the key, if i get him to explain his plan it just comes to the end with me having no other options but saying it's time for him to die

Is there a certain dialogue option I need to choose? Fight with Dean or Christine for a while, run out of his/her sight for a little bit and they will stop fighting and you can converse with them again. I don't know if that is a glitch unique to my buggy game, but it is what I did on one play though. On the other, I just killed them all. I never want to see those jerks again! Dean - Protection from that toxic clouds Dog - Devouring those Ghost guys Christine - Interrupting radio signals Which is a shame really, would of been nice to of been able to keep them as companions an for them to just get different bonuses once back in the Mojave. Not like the DLC gives you much else worthwhile as a reward...

Hm, I currently have Raul (In a Remnants armor) and ED-E (With the upgraded weapon) with me and I pretty much don't do anything since both guys take out everything in a few shots. So there's no need for new companions, imo.

I never want to see those jerks again! i had to use a stealthboy because christine ALWAYS attacked me idk if it was because i had low medicine or what... but yes i used a stealhboy (what a waste) and then she wasnt hostile and i was able to keep her alive. at first i thought i needed her alive so she could talk into the mic and open the elevator so i wasted something like an hour doing this part of the game. This could be true, as he is in a farmstead to the Northwest. But out of all the hours I put into NV, I never once heard Mr. New Vegas mention a Super Mutant killing people. I actually met that Knightkin about a month before the DLC came out, so that can't be right. Although, I reloaded a previous save after meeting the Knightkin, and for some reason I can't seem to meet him again (although I haven't tried since they released the patch, so it might work for me now). xCGIx PUNISHER
Yeah Mr. New Vegas would usually just say the same old shit over and over again. Like how he talks about me liberating Primm despite the fact that I'm at the end of the game. (Or just before it, technically.) But I never did hear about a Super Mutant running around killing people, and if I did, I'm sure it was related to the Black Mountain quest where you go meet crazy Tabitha the Nightkin with her own radio station. Now that I think about it, this was probably it^. Not sure off the top of my head if Black Mountain is in the Northwest, but this seems like the most reasonable explanation. Black Mountain is more around the center, IIRC. The only story about Super Mutants I know of is the one about a Super Mutant refuge in a ski lodge in the northwest. That's Jacobstown. That's Jacobstown. but they aren't murdering anyone/anything there. i guess a better solution would be to find out if anything in the wasteland changes with the addition of the dlc other than a few short things with veronica - such as wayne newton telling us that there's a murderous super mutant on the loose in some vague northwest location.
