TES: Morrowind. That game was just all kinds of amazing.

I could literally get lost for days exploring and finding new weird things.

Never seen anything like it prior to that game, and haven't experienced anything like it since.

2nd would be Might and Magic 7

3rd would be Ultima: Worlds of Adventure 2 - Martian Dreams

4th would have to be Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

Yeah I adored replaying Halo CE again, was so nice to have the achievements to go at. I'd love a Halo 2 make over, with an online maps pack for Halo 4 (next year maybe).

Bethesda are rightly featured alot here, I love the depth of game you get with the Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises.

None xbox wise, I love Zelda and Uncharted games as well. But my heart will always be with the john 117.

System Shock 2

Baldur's Gate II

The Elderscrolls III: Morrowind

Fallout 2

Hitman: Codename 47

Earthbound

Zelda: A link to the past

comes to mind, many more out thare

Great choices, thought I never liked the hitman games, but sure the rest are classics. Why they've never made a update/sequel to System Shock 2 is one of the greatest crimes to gaming. Old tes/zelda and baldurs gate rock, I'd have to add both Neverwinter Nights in there as well.

Wait, is this for the Xbox 360 or across all platforms? I wish people would stop posting multi-game discussion threads in the wrong section.

Edit.

Moderator moved to Games. Thank you.

Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood are tied for me. AC2 was a huge improvement over the first in gameplay and story, and Brotherhood added to the franchise narrative-wise. Revelations wasn't really as engaging to me. The new gameplay additons were great (aside from Tower Defense), but it felt more like a filler game than the first two in the Ezio trilogy.

Bioshock (and Bioshock 2: Minervas den)

Fallout New Vegas (the original is superb also)

Portal and Portal 2

Half Life 2 and Episodes 1 and 2

System Shock 2

Deus Ex (original and HR)

The Witcher 2

Why they've never made a update/sequel to System Shock 2 is one of the greatest crimes to gaming.

EA still has the rights. Sadly. I wouldn't be surprised if Dead Space came about when EA decided to look for a way to reboot the series and make it popular with a wider audience although as good as DS is, it can't hold a candle to SS IMO.

  • 3 weeks later...

Have to agree with everyone saying Red Dead redemption. I was clearing out all the old trailer videos on my Xbox (there NEEDS to be a faster way to delete them than deleting individually) and I watch the launch trailer for it again and its really made me want to go back to it!

Never actually did the zombie DLC (I bought it) so I just might. :)
