Your most hated enemy? (a bit late I know)

Didn't see any thread of this within a few pages, so figured I'd start it myself even though it's about a year after the release of the game ;P some enemies can be frustrating, all in all though I'm getting through the game just fine, that is until I came anywhere near an area full of god forsaken pinwheel skeletons...

They have got to be the stupidest enemy in this game in my opinion... If you have no poise you're basically stun locked to instant death and there's nothing you can do... This is really the only enemy in this game that just makes me wanna throw my controller at my TV, I won't do that though... xD

Yeah I think I agree with your choice. It only takes a simple mistake and you are done for. Plus it doesn't help that they appear in very dark areas so they can easily catch you unaware.

I suspect for people that have only done one play through there might be a case for the Capra Demon who is a pretty tough prospect at that relatively early stage.

My vote goes for the Bounding Demons if you choose not to use the shortcut. How does a fleet of headless T-Rex see me from across the zone?! (It seems to be better since the big patch they did for some reason. Maybe they changed their aggro radius?)

Pinwheels are definitely annoying but I just back near a wall, roll out of the way of their charge and turn around and smack'em a few times while they are spinning into said wall. :p

Honestly Bonewheels never gave me that much trouble. (That's what the rolling skeleton enemies are called btw. Pinwheels are the boss enemies that wear the masks of the Mother, Father, and Child. They become a common enemy type in the Tomb of the Giants right outside Nito's chamber.)

My most frustrating enemy type would be the Toxic Blow dart enemies in Blighttown. These guys are a real problem when you first start the game. Once you know where they are, they're easy to kill before they cause any trouble. It's also nice that they're unique enemies that permanently die once they've been killed.

Sorry haven't really done much research on the enemy names ;P just bought the game literally 2 weeks ago, but I definitely hate the toxic blow dart enemies as well, I am really happy that they don't respawn once you kill them. I've still yet to do Tomb of the giants, hate the darkness and whatnot, plus those skeleton towers always catch me off my guard and they hit me hard since my character is a glass cannon.

if it has to be trash crystal archers their arrows just take off way too much of life, titinete demons in closed spaces, toxic spewing guys in Blighttown the two archers in Anor Londo get a big FU, painted world exploding guys, dogs, mosquitos in Blighttown, crystal lizards, 2nd crystal golem inside of crystal cave, ghosts.

wow I had no idea I have such a long list of hated enemies :) I hate them all equally.

PS: I am not saying I have problems with any of them. I still hate them!

Im surprised nobody mentioned the silverknight archers in Anor Londo! Most unfair part of the game! I cannot count that far how often they have thrown me off that damn thin walkway with their dragonslayer-bow

The post right above you mentioned the 2 archers. :p

They aren't bad at all once you learn that you can shoot them with poison arrows while standing well out of range of their attacks. It takes a few minutes for them to die from the poison but it beats the alternative. :woop:

I've heard of people poisoning them and just waiting it out. I've never had the patience for that though. I always charge them balls out and go for the parry. I have died MANY times because of my reckless nature in this matter. But it feels so satisfying when it works. :p I can't even count the number of times I've made it to the archer with no problems at all only to get facialed like a porn star from point blank range. It is very funny seeing a massive arrow the size of a sword sticking out of your head from that distance though. :D

For me it is the bonewheels. I have no problems with them when there is only one of them, but if there are a couple I just end up getting annihilated.

This made me laugh. Those dragonslayer arrows are definitely compensation for something haha.

Most annoying enemies for me were the Bonewheels and the most annoying boss is Four Kings on NG++++++.

Another annoyance were the two knights with the Dragonslayer Bows. However, there's nothing more satisfying than pinging them off the map with your own Dragonslayer Bow. =)

That's because all you need to do to get past that part, is roll each time the one on the right shoots at you while on the ledge, then block and he eventually pushes himself off the ledge. Or poison them from a distance and let em slowly die. Although I will admit, before figuring that out the first time I got there...it made me seriously annoyed lol.

Oh, super easy for a Cleric with Wrath of Gods too. Regular force doesn't really work on them but WOG's will throw them right off :D

Most annoying for me, hollows with torches. They do way WAY to much damage with them lol.

Hated the first Capra Demon, but the Pinwheel skeles still win this topic for me.

Probably figured this out by now but a shield with good stability is very good against them, they won't take very much of your stamina while blocking em. Baldur shield +15 for example works extremely well.

I refuse to throw my controller for this game. Already enjoying it too much.

Only just recently picked it up after much internal debate having too many games on the go as it is (but finding it dirt cheap on Amazon, with the hardcover guide, for less than a copy of the game alone would cost :woop:)

I've only defeated the very first boss, Asylum Demon. Haven't gotten very far or leveled up much at all.

So all I can say is that my most hated enemy is ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.

Those bastards that throw fire bombs at you while being attacked by other skeletons.... FUCK YOU!!

Fuck gravity too! :p

*snippage*

Gackt: was that you trying to show me that shortcut ladder? How the F*$(^#$)(@*#(^$@* do you get up there?!!??!!? I can't jump or find a way to climb up...

Think at that point I wasn't even trying to go anywhere, just farming those skeletons for souls to level up since I was still near enough a fire I could get back to. Damn this game is hard :p

I think the Ghosts in New Londo are the most annoying to me. They come out of nowhere from all angles and I will sometimes not notice my Transient Curse has run out which usually leads to my death.

I remember HATING the Capra Demon when I first played the game on PS3 at launch. I beat him first try in the PC version. Smarter build plus a lucky Black Knight Shield drop made all the difference. :D
