Questions regarding the game itself....

Well...I'm debating if this game is worth buying. Those of you who own the game already...if you would be kind enough to provide your opinions I'd greatly appreciate it. Is it a rent or a buy? I really enjoy Star Wars...but is it one of the better Star Wars games? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

-Cheers

I don't own this game, but i plan on buying it. Why?

Reasons why I am buying this game:

#1 I have the money

#2 I don't plan on buying anything else till GOW2

#3 It's too much of a hassle waiting to rent it

#4 I can always go back and play it again

#5 It's fun to slice people up with lightsaber whenever I want

But i hear that the gameplay is short, and that you could 100% this game in a rental's time. (but you probably wouldn't enjoy it very much. It's up to you.

I have $15 deposit on the game at my local EB Games..but I'm kinda having second thoughts after playing the demo. It seems to be a repatative game...with little or no replay value. I'll see what other users have to say...but I havent seen any online reviews yet.

the online reviews range from 5s-8s. however, the 5s are misleading because they use the scale where 5 is average, while other mags use 7s (which is generally what people assume do to GI's popularity)

My opinion of most single player games with no online is that you should rent them. However, i don't play that many games to start with, and so going into online renting which is the only method i'd theoretically be able to use isn't worth it for me. Plus i've been looking forward to this game for so long there's no reason not to purchase it.

Now then i would like to point out a few things for you to think about concerning the difference between the demo and the real game

1) you are only basic level. You cannot upgrade your force powers or moves, so you're stuck with the advanced force push (which they put in just to show off the physics).

2) Half the options in the game aren't available to you, such as just click and forget lock on targeting

ok, i thought the list would be longer, but number 1 is a big reason to be bored with the demo.
